To be honest it is possible to one man with typhlosion and feraligator, i know ive tried it many times but megnium no. Also to have a typhlosion at wittney is insane grinding.... So... Good job....
It was actually easy for me to beat milktank, i used 4 to 5 smoke screen and then boom she lands 1 out of every 3 attack so my quilava and Wooper’s mud shot did the job quite nicely!!
#8 Advice : 2nd Battle with May
If you choose Mudkip and evolved it into Marshtomp, You would definitely win with a Zubat and Electrike. You see, May's first pokemon is wingull, which you have an advantage having an Electrike, it would probably 1 hit - K.O wingull. May's next pokemon is Slugma. Use Marshtomp to destroy Slugma and continue. May's last pokemon is Grovyle. All you have to do is use Zubat, and your Zubat would have probably knew the move "Wing attack" Which destroys every Grass type. Use Zubat to Defeat Grovyle at Continue your Journey.

well i would've liked to see the games trainers which comprised very little of the list incredibly with 1 being a glitch and only half of the list being from normal pokemon trainers from games though i never had many problems with many of the list since i had the bad habit of no item, no run, battle all trainers, wich made my pokemon severely out level many many times which in turn made the battles a lot easier

I totally agree with you on round 2 Fisher being the #1 toughest trainer. I remember I used a combination of rentals and my own pokemon. The three I chose to fight him were a rental Lapras (lv 15), my own level 16 Dratini, and my own level 19 Dragonair (to counter to counter his level 20 one). You could actually catch a low level Dragonair (before the level Dratini was even supposed to evolve at) in the pokemon yellow safari zone by fishing in one specific area. I used Dratini to thunder wave his Dragonair before launching its ice beam, my own Dragonair to finish it off (as well as his other two pokemon) with dragon rage, and actually managed to win by getting lucky and freezing it with an ice beam, from the rental lapras, at the last second when I was about to lose!
i remember fisher, one of the toughest battles out there. here's the strategy i used for anyone who is having trouble: choose ponyta and if he chooses dragonair, gamble with horn drill. if he chooses alakazam then you need to figure something out because he's a real problem lmao...

yeah I never played Black and White proper, but I did play Drayano's Volt White Hack. (Basically the same game, just with a way higher difficulty curve, starters get their hidden ability, so you chose Contrary Snivy always, and there's pokémon from every region, and you can catch starters with their normal ability from the beginning.)
3 leaders I just couldn't get past for the longest time. The normal leader, the electric one, and the ground one. Though Serperior with some speed training took out the the ground type one.

Hidden Number 1: Ultra Necrozma without prior knowledge or beneficial RNG.
For Whitney, I found Rattata/Raticate's "Super Fang" to be most effective against Miltank.
For Brock (Yellow Version), Butterfree's "Confusion" & Nidoran's "Poison Sting" are your best bet for victory IMO.
Pokemon Puzzle League was definitely the one I found most difficult. Like Tetris, it starts off easy & has you sweating bullets by the end!... still fun though.😁👍
Whitney's Miltank and Claire's Kingdra were both the bane of my existence back in the day.
Kingdra is hard if you chose Cyndaquil, but if you got Chikorita, you're lucky.

@@RomeDoesStuff You can't compare Tate and Liza in the Emerald version with the Ruby/Sapphire (or Omega Ruby/Alpha Sapphire) version.
In Ruby/Sapphire they only have a Solrock and a Lunatone lvl.42 (OR/AR: 45).
In the Emerald version they have Solrock an Lunatone lvl.42 plus a Xatu and a Claydol! (Every Pokemon with the ability "levitate")
They start with Xatu and Claydol. Xatu starts with "sunny day" to reduce the strength of your water-moves. After the two are using "psychic" or Claydol uses "earthquake" or "ancient power". If you manage to beat the two, you face Solrock and Lunatone and both of them are holding a "sitrus berry"...
If you play with 5-6 pokemon, your pokemon are about lvl.35-37 (maybe one is about lvl.40.) And you can't really find really good dark type pokemon. (just absol and sharpedo)

I actually never thought it was hard, because of how I played the games. If my Pokemon can level up if I fight like 8 wild Pokemon, then I would do it. This caused my Pokemon to be overleveled usually. By the time I reached Whitney, my starter would be nearly lv 30.
Similarly, May's fight after slate port wasn't a issue due to this .
Also with Quilava with Smokescreen or Pidgeotto with Sand Attack to lower her accuracy

"at the time she had the highest levelled team" uh no Red has always had the highest levelled team in the games, his highest being Pikachu with 81 in GSC and 88 in HGSS

You know who should have been on this list? Giovanni in Pokémon Puzzle League, on very hard mode! I eventually defeated Jesse and James, but this man! While he was a pushover in the lower modes, this guy is almost like the final boss! It took me 2 days to beat that guy!
In my playthrough of pokemon gold I just leveled all my pokemon to level 100 before whittney.

Totem lurantis wasn't too much of a challenge. I had all three starters so I used torracat to beat it before it could summon a trumbeak
Hooray for Torracat who took (about) 2-3 fire type attacks for the Lurantis and 2-4 for the Castform. Not giving any chance for Trumbeak to come. Maybe less with the attack numbers, i dunno it was just quick for me
my battle with lurantis was a mess first time because I did not even know what a lurantis was
I destroyed it with my Salazzle the second attempt though after knowing it's move pool
The best way to beat Darkrai in my opinion is by playing as Skitty since it has a diverse move pool in the Mystery Dungeon series. I taught Skitty Blizzard and it KOed pretty much all of Darkrai’s allies. That way you can beat Darkrai pretty quickly, but it’s still pretty hard.

generation 1 player who played yellow. Brock was literally impossible for me since I had no knowledge of a Nidoran with double kick and I was very young...The good old times :)

Adalberto D'Souza There were ways to do it easily. You could catch a Mankey on route 22 in yellow, and it learnt STAB low kick. And/or a Butterfree with confusion, Brock was a piece of cake.

cerwyn123 Everyone knew Mankey was a fighting type, and he was pretty common on the small route you probably went up to fight Blue for the second time and/or train your Pikachu and other mons up. So tbh I don't think it was exactly a mystery.

It's interesting that a subjectively difficult fight such as the second May fight which relies on you speedrunning the game for it to be difficult is ranked above a fight which is difficult regardless of the circumstances in which you fight it with that being the Cynthia fight.
No joke though, that fight getting a higher ranking than Cynthia is just lame.

A list like this? You mean one based on his opinions? He said up front that it was his opinion and he decided to include all types of battles, and obviously he chose to include speedrun battles. So I'm not sure why you think this list needs to cater to most people and ignore the niche crowd. Its not like its official or anything.
I agree. Not every player is a speed runner. IMO I think he’s better off making a serperate list for that. It annoys me a little when he does that.
Morgan Anderson what bothers me more is that the mystery dungeon entry wasn't kecleon. Or none of the battles you have to catch a shadow Pokemon in the coliseum games were in. Kecleon is literally the most powerful Pokemon in any mystery dungeon game hands down. The only ways to beat it are A use moves that guarantee a specific amount of damage or B use a ghost Pokemon to hide in the walls. And when you steal from kecleon you not only have to fight one Pokemon that is like top tier power in the game multiple show up in the dungeon. Imagine the darkrai fight but all the minions are darkrai plus they all use agility to boost their speed aka the amount of turns they get before you instead of double team.
We all know that the battle with Youngster Joey was the hardest of all. His top percentage Rattata can even OHKO Mewtwo.

Shlok Koirala That was in Platinum, BW2 or sun and moon. In Pearl and Diamonds she’s the best trainer in any game and she was so OP they mega nerfed her in platinum.

I'd say the hardest battle in the series is Greevil, from XD Gale of Darkness. Not because he has all three legendary birds, or because his other three are top tier, or because you could consider him the only trainer in the series to attack you with 7 Pokemon if you count the Shadow Lugia battle immediately beforehand.
No, it's because all of his Pokemon are Shadow Pokemon. This means two things: they're all packing overpowered Shadow moves that are always supereffective against non-Shadow Pokemon (which yours will be if you want them to be at a decent level). And you're supposed to CATCH them rather than KO them. You don't have to, but you're clearly supposed to.
You're supposed to catch SIX Pokemon, three of which are the Legendary Birds, in one battle. A double battle at that, which ups the pace and makes defensive strategies much more difficult. It's an endurance match like nothing else the series has ever produced.
I want to say that the battle against Cynthia in Black & White is the hardest of the battles against her. Perhaps the most difficult is the battle against Red in the original Gold and Silver. Or Lance in the same games. For Witney, I just traded the Drowzee for the Machop and grinded it to level 25. Instant win. Doesn't take long either.

One of the hardest battles i remember is the double trainer battle just outside the west entrance to Veilstone City. I remember it feeling like i was banging my head against the wall.

Where's Morty? That fucking Gengar. How am I supposed to be able to take on a Gengar at level 25? In GSC it might've been fine because Shadow Ball was physical, but in HGSS it was fucking hell. Nothing you get at that level could outspeed it, and not much could tank a level 25 base 130 SpA Gengar's STAB Shadow Ball.
It was easy for me.
I had a team of Bayleef, Togetic, Umbreon, and a Raticate. Though, I suppose it helped that I had a dark type pokemon.
How did you get an Umbreon that fast? You literally get the Eevee right before you fight Morty, it took me (umbr)eons to evolve that thing before fighting him.

In HGSS, Shadow Ball is a special attack, so it does a LOT more damage.

Yeah that's the best strategy, but it'll still take a while. Geodude is still slow, so Stomp can still flinch you and Milk Drink can probably heal more than Magnitude can deal. Your best bet is still to get it locked into Rollout and then hit it hard.

There's a girl in the mall that will trade her machop for a drowzee. Kenya spearow can kinda help with clefairy first, but Getting machop makes it a lot easier. If miltank knew defense curl instead of stomp though, it would be gg as in g/s/c rollout did double damage if you used defense curl so the max damage would of been 300 instead of 150 there's no surviving that. Though u could use the x defense etc. Probably why they put the day care and bike in the same town. For a in case nobody remembers.

Brock can be quite easy in PKMN Yellow sometimes if you have a butterfree with confusion, just spam confusion and let the battle play out, and be sure to have potions
Step 1: pick Totodile
2: Learn rage
3: only use Totodile up to Goldenrod
4: Go To gym, save your game
5: Use rage on every Pokémon, if all your attacks hit goes down in 3 turns tops. Easy
