I Really REALLY wish Mattel would just give G3 stands
The Bows on the skirt are supposed to be on the right side and the velcro in the back. The velcro is also supposed to be thicker so that you can kind of not velcro it at all the way so that fits bigger body types better.
Feeling a bit silly for not just shifting the skirt 💀
I think this will be the first Skulltimate Secrets line I get all of the dolls from. I love their outfits and accessories.
It does help that it no longer costs $150 to buy them all
at the 12:24 mark you're pointing out the dedicated shape for hanging it on the wall on the first locker while that same shape is present and in view on the new locker in that same frame.
i like both lockers tbh, and they're both designed to hang on the wall.

27:43 when I saw the socks I was SOOO disappointed and honestly offended, but then I realized that Fearbook Toralei also has the same type of situation going on with her fishnets which means you can’t wear them with any shoes that aren’t big chunky boots. I was able to make my draculaura look good with like by trying to shove her shoes on while the fishnets were still on her feet and then pulling them up so that they aren’t gapping but idk it’s just lazy and a weird thing to pull budget from.
I agree with you the old lockers had way more space but the Draculaura is absolutely gorgeous and I need her. She is the Draculaura very Valloween coded!
Also this Draculaura gives me 70's pop chic vibes. ❤
I know the designer said in their stories to put the skirt at the hips and to put the top over the skirt. So maybe that would work better (though they did show it on Venus, not Draculaura; also, the Velcro will show)
I’ll def try the shirt on top! But yeah the Velcro showing is sad…maybe for other people it will be okay but I’ll get irritated by it lol

There are 2 roundish holes to hang it on the wall. It's sort of a tear drop shape. It's camouflaged in with the grate on the back. So, if you did hang it, you would see the nail or screw head inside, on the back closet wall. Hope that makes sense.
Also 100% agree on the lockers, if they are going to keep them, please bring back the old ones which were at least useful 🙄
so the magnifying glass is only for the instruction paper, theres nothing on the bags its just telling you to find the piece inside. thought they would have changed that from the ballerina line because everyone was confused and hated it
Actually, I think you can still put the locker on the wall. If you look carefully the back, there are 2 round-shaped holes in the middle of square-shaped holes that look exactly like the holes of the first lockers.
This new locker is more esthetic for display than pratical for storage the accessories. I think it is a fun change more for those who have already a ton of the firsts lockers. 😂
For the mystery part with the key, you're supposed to see a symbol that indicates which piece you can find inside. But I think this part is kinda pointless because you'll open the paper bags anyway so...😅
Anyway, this red Draculaura is super cute. ❤ The red skirt is the only piece I don't like but all the rest makes an elegant and delicate look.

I agree with you on the new lockers. What i liked about the old lockers was that they had really good functional storage space for all the accessories and clothing pieces my dolls aren’t currently wearing. They new lockers just don’t have big enough storage spaces to hold much and with the gate style i can’t put tiny accessories inside because they might fall out and become an instant cat toy lol i love the pop up mechanic because i just find it kinda funny but not enough to keep more than one of the lockers. Which is sad cuz i kept all the old lockers for storage purposes but I’ll probs only keep one and be recycling any extra “pop up” lockers because they don’t serve any purpose to me.
They all still have the space to hang them on the wall, its in the middle of the upper cavinets. The only thing I'd like to them to learn from this clostes is to make the doll stand be able to be put in the middle and that the doll actually stands on the lever, that way to looks better

I think you can still hang the new one on a wall through the gaps in the back.
I prefer the look of the new locker..But I don't like how the middle space is wasted.

This was my first SS doll and I went through a similar process opening and assembling it 😂
The new locker does have the same hanging holes! They just blend in with the cage pattern in the back.
Also I’m just like… they put all this effort into this weird unboxing gimmick and have this pseudo stand so she can lean against the box and I’m just like please just give us regular doll stands. Why do all this when they could just give us a stand
And just… the fact that where the doll was originally stored is so tucked back you can’t even use it. I like the original lockers for storing doll clothes and you can’t really put anything wherre the doll was stored originally
I like that the corset has those two size settings too since that means you could have it on her over clothes, or you could have it on without clothes under it and still have it fit
I understand the not-sock since my core draculauras socks are already covered in holes at the toe just from redressing her, but I wish they could have gone with a stronger mesh/tights material and made it a full sock
I feel the same way about the "new lockers" I love the colors on them, but eh. I bought all 3 dolls, they're all gorgeous 😍 and Venus has the least heinous hair, it's super soft poly. I ordered a straightener to help sort out my poly hair dolls, because I have quite a few.
They could have put those heart shapes for the waistclip in the center. That way, the black lever shelf (Mattel even could have made the whole lever into a rose-shape. This way, she could be supported by a rosebud) could have supported Draculaura. Which would, IMO, look much cuter than her just dangling.
Regarding the skirt: they should either have it adapted better to her shape. It really is a little very short on her. I like the dress much better on Drac.
You could prob fix the skirt by removing the velcro, sewing up the seam part of the way making it slightly loser, use the tiniest bit of seam allowance possible, putting a little bit of velcro back at the top, or you could do a tiny snap, then give her a crotch strap so it sits where you want. Not sure if the cute hips will make that problematic, but if no, it will be a nicer fit!
On the back of the of the 2 upper compartments there is a teardrop shape that is made for hanging the locker on the wall. I hope that helps 😊

Its crazy that the lockers got bigger but have less utility. I git the abbey from the performers line and her clothes and accessories dont fit in the locker 🫠
The red bit on the key doesn't reveal anything on the baggies afaik, and instead on the instructions sheet! Which is silly but that's how it be. Love your videos! 💛🤗

Oh no the skirt! 😬 i was really excited about that too. Maybe it would look better with the plastic corset piece on top to kind of shape it more? Wish it looked more like the stock photo
Apparently for Venus at least the plush skirt is meant to be worn with the top over it instead of under…my Drac’s still getting a hair wash so I haven’t tried on her yet but I’m hoping the same will be true for her
Agree about the locker being better than the closet. The stand attached to the side makes no sense and looks weird for display. I would love a real monster high closet for doll clothes storage though!!

Anyway, this was a really useful review for me. I've skipped all the Skulltimate Secrets dolls so far because I just don't have the space for those giant lockers, but I really really love this Drac and her color scheme. The design of this locker is weird and I feel like the center part will become a huge dust trap when on display, but I do like the colors and how it's all symmetrical. I see a few others have already commented this, but why Mattel didn't put the waist clip spots directly above the lever so Drac could stand on it just baffles me. Without mounting it to the wall, there's no way the locker could handle the weight of two dolls clipped to the front, and having Drac off-center would be such an eyesore for me.
I think I will get her in the end, but only on a hefty discount.

All they had to do was sew a crotch strap in the skirt. MGA is great about that, but Mattel...I don't think they ever do that.
I love every doll from this line so I bought them all, shout-out to target circle week! This Draculaura honestly might be her prettiest base doll in g3 so far. Love the makeup and even though the hair is not saran, it’s color is stunning. For me I kept her in the dress, but put the long sleeve shirt under it and I thinks it’s cute. And I have to agree on them being cheap with not giving a full sock, like why? Especially when Venus from this line does have a full one. Twyla got it the worst though with such small not full socks, poor girl

I just can't get myself to like the new skulltimate secrets. The dolls from SS4 and SS5 are just a NO. and so much plastic (accessories) and it looks cheap!!
She is pretty but I’m not a fan of red and the darker hair/accessories don’t appeal to me. The case would have been so much better if they had made it to open in the front. There could have been a pretty background with doors that open outward. So much more space for storage could have been used that way. It’s so much wasted space that can’t be accessed. I’m not sure if I will get her or not. I could repaint some of her things, but it’s not something I want to do all the time. I’m glad you are happy with her 😊 even though not everything was the best.
Ditto on all points, sad. Getting cheaper. It seems like many dolls going this route.
I'm so tired of repeat Monster High characters at this point, and I have 11 of these giant lockers already. I do like this doll but I'm hesitant to add another Draculaura doll to my collection when I already have so many.
It feels like every UA-camr overthinks the gimmick. We had coloring/activity books with that gimmick when I was a kid.
Also shouldn't the velcro go on the back? Why try to Velcro on the side?
Why is Mattel so fixated on poly hair instead of saran? Ugh!

Skulltimate really dropped in quality after Series 2… and it makes me really sad because series 1 & 2 were never released where I live.
I like the idea of her outfit but I just can't stand red with pink together.. doll herself is pretty.

The problem with her clothes is that now mattel is making clothes for mix and match with other characters because of the fashionista wanabes 💀 and now body types like this pay the consecuence... they are ruining the experience for the rest of the collectors that just want a pretty doll
