Another thing that puts me off buying a car is when someone has just cleaned their car taken a photo and the floor around is all wet. Shows they most likely never cleaned the car ever only just for the photos.
The way I see it especially when I consider swaps against my own cars is; cars are worth less when they have faults as you have to consider the risks of costly repairs. Some also have a higher retail price than they will actually sell for as they are not desirable. Also gotta consider you’re giving a retail ready car worth the top end of its value for a trade car worth the lower end of its value. Therefore this makes more sense for the retailer as they’re getting a car they don’t have to do much for to retail it.
Calvin(and his brother) are EXACTLY the same on and off camera. Such genuine, nice people. Yes they’re in it to make money but… Duh? They won’t hide that.

Hi mate, I have a similar issue on my tuned golf. From what im gathering just from what it sounds like thats a Cold start misfire - 2 Things If the car has a timing chain it is more than likely an issue with the timing chain being stretched and causing the timing to be retarded under small amounts of load inturn causing the sparks and plugs to go bad faster. 1. If it is a chain ran engine I would look into doing a chain plugs and sparks all at once and if that fixes the issue then jobs a gooden. 2. If it is a chain engine and the chain is fine and the sparks and coils are fine i would look into upgrading to a slightly bigger spark and plug combo. If neither if these things fix the issue just tune out the cold start Because on my car it sounds like it wants to kill someone on start up but runs a dream once the cycle has finished Goodluck
I've had both a kia ceed GT and a mapped s3 8p... Both really good cars but I will tell you for fact s3s are money pits as well built as the s3 is and as capable the quattro is they just cost a bomb to maintain, the kia was a sick car everyone looked at it because it looks really good especially with a few mods, drove fantastic with the twin scroll turbo and it was absolutely faultlessly reliable I COULD NOT! break it. ragged the absolute nuts off mine I'd have another without question, owned both the kia and s3 for around 4 years, currently have an mk3 octavia vrs which is a fair bit faster than the s3 was more fun being fwd and a lot more practical.
So glad you didn’t go for the S3 - would’ve blown my mind if you’d have gone from a coupe merc to an older s3 after a few trades, would’ve made absolutely no sense at all. The TT would’ve been a gateway to more desirable cars so maybe one to look for in the future.

1:58 I never knew a MOT tester would check oil level- but now you've said it- it makes sense. Especially when they run the engine for emissions. Funny enough I saw a sign in Kwik-fit once, saying they wouldn't run an emissions test if you weren't up to date with timings chain/ belt replacement!
Just got my Mrs a 2014 5 door one of these. It's got a few decent mods and makes some serious power and my god it drives well. Use this as an opportunity to bring more views to an underrated car!

It is good of Calvin to do what he done I am not denying that. But to me it is defeating the aim of this series mate. If I was to go in and offer the same deal I am sure I would be told to jog on so to me its just not a real deal that someone could make. In my eyes u have only gotten to that kia due to Calvin otherwise the series for now would of been finished for a while. Also he's advertising this series, so it makes sense if someone following is up for a swap. I recon the lads with the audis were told by their partner/friends not to swap or is generally a time waster as anyone in the know will know an A5 of any sort is better than a Peugeot. A3 too in some extent.

I’ve said from the beginning what’s the plan when the swaps aren’t coming in fast.. lower value cars are easy to swap but higher not so much. He’s going to have to start selling and buying another with the money soon and that’ll work, don’t see why you wouldn’t just adapt to complete the series it’s stupid to stick to swapping when it isn’t going to work. No one swaps a 20/30/40k car. No one.

I had a KIA GT,sold it a couple of months ago,it was actually really fun to drive it put the power down well for a front wheel drive,I think what lets them down is the lack of sound for a GT maybe a slightly bigger engine and it might just have made as a hot hatch
I would say it was a fair swap as Calvin doesn’t know how long that will be sat there for waiting to be looked at by one of his team and he has gained a car off you ready to go and you get a car for content and hopefully gonna be worth more 😊

The 208 GTI is a better performer if you go by the reviews, but the Proceed GT is a really nice looking car and kia really do know how to make some nice styles and stylish interiors. Only badge snobs turn their head to brands like this. It's not in your face and will be that bit more reliable than the Peugeot and so should have some decent appeal for the next swap. I looked at one, but was out might price range and didn't want another turbo. Will be another interesting set of videos.
Beautiful car lad and the southern Korean cars are definitely slept on my family have always had Hyundais and there fantastic motors I actually got an I30 1.6 diesel there and it’s one of the best wee cars I’ve owned can’t wait to see more on the Kia lad

Hi Jesse. I have got a Pro Ceed GT myself as we speak and I also had one back in 2014. I think there mint for what they are. I have also got a DTUK performance tuning box which I mite be will to sell. I had on my first GT I had in 2014.

Same thing happend with my proceed gt 2 days after getting it fresh set of coil packs and spark plugs sorted it I stage 2 tuned it and put a Rod through block haha
