I know this is an older video but you could use GM Part number 11570163. It is an LT1 balancer bolt. Same size just longer.so less chance of stripping the crank threads. I use it to install my LS balancers. Get the balancer mostly on with the LT1 bolt then use the correct LS bolt to tighten it up. They are about 15 dollars. You can use it over and over again on all your LS engines.
I did this on my c30 LS swap the same way, and most all my swaps, no leaks, but I sure it can happen if you get it to hott and cook the seal, but the seal will do fine well over 400 degrees, engines get close to 300 daily, normally 220 though, I have a few more videos on installing them this way I do believe on the channel
Wow. Ruining the seal, then having to buy a new one, pull the balancer (again) install the seal after loosening the cover to align the seal by using the seal alignment tool, crack all the paint on the cover bolts, then having to use an install kit to install the balancer properly. Genius.
No it’s doesn’t ruining seal… if too over hottest yes will happen.. u must have to control with how much heat on damper then put in and doesn’t hurt seal..

Can you do this with any Balancer? I have been having an issue getting mine on. Do you remember how long you heated it up for?
you don't got to heat them up for long, should work on any balancer
@@TattsForLife Well, mine as a key thing sticking out of the crankshaft. Would that make a difference in it?
So did it leak or what cuz im about to do this in the next 10mins
