To be fair with Death Note is that most things that can be talked about, have already been talked about. That's why you don't see much videos on the series itself anymore. Light wanted L to know hes not going to fall for something that stupid, and L figured out that light knew he was watching him, which made L almost certain Light was Kira.

I always found the end to be kinda disappointing and anticlimactic, after everything Light did, outsmarting L and entire nations it all went down to Near guessing Light could absolutely not have any more spare parts of a Death Note. Imagine being Light as paranoid and smart as he was not having a piece of the death note besides him just in case. "But what if they searched him and they found a piece of the Death Note, that is good evidence to him being Kira". Well, not, he could simply have said that Near planted evidence on him. Even if they caught him everything he would have needed to do was to reject the death note and ask for a lie detector test. That is basically a get out of jail free card.

bruh in the movie, ryuk instead helped light when he was in a devastating situation but something was wrong with that scene...people can only see the shinigami if they have touched the death note but for some reason..the FBI agents were able to see what he was doing!

Light thought that L was being stupid and solved all the messages that he has sent to L , however L told him that he was wrong and that there is a 4th letter if Light assumed that there were 4 letters he would have passed but he didn`t because he already knew that the letters were 3 and not 4 .

No most people would come to the conclusion that there were only three notes since that's all they were given to exam, Ls goal was to see what Lights reaction would be after telling light that there was four notes, and Light passed this test.

@@redphantom5197 I agree but at this point L was almost certain light was kira to begin with, that "5%" chance bullshit L made up was a lie. Look at the episode where L put cameras in Light's house. L had a public announcement saying 1500 investigators were coming to Japan. Light then smiled and loudly said "the fbi sure is stupid there's no point in making this announcement, even the investigators who were secretly brought in were killed by kira, why would this be any different, if you ask me, this is just a plot to get kira to reveal himself, I wouldn't be surprised if Kira sees right through this." L watching on the camera laughed. The guy who shows no emotions laughed. So Mr. Yagami wouldn't find out why he laughed, and to prevent Yagami from suspeculating, he said it was because light is clever, but the real reason he laughed was because he figured out Light was Kira. He knew kira was somewhat smart and who had a ego to begin with, and he seen Light mock the fact that the FBI were coming into Japan, further more Light said that quote loudly on purpose so whoever was watching over cameras, (which he obviously knew they were there) could hear. Light wanted L to know hes not going to fall for something that stupid, and L figured out that light knew he was watching him, which made L almost certain Light was Kira.

I always found the end to be kinda disappointing and anticlimactic, after everything Light did, outsmarting L and entire nations it all went down to Near guessing Light could absolutely not have any more spare parts of a Death Note. Imagine being Light as paranoid and smart as he was not having a piece of the death note besides him just in case. "But what if they searched him and they found a piece of the Death Note, that is good evidence to him being Kira". Well, not, he could simply have said that Near planted evidence on him. Even if they caught him everything he would have needed to do was to reject the death note and ask for a lie detector test. That is basically a get out of jail free card.
Well to be fair Light only lost because Mikami fucked up.

@@19blvck No. The manga states in the end as Light has a flashback to the day that he met Ryuk was that there was no heaven or hell that in the end all humans go to Mu (Nothingness).

11:55 well not all of the traps. L lays one where he uses "Kira's" troll posts that doesn't make sense in either the Japanese or English iterations. Light tries to make sense of these combinations, which make no sense. If he never had made those himself, his deduction would likely see that MAYBE there was a letter MISSING that would make the phrase that makes no sense, make sense.
Light gives me Eren Yeager vibes sometimes. They both started as the protagonist and ended up as the antagonist in their own show. They both did everything to reach their goals. They both fought for freedom
They always stayed as protagonists tho, Protagonists are just the pov characters aka the main characters of the story and when Light Yagami died the story ended
