Why do people say that death note isn't intense? Have they seen the potato chip scene?
They think that intensity is only when there's a fight or someone's yelling or holding a gun or something along those lines. They most likely haven't watched Death Note and wouldn't be able to understand it's uniqe intensity. The intensity which can be held within a quiet mundane moment. A good example is the scene where Light is speaking to Naomi and has to get her to reveal her true name before she can reveal important information to the Kira Task Force.
so live action (japanese one) make very intense for those like intense. for me either it intense or not. its already great anime.

Pretty sure origami comes from another word, orikami.
gami and kami are the same word root in japanese. Shinigami is a combination of shini meaning death and KAMI meaning god. It's modified from a k to a g. Beyond that though, kami means god, but it also means hair, so that's interesting.

Jesus washed his disciples' feet at the last supper, knowing his death was coming and that one of them would betray him. L washes lights feet knowing he would most likely die, and suspecting heavily that light was Kira, the one who would kill him.
Near (as well as Mello to some extent) is the second coming of Jesus who finishes the job.

Actually the creator of death note said that L knew light is kira all along. He just needs a solid evidence to prove it.

It's Death Note but in 2020. Ryuk drops the Death Note but because of the coronavirus, Light doesn't touch it and the manga ends.
really what i wish would've happened, ryuk killed thousands of people and ruined a college student's life and treats it as a reality tv show. he really didn't deserve the entertainment to be honest.

Not necessarily. If someone already exhibits characteristics, like Light, having an object like the Deathnote wouldn't exactly help restrain these attributes. That's like blaming a gun for killing someone, it's the person.

Yes but Light already exhibited controlling traits. His lifestyle pretty muh proves how every aspect of his life is within his control. To be given the Deathnote only made it worst. The Deathnote isn't corruption, it's just a tool. Light made it a weapon.
That’s not really a one to one comparison.. owning a gun isn’t the same as having the power of the death note, they aren’t even near each other.. a more apt comparison would be perhaps a billionaire who runs a massive corporation or a politician perhaps... luckily power doesn’t change them! They probably never started out as young upstate who wanted to make a difference but then became jaded and corrupted by their position and power... and even they are far from the levels of power Kira had.. it can absolutely corrupt a good an strong person. Not to mention that the series kind of shows you what it would be like, how light would be if he didn’t pick up the notebook.
Maybe it's not inherently either. Light wasn't inherently evil and neither was the notebook but together evil arised anyway, cause evil doesn't inherently exist.

So if you have a friend who is into death note, get a death note, write some names down, go on the roof of your house or school with the death note, and as the friend walks out the door, drop the book in front of them. Then, get another friend, preferably tall, to stand by in a Shinigami costume. When the time is right, the friend in costume will silently walk up to them, and say something like "Uhh, can I have that back?" Then you could totally make that friends day. Or, ruin their life, either one. :)))))

im almost done with this anime and bruh the plot, the story, the character development is just AMAZING. hands down, best anime ever. the creator of this story and the writers are just absolute geniuses. i love how this anime is different than most others and they were not scared to go places other animes never dared to venture. i love how intense and suspenseful death note is. im just obsessed.

I almost got arrested for bringing my Death Note manga books to school in 8th grade, my best friend used her notebook as a pretend Death Note and after going through what I did got sent to the hospital for mental health issues. Apparently, they saw her as "a danger to others". IT'S A FICTIONAL WORLD. Besides, I would IMPLORE children to watch it when they're old enough to understand it. The commentary on morality and what's truly "good" or "bad" is something you rarely find nowadays, at least in America.

Something not talked about much - Light is innocent. The rules state 1: The human owner of a Death Note is possessed by its original Shinigami owner until he or she dies. 2: (from the anime) A Shinigami bringing a Death Note into the human world must make sure that a human uses it. Poor Light even refused using it in the beginning, calling it "twisted". Those were basically the last moments of his freedom.
