It's always baffled me why Draculaura is still in school. Like, obviously she can't age, but surely she would have completed her course work a dozen times over.
I think it's due to constant advances in the academic world. For instance, if you were raised in a time where there were only 13 discovered periodic elements, or where you were taught the sun orbits the earth, you'd need a more recent education. Not to mention the advancements in languages with some dying out and others evolving.

Draculaura was born in 412 ad then 1600 years later the “Why do ghouls fall in love” movie takes place, and it takes place in 2012 WHEN THE MOVIE WAS RELEASED! The writers did good with this one
I mean, it's easy to get the year of her birth correct when you choose if based on the release date of the movie where the entire plot revolves around her 1600th birthday.
My opinion is that elizabeth is born pure blood vampire. A "pure-blood" vampire is a concept that is often used in fictional works, particularly in the genre of vampire fiction. It's worth noting that the concept of pure-blood vampires is purely fictional and has no basis in reality or mythology. The portrayal of vampires, whether pure-blood or otherwise, varies widely across different works of fiction, so the specific characteristics and abilities of pure-blood vampires can vary depending on the story.
Also worth noting that Frankie's back story is different in the Lisa H books. She is actually the GREAT granddaughter of Dr. Frankenstein and the granddaughter of Frankenstein's monster. She also isnt made up of multiple cadavers, instead the body parts that make her are artificial (I think 3d printed?) which makes sense considering finding bodies that match would be difficult bc people come in all shapes and sizes. Her psychical appearance is also slightly different.
I remember someone made a video about Spectra and I mentioned because of her journalism and her habit to make up stories, my theory is that she was a journalist who crossed the wrong people and to keep her quiet, she was killed via drowning based on the balls and chains on her shoes.
Not only that she was well versed in technology than the Monster High girls, you rarely see them with phones but not Spectra, I believe she died in 2000s judging from her gadgets
Adding to the fact that their dad uses money to solve everything, I'm pretty sure this is why she goes against her dad and nefera and dates deuce, he gives her safety and love which cleo doesn't get much (or at all) at home. This happens in a few movies.
I still have so many questions about their backstory it's so interesting and makes sense but at the same time so confusing still. I wish we got more information about the characters backstories they're so interesting
As someone who didn’t really get into monster high as a kid when I grew up, it’s interesting listening to their voices and I love how much the voices suit the characters. It’s great casting and great voice acting from these short glimpses. Plus it’s interesting see that they have family
You know what's creepy? Ramses brother tried to kill his family and Nef and Cleo also have a rivalry lol but they'd never do that. When thinking of villains Aminita isn't mentioned enough, she's pure evil for what she did! And Cleo and Drac's backstories are so sad :(
I don't know, if we are talking gen 1 Nef did try to marry off Cleo to a stranger with the intent to manipulate her and take over the world. Not to mention how she bullies Cleo and Deuce to the point Deuce ends up leaving Cleo due to being manipulated by Nef and both of them end up so depressed they have no motivation to do anything anymore and they just do what others tell them to do even if they are against it. Then when they realised they wanted to be together forever Nef tried to use multiple magical items to try and make them lose all hope and love that they had so I wouldn't be surprised if she tried to murder her at some point either in the past or future. I mean she did bring them to a point that would cause most people to commit sui***e which I feel like is basically the same thing as murdering someone
To add on to that; what if Spectra was a journalist who got saw something she shouldn't have which caused her and her family to be executed by drowning (ball and chains on her outfit)
I think Monster High should create an animation series (or a full length movie) that deeper explores the lives of Monster High characters post enrollment. The backstories of characters like Cleo, Draculaura, and Spectra are simply too interesting and complex to be reduced to a couple sentences in various diaries. It needs more attention and depth! And also, they should show the backstories of other characters who don’t really have backstories. I think it would be a great way for Mattel to honour old fans, since it’s confirmed that g1 is still alive and how Monster High is a multiverse. It wouldn’t take away from g3 at all.

He did not specify who had died. I theorize Spectra, Vandala, and Johnny Spirit. *And it’s not just the kids who have sad parts to their backstories! Like, sure: They gotta get those brains from somewhere. But, *still* xD That said: I do find it a little sad that they made Ghoulia verbal in G3. She was really neat rep.
If I'm not mistaken, it's stated in one of the Monster High journal books that Cleo and Nefera's mother became an archeologist since she began to prefer a normal lifestyle rather than the luscious-rich life after being separated from the family while being in hiding yet during her career, she traveled all over the world, never stopping to find her family. During one of her archeologist journeys, her and her team unfortunately became trapped in a tomb for many years (which was believed to be in the catacombs) but was soon freed and reunited with her family :) My headcanon is that she wasn't freed and reunited with the family until after "Boo York, Boo York" and during (or after) "The Great Scarrier Reef" hence why it's possible thats why Cleo wasn't in the movie in the first place.
I get that it's a kid show/movies so it's supposed to be light-hearted and not so dark, but I wish the characters talked about their backstories more in the show and movies because I find it all really interesting and want to know more as I have a few questions

Actually im wondering why draculaura almost dies without a phone. If he phone doesn't connect, she has the strongest reaction. Not even clawdeen or frankie, but she is 1600 years old, phones not even 50. She should be know how to handle herself without one
Maybe Sepctra and her family murdered someone. The shackles on her hands could indicate that, like if they were caught. Maybe the jealous uncle plays a part 🤔 What if that’s the reason gholia keeps it a secret? And maybe Spectra got the death penalty or someone in prison ended her life 🤷♀️
I'm pretty sure dedyet got trapped apart in the tomb and is an explorer, searching for her family and she got trapped in the catacombs with hexiciah. I believe they get back to monster high in hexiciah's diary or robecca's sdcc diary

I am curious as to where the information of Dracualaura came from. In gen 1 and gen 3 we see Draculauras mother alive and well and in both generations it is her biological mother and both are vampires. In gen 1 we see the scene and hear the story about how she had to flee from Transylvania due to a miss understanding with the locals but her and her mother both made it out fine. In gen 3 we know that she is Taiwanese and we see her mother alive and well during the family sports episode.
I feel like Cleo's mom would be her dad's sister or cousin... which is messed UP but incest was very common in egypt to 'keep the bloodline pure' or something... fun fact,, King Tut died from being a product of a long line of incest!

definitely should have (Gen 1) in title as a lot of these backstories have been retconned by G3 (which I kinda prefer, the character development and writing is way better in the new gen).
The newest gen of Monster High has redesigned them to be nonbinary and use they/them pronouns. Since this video is focusing in gens 1 and 2 technically it’d be better use she/her since the reboot is a new continuity altogether, but I presume it’s just out of courtesy

I get that it's a kid show/movies so it's supposed to be light-hearted and not so dark, but I wish the characters talked about their backstories more in the show and movies because I find it all really interesting and want to know more as I have a few questions

Maybe Sepctra and her family murdered someone. The shackles on her hands could indicate that, like if they were caught. Maybe the jealous uncle plays a part 🤔 What if that’s the reason gholia keeps it a secret? And maybe Spectra got the death penalty or someone in prison ended her life 🤷♀️

Spectra's origin is my favorite.
I am curious as to where the information of Dracualaura came from. In gen 1 and gen 3 we see Draculauras mother alive and well and in both generations it is her biological mother and both are vampires. In gen 1 we see the scene and hear the story about how she had to flee from Transylvania due to a miss understanding with the locals but her and her mother both made it out fine. In gen 3 we know that she is Taiwanese and we see her mother alive and well during the family sports episode.
I don't remember Draculaura's mom ever being mentioned in that scene, but the information comes from the diary of a Draculaura clloectors doll.
I feel like Cleo's mom would be her dad's sister or cousin... which is messed UP but incest was very common in egypt to 'keep the bloodline pure' or something... fun fact,, King Tut died from being a product of a long line of incest!

The newest gen of Monster High has redesigned them to be nonbinary and use they/them pronouns. Since this video is focusing in gens 1 and 2 technically it’d be better use she/her since the reboot is a new continuity altogether, but I presume it’s just out of courtesy
