Moments where Li Cheng Yin just watches Xiao Feng happily are quite tender and sweet. Too bad it doesn't amount to anything anyways because of what he did 🤷🏻♀️
True, but it's this heart-wrenching dichotomy that made it so unforgettable. Sometimes the "villains" make a show more enjoyable than the typical hero-types. For me, it's a lot like classic tale of Romeo and Juliet. Romeo with his immaturity and stupidity coupled with just bad fate/karma leading to a tragic ending but all the more memorable for it than if both got to ride off into the sunset with a happily-ever-after.

His CONSTANT degrading and berating her made this drama so irritating and unenjoyable! He has constant excuses for mistreating her... to keep her safe, to show her I care, blah, blah, blah! Generally hate his character and always have!

Haha I know. But it shows even though she is a bit immature in nature she is a caring person. There was an episode when she was dressed as a common person, it was implied that she saw a kid fall in the water and she jumped in trying to save him even though she didn't know how to swim. and she treats everybody the same regardless of their status. I loved her character. Stupid crown prince ruined her.
With all that tools, it looks like he was performing a surgery on the crab!

The costumes & set design for this drama is so mesmerizing.
Nothing wrong with being ignorant as long as you are willing to learn. What’s disappointing is one is ignorant but proud of such ignorance. The Princess may not know about crabs but she was willing to try and learn about it.
She made me cry every episode. Really love her, life treated her so cruel in this drama story.

Its forbidden love, but the Prince never gave up on her, took her back married her while she lost her memories. Its really sad.

🦀 are deep ocean water dwellers, they not found inland waters near deserts & such....not surprising that Xiaofeng had not seen a 🦀 before. Li Chengyin is 1 to talk about being barbaric he never even fished in the ocean for them.
He's helping her - or trying to, when he's saying that. It's clear that the other girl is attacking Xiaofeng indirectly, and Xiaofeng does not know what to say to defend herself. Li Chengyin therefore gives her a clear way to do so by giving a more direct 'insult' and also ends the other girl's conversation with Xiaofeng so Xiaofeng doesn't have to answer her anymore. He doesn't mean it though!
