Flying with a collective instead of a throttle in reverse axis is much easier once you have the mussle memory down for helo flight. Definitely recommend getting an actual collective if you have the money.
Hello HavocCompanyClan, I also bought the VIRPIL control devices (collective lever, Stick and pedals) Unfortunately, I have not managed to configure the devices in DCS so that I can fly the Huey. For example, I cannot assign the axis of the collective lever. Can you tell me how you configured the VIRPIL devices in DCS? Or do you have a configuration file that I can import into DCS? Thank you very much in advance. Regards, Herbert
it is not that hard to configure axis in DCS, select aircraft on top left, then next to it select axis , then select the device you want to configure (top column), then double click on it and move the axis you want to use, some axis might need to be inverted, you can do this by selecting the axis then click axis tune, when done remember to click OK
Great vids on all the VIRPIL stuff, I have the CM2 as well, what cam/spring setup do you like best for helicopters? I have the CM2/200mm curved extension/Constellation alpha. I was gonna put in AviaFree+Soft, but I was wondering if you tried the Cosmos?
@@HavocCompanyClan I installed the light spring and AviaFree. What a difference! I may try the cosmo, but honestly, I think it was the reduced spring pressure that made it so much better!
I’d love to see a video or pics of the setup with the Virpil constellation. I’d love to get the uh60 or Apache grip when it comes out????? But the constellation looks like it provides better capability than the sharks collective?

For helis without a doubt cosmosim no center CAMS are the best, I use the lightest spring on my CM2 base along with my CM2 and 200mm extension

What do you use for cyclic ?
I am using the Virpil CM2 base + CM2 grip
@@HavocCompanyClan do you use extension?
@@FGCH03 the 200mm one
@@HavocCompanyClan thanks, excellent vid.

yeah the Alpha-L is a better all rounder choice for a collective grip
