Hello sir, Axis AMC is going to launch Nifty Midcap 50 index fund. Will it worth investing? Because, Midcap 50 and 100 have very handsome return. And as there will be only 50 stocks in Midcap 50 index fund, managing of such index fund will preferably have a less tracking error. Awaiting for your views.. it means a lot.
we can use small cap fund in bear or big dip in market like it was in 2018 or 2020 for some lumsum amount.lumsum investment from 2018 got tripled in 2021☺️☺️☺️
Sir I kindly disagree with you on this I have Large Cap , Flexi Cap & Small CAP all started together....My Small cap returns are way better compare to Large or Flexi cap ....for Past 5 year
As per your data, more than 25% of small cap mfs beat the index and midcap in the long term (5 years) which is not bad.. I assume, Nippon small cap & sbi small cap are one of it (where most of the small cap mf money are)... Also note, not many top flexi cap funds have good exposure to smallcaps due to huge asset size.. so It is good to have small exposure in small cap funds. But the investor should be fully aware what they are getting into..
I am also an old investor in SBI small cap but burden of increasing AUM is visible on the fund and fund manager also acceptes in an interview . So in future i am keeping moderate expectations in terms of returns.
