This video is amazing. I'm doing some diagnostic work on my 2000 jeep for braking issues. The brakes pedal is stiff but it a delay in the brakes catching for vehicle to stop.
Have a 2015 jeep Cherokee with low miles and the brake booster went out. Mechanic replaced it, went out again in 6 weeks. Replaced it again then said I needed to replace master cylinder…3 months later went out again and it’s currently at same shop for a week now. Jeep told him it’s a bad check valve but he thinks it’s due to recall W84 which is a transmission software flash…what is going on??
Great video i have a question if i unhook the brake lines at the ABS unit to replace them at the same time as the booster will the new lines graved feed/fill with brake fluid and then bleed the same way as you show in your video? Thank You
I'm replacing the booster.on my Jeep, and by bleeding the lines from the calipers we can flush the old brake fluid!! I know this is an old video, we should change the fluid at least once in our lifetime!!😂😂
The white gasket on the booster or another part connected to the firewall is to prevent outer noise and water from coming in and to keep good air compression inside the vehicle,
Roy, when you completely removed the master cylinder, why didn’t you dump out all the old brake fluid then and clean that master cylinder up so it look brand new also before re-installing it? Personally, I hate working twice as hard as needed and I certainly don’t like doing the same job twice, just saying…
you didn't have to remove the master c to remover booster...just remove the nuts from booster then pull back on master c..of course be careful not to break or crack brake lines...save time from bleeding brakes Etc...
Yep you heard it right, that is in fact a charcoal canister. It’s for your emission control system, it’s filters out the gasoline fumes. Thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
How all mechanic videos should be done, straight to the point
Glad you liked it and thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
Thanks. Just what I needed to guide me through fixing my Jeep. Watched you here in Las Vegas New Mexico, the original Vegas.
Glad I could help, thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽
I really appreciate you taking the time to share this.
I’m going to replace my booster this weekend.
I like the vice grip trick to hold the hood up
Great video! I needed to see how the master cylinder was removed so this helps a lot!
Glad I could help, thanks for watching 🤙🏽🤙🏽🤙🏽

Thanks for the video. Best one I found.
Why you was out there and trying to get the brake booster to line up how did you get that brace on inside the car to stay in place

How can you tell if you have air in the brake lines by looking at it

What is the white gasket for on the booster?

Where are you located at

I recommend the removal of the master cylinder ⁉️ Instead of the air filter housing. I highly recommend this procedure period 😃✅🌹🤗😍🥇
Nice nice indeed 😜🎥🙌
Amazing how to get the job done ✅🙃
Thanks for watching 🤙
