1:09 I didn't like the way that Kevin looked at Harry when smile at him because he recognizes him as being that cop the first time he saw in the McCallister's house staking out various houses to rob. Yeah, Harry was right I didn't like way that Kevin kid looked that is like sending an imitation to the cops A kid recognizes you as being burglar robbing house and ids you getting you put away in jail/prison for thieving and burglary and robbing and stealing.
@Jason Anarchy, Agony, Destruction Tolbert Actually, Kevin didn't recognize Harry here as the cop in disguise, he recognized Harry's shiny gold tooth since when Harry smiled and said "Merry Christmas", Kevin's startled look was like he was saying "oh my gosh, it's him, I recognize that shiny gold tooth and how can he go from being a cop to a plumber" since Harry and Marv's van says "Plumbing" on it. If Kevin recognized Harry's face, he (Kevin) would have gotten startled when Harry told him to watch out for traffic. On the other hand, when Harry was disguised as a cop, he smiled at Kevin (when Kevin was getting punished) where Kevin saw his shiny gold tooth and that scared Kevin too somehow but, I don't know how seeing Harry's shiny gold tooth gave Kevin the feeling that Harry was a burglar when he (Harry) was disguised as a cop.
In real life they actually filmed the van driving in reverse and then reversed the video to make it look like it was driving towards him. So there was no risk.
It's funny, while Harry and Marv are bad guys, they have some good in them not to run over and kill Kevin when Marv said "hey watch out" and Harry stopped very fast. But yes I know, while they probably wanted to run over and kill Kevin, they knew if they did that, they would go to jail. At the same time on the second film, they weren't scared to kill Kevin because they were going to shoot him with a gun (which Harry probably stole from a sleeping cop when they broke out of jail) in Central Park and if they succeeded in killing Kevin, they would still get arrested since Kevin's blood probably would have splattered on them. But yes I remember Harry didn't care if he was going to be put on death row by murdering Kevin since I remember he said to Marv "I don't care if I get the chair I'm going to kill that kid."
afriendofbean they wanted to kill him in the second movie, out of revenge, because he’s the reason why they went to jail. In the first movie they just had the reflex to stop like many drivers would , because let’s be honest, why would they accept to roll over a kid that they have no business with?
@Dalia Flora Yes I know they wanted to kill Kevin because he got them arrested. However it was Marv’s fault too they got arrested because the police said to them, “nice move, always leaving the water running, now we know every house you robbed.” The only reason they stopped and didn’t run over Kevin was because, while they probably wanted to run him over, they knew if they did, they would go to jail. On the second movie, I’m sure Harry was wishing he ran him over because he was willing to sacrifice his life when he said “I don’t care if I get the chair I’m going to kill that kid.”
"Santy don't visit the funeral homes, little buddy" Lmao that Marv

For the safety of Kevin, this scene was actually played in reverse. You can tell by the way the smoke was coming towards the van instead of away! 🤗
That scream brings me joy.

Good thing as fast as the van may have been going, at least it wasn't going too fast to actually seriously injure or even kill Kevin.

Nice Dodge Kevin

Why were Harry and Marv arguing in the van unaware that Kevin was walking and standing in the way of the Murphy’s driveway?
