Incredible. Makes me wanna gather my droogs and get ready for a bit of the ol' ultraviolence.
Synthemesc or Drenchrom?
See you at the milkbar
I have a super smelly butt monkey's penis where my human brains are supposed to be......and, um......yeah it's a problem. A good problem to have.
@@edoardobonel4155 right right brother sir
I’ve taught you much my little droogies
This cover is real horrorshow, hits me right in me gulliver. One of the best advertisements for Moog synths I have seen lately, gorgeous playing!
Thanks 👊, as always I was just fiddling around a bit on the grandmother and discovered a patch that sounded like the opening "gong" type sound, so I went with it...
I'm currently working on this in my Moog Little Phatty. Amazing machines.
Came here after watching a few Wendy Carlos interviews and I was pleased to find you. Excellent work.
Thank you 👊
Likewise
Same. Wonderful rabbit hole
I was sceptical at first. By the end I knew I had to leave a comment and simply say… beautiful.
You really show what a masterpiece of music composition this is.
The first time I saw and heard Clockwork I almost passed-out. The sound is nearly too much to take. It's brilliant. What other sounds could match Kubrick's visuals?
I is Alex, and these are my three droogs! Georgie, Pete and Dim.
Three moogs
👍
Si Litvinoff's first choice for directing _A Clockwork Orange_ was Nicolas Roeg. But he declined as he was already busy preparing for _Walkabout._ So Kubrick was approached instead. Would be very interesting to see Roeg's _Clockwork_ :-)
Vidi well little brother, vidi well
And we sat in the Korova Milk Bar, trying to make up our razoodoks with what to do with the evening...
My dad gave me a cassette tape soundtrack of this when I was a kid so it was pretty surreal as an older teen when I was finally allowed to watch it and realized what exactly my favorite songs were set to. Lol 🤣 gave me a deep appreciation for moog and Carlos outside of just soundtracks though.
I heard a sample and had to buy the CD, then the film was banned. I had to wait more than 20 years before I got the chance to see it. by then i could hum along to the whole CD. I watched the first few minutes and decided if I watched any mor, it would spoil my memories and the music so Still haven't seen it and never will.
Excerpt from "Music for the Funeral of Queen Mary - March" - in case you didn't know the name of the piece.
Nice rendition :)
Thanks!
Great job
Henry Purcell, late 1600s. It's interesting how often Kubrick used Christian religious music for his films ("2001", "Shining" as well).
With an added bit of the dies irae sequence thrown in that does not appear in Purcell's score.
Wendy Carlos ❤️❤️❤️
Great ! I’m a big fan of Wendy Carlos and your version is really awesome. Congrats.
Thank you 👊
Dang, all these years I had thought those modulations had been caused by my VHS system
haha some good old tape phasing?
Amazing, thank you! This gave me the chills... You can even hear the Shining’s theme near the end...
Wendy ,the pioneer.
One of the best soundtracks ever.
They serve vellocet, drencrom, and minimoog which is what I was having.
I remember myself having literally a trip by listening to Carlos' "Timesteps".
The score for ACO is absolute perfection. Your recreation was amazing, O my brother.
There was me, that is Alex, and my three droogs, that is Pete, Georgie, and Dim...and we sat in the Korova Milkbar making up our rassoodocks what to do with the evening. What they sold there was milk plus something else...you could peet milk with knives in it...and this would sharpen you up and make you ready for a bit of dirty twenty-to-one, and this was what we were peeting this evening...
Incredible! Once of my fave soundtracks of all time.
I've got a Matriarch on the way but now I want to complete the set with a Grandmother

Thursday morning. Just right for my first cup of vellocet so I can kick the day in the Gulliver.
it sounds like the beginning notes of the shining are also from this at about 1:17 mark.
I'll have eggiwegs tomorrow! Spasibo, droog!
Fantastic, the closest I've heard, I gotta have a crack at this on the prologue, think I need all the luck I can get, trying to work out the SFX hits in the original piece as well, not sure how they did it
Hey ! It’s awesome . I search the preset for my grandmother , can you send me a mail for the preset for learn my synthetiser , please 👍🏼
I did this video a couple years back... I don't remember the settings. I actually felt very lucky, I just twisted and turned the knobs til I got a similar sound to the original. One thing I do remember is that the oscillators were not in sync and that I detuned them to get that gong type bass sound...
great shimmer
Listen to this for a bit of good old in-and-out
👏👏👏👏👏
Wow.
Ahh, excerpt from the shining at the end!😂
That's actually how it is played in ACO as well
Nice
this is so cool! bit of a stretch here but would you happen to have the patch for the grandmother. it sounds great.
