Ingredients:
100g pork + 1/4 tsp salt
30g spring onions
2 tbsp sesame seeds
200g all-purpose flour
104g sugar
100ml water
Dough 1
200g all-purpose flour
50g lard or shortening
30g sugar
100ml lukewarm water
Dough 2
150g all-purpose flour
75g lard or shortening
1 egg for brushing
Oven temperature
160℃
140℃ convection oven
Time : 30 minutes

Some enterprising kababayan dito sa states makes and sells hopia baboy but the filling is actually just caramelized onions . I feel cheated . Now I can make my own . Thanks to you .

I don’t have any shortening or lard. Can I use butter instead? If so, how much butter will I need?
