- Pizza Rolls with Broccoli Rabe and Sausage Filling + Pizza Rolls with Ricotta and Leeks - This a perfect preparation for picnics, buffets, and snacks; it is best when served warm, but also makes a good room-temperature snack at a picnic. Along with a tossed salad, it is a fantastic lunch or brunch. Either of these fillings makes enough for the whole batch of dough, so, if you want to make both and are feeding a crowd, make a double batch of dough. Buon Gusto!

Meravigliosa! I will definitely make these. Your recipes are so wonderful. Mia nonna d'Abruzzo used to make a sweet Easter Bread stuffed with basket cheese, raisins, eggs and parsley. She called it scazelle sp? We aren't sure how to spell it and have searched high and low for the word. You called these pizza rolls scatccia? How do you spell this and what is the translation? Could they be related? Also, we visited your marketplace in Chicago and ate at the restaurant there and it was delicious. Mille grazie.
Funny stuff "when you're in the Kitchen you may not have every equipment" I have the equipment in my garage to MAKE the equipment I need for the Kitchen. The Tongs to open a Beer was IMPRESSIVE though. 😍
