【Introduction】DG ep47

One of the best dramas I've ever watched. The title suggested tragedy but I still loved it to the end. A drama that started from misunderstandings. The prince killed her family because of a misunderstanding and he kept on hurting her because of unjustifiable misunderstandings.. Loved the leads alot

Despite what happened, I shipped him once again but I knew that morally it was wrong. They just had the chemistry, they fell in love once again after forgetting each other. The girl was used by everybody but her maid, her maid is the only one who cared about her and respected her opinions. Her maid acted as a mute so she can be with her and protect her.

I just wish that Xiaofeng clarified that Gu Xiaowu is NOT Gu Jian. By implying that he is by not answering pretty much sentenced him to death because now Li Chengyin would want to kill him 😑
Gu Jian was the most wicked and selfish person in this drama. He lied to XF and bad mouthed LCY, destroying their relationship. His self inflicted death can only blame his own foolishness which also led XF's death at the end.

I can't understand those people who said gu jian was better. Gu jian is far more irritating than li chengyin to me. He was the one who brought gu xiaowu to xiaofeng. About his foster father's plots, he knew everything from the start but what did he do? Ffs he betrayed xiaofeng as well yet he act like he's her protector. I can't stand him fr
Because he did everything to make up for it and more. He genuinely regretted it and did everything in his power set things right. He did so the moment li chengyin killed xioufeng’s grandfather. Also gu jian didn’t know the entire plan but he was still in the wrong but he payed the price and more.
I absolutely hated the ML in this drama with a passion. He’s the ML but definitely not the hero. He’s a backstabbing venomous snake and his love is not only toxic but poisonous. I burn with anger every time there’s any love scenes between them. No matter how evil some heroes are, they’re still redeemable, this guy’s crimes however are not.
Despite being so sad and tragic, this is one of my favorite drama with excelent acting, chemistry, dznanics, production. But who ever puts on titles to thise videos is so hilarious🤪

For XiaoFeng, Gu Xiaowu was not Li Chengyin. Gu Xiaowu is that "someone" that loved her most and not the Li Chengyin that killed her entire family. That's why in the past Chengyin was XiaoFeng's Xiaowu, but in this current one, Gu Jian is XiaoFeng's Xiaowu.

lol she just misunderstood her memories because she can't completely recall her memory. Its just in the end, she finally recollects her memory and realized that the one she truly loved(real Gu Xiaowu) was the man she hated the most. Gu Jian was just temporary replacement for Gu Xiaowu.

This scene is the core of the drama! XF recovers her memory! She once said to LCY alias Gu Xiaowu, that she admired Gu Jian because he had integrity, kindness and loyalty. These words of admiration expressed by XF caused deep jealousy in LCY, and he intended to win her by any means. She was secretly in love with Gu Jian but unfortunately he was committed to fulfill his family's massacre revenge and was always forcefully reminded that that was his only purpose in life. LCY simply filled the void of love felt by XF. The poison arrows of sorrow to his heart Gu Jian felt when told that he was Gu Xiaowu!!! I can not fail to say what a good actor is Wei Qian Xiang, superb in his facial expressions and acting! Wish it was his real voice we could delight in.
One last thing, the intensity of the gaze of XF when telling LCY of her love for GXW! If only LCY could understand the depth of her pain in her eyes. Gu Jian always looked intensely to XF to try to convey his good intentions and love for her but she could not understand either. So goes the tragedy.
The princess fall in love with Gu Jian first but later she fall in love with Gu Xiaowu. Even after she jump into the river of forgetfulness when she meet LCY she fall in love again with him.

i think xiaofeng was irresponsible toward gu jian. she should have atleast said he wasnt gu xiawo if she did there is the slightest chance crown prince wouldnt kill him. she was selfish there

The mentally wrong throughout the episodes was the male lead. As he said to his other consort, all people around him was meant to be his exploitation. Really scarry to live under that circumstance.
But tbh, the actor showed his talent amazingly to depict the character. His real person character was even the opposite, a soft, tender, kind, caring and a crybaby man. His acting was incredible
Their story from the get go was a tragedy...From the moment he choosed his revenge even when he could let go and live with her in her homeland and be happy he choose to slaghther her family and people for his gain while the second time he treatead her horrible in the name of protecting her,killing her slowly expecting to be welcomed open arms at the end like nothing...His love was possesive and didn't truly knew how to love...
🤣 he's in the spectrum of anti social, he sees nothing wrong in his action. The line is blured, in his mind he did nothing wrong. He even left her with a smile in the early moment he left her to pick his army to murder her family. But he's also a dark empath, that's why she falls for him. He actually care for her and wants to protect and provide her, But never more than his ambition to rule. Empathetic, ambitious and smart he actually deserve the position of King. I'm not surprised the writer potray him as a successful king whom puhes his boundary states and still maintain it to be a rich Kingdom. But at what cause? Which part that gain wealth and which part gain pain. He is built to rule, not love. He thrives in dramas, that's why he life & ended with one.
even Xiaofeng were to blamed of the deaths of her own people but a few when she escaped from Xi State and while going to Danchi was chased by the Shoubo so some of their people died to protect her. if she didnt ran away nothing would have happen like that. and it was ok for other viewers

I think the writer is very good. This is exactly what might happen in ancient times. Other happy ending ancient dramas in political/ royal setting? Those are the unrealistic ones.
both XF and LCY families knows each other kingdoms. they are allies so they promised their children to marry each other to reenforced their kingdoms from the enemies. her grandpa is another kingdom or tribe but an archenemy of the Li empire long time ago even before LCY and XF existed.
viewers doesnt understand the story well that it started long before so many years with the Danchis and Li Empire because it was taken only from the perspective of XF when she existed. But her family are friends with the Li's he even approved and honored to have LCY as his future son-in-law
