UFC gloves by Century. Version 1 (2007-2016) and Version 2 (2016-2024)
The NEW UFC GLOVES will debut at UFC 302
They are also made by Century / Dyaco
I will review them asap!
Thats crazy. I remember when century was a respected brand in the martial arts world. Now its cheap junk
UFC got Visic to help design the Century version 3 which will be released in about 2 months. It’s definitely an HOF grade but not as much as I was expecting.
I firmly believe when the new gloves start being used were going to see and hear fighters saying that theyre even worse
I agree. The UFC sent out a pair to each fighter last week. I’ve watched a few fighters talk about them. They are an upgrade but nothing crazy special. I think some fans think the eye pokes are going to stop completely, which definitely isn’t happening!
@@JPW328 absolutely, ESPN posted someone trying them out and I could already tell they didn't curve the fingers any more than the current ones. Cub Swanson also said they looked smaller and had a texture on them that wasn't as smooth as the current ones. I think these new ones are probably even cheaper to make

you've been proven right. islam makhachev and sean strickland both have found problems with the gloves, and during the chamionship fight w/ dustin the lettering on islam's gloves literally fell off and aren't even there anymore
@@blyndblitz I was going to buy a pair to review them but they are $220 for black, $250 for gold. That’s double the price of the old gloves! After seeing “UFC” wear off Islams glove I’ll wait for a clearance 😂
No mma gloves will ever stop eye pokes it’s just common sense
Correct people say this as if you want them to wear boxing gloves. Eye pokes are a part of the sport
Tell these moronic fighters to quit punching with a open fist, try that crap in a real fight and you’ll break your fingers then get knocked out

These are the 2007 vs 2016 models. The new UFC gloves will debut next weekend at UFC 302! I can’t wait to get my hands on some and review them!

Why do you dislike flat gloves if you practice grappling you will feel that the gloves which force you to Curve your fingers are not good for grappling @@JPW328

Yes and the new gloves to debut at UFC 302 are also made by Century.
UFC honestly made their (new) gloves from the same version of their in store brand gloves. Nothing new just cheaper quality and different color
I expect there to be a lot of backlash. I agree it looks like the UFC fan gloves they sell. The new glove “technology” is basically a carbon copy of the RDX f12r glove, just without a thumb.
@@JPW328 yes correct . Also to take it a bit deeper the very first version of the ufc gloves were curved and padded more than ones now. The company really took a step backwards and painted over a old low quality design and said it was new.
@@marquezrobinson574I totally disagree with your comment and I believe the total opposite I don't know if you train but I do and I train with the second version of UFC gloves the ones which are more flat and give more freedom to the hand people are criticising this glove but I find it perfect for grappling
@@Inventor1488 yes I do train and compete in Alabama and Mississippi. The gloves remain me of their store brand gloves. I have a couple of mma gloves that are from different brands and these in my opinion resemble a store shelf quality product or the taking of an idea from another product, as @JPW328 quoted. It’s not reinventing the wheel.
It’s like when I was boxing I didn’t understand quality of gloves until I bought a pair of gloves offline that were not everlast off of the store shelf the feel, durability and texture were so different.
@@Inventor1488 i disagree with the idea that it’s something new that they are doing. And that the gloves are the same product that is out there now. Also yes I train and actively compete in boxing, to jiujitsu tournaments and anything fighting. Last MMA match I won rear naked choke. Match before I lost my judges decision.
Say all that to say ive seen a good bit of mma gloves the idea they are doing something new and special is just not believable.
They want more finishes via eye poke, Isn’t it obvious?

Yeah the new ones look so ugly and they seem like they would make the fighters perform worse with all the padding on them
I haven’t personally felt the new ones yet. When they become available I’ll review them. But yeah the current UFC gloves are HARD. They are like bricks on your fists.
