Hi Alexiz, you're not quite ready to apply yet. You usually apply in the final year of school after having completed igcses. You have to apply on a system called UCAS apply: www.ucas.com/students this webpage on the official cambridge website should give you more information on where to start the application process: www.undergraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/applying hope this helps
Cambridge don't give many academic scholarships. There are some bursaries for those from lower income families, and you can get choral or organ scholarships. Academic scholarships tend to be offered only once you start studies at Cambridge, but they do not offer much money (will still have to pay fees)
Thank you so much for this information! I would like to ask you another question. What are the Cambridge University requirements for postgraduate students?
Hi Melissa, i'm not too sure because this isn't my area of expertise. This webpage may be of help though: www.postgraduate.study.cam.ac.uk/application-process/entry-requirements
hi, thank you for replying. I am not sure I understand your question about international and local syllabi? I have finished secondary school went to college at Gambia Technical Training Institute (GTTI). Study certificate in commercial studies, diploma in Human Resources Development (HRD), and presently in my Advanced Diploma in HRD. What do I need to do with the requirements?
hello, I thought I’d just come forward and ask you about something. I'm swiss and our school system is quite different from most. There are several levels you can do secondary school in. When I gratuade I can automatically get into any swiss university of my choice. However I always wanted to study abroad. The tricky thing is that I'll have to repeat my last year of high school because of mental health issues. I'm doing great now but I'm afraid I’m not going to stand a chance even if I have top grades when I gratuade. Do you think there could still be the slightest possibility for me to get? Thanks for your help
Hi Lili thanks for reaching out. If you work hard and do well academically, then there is definitely a possibility for you to come to Cambridge for university. Cambridge assess people on their academic achievement and potential, not anything else
Hey. I am an overseas student from India aiming for Cambridge.I am so confused. I don't get it you said that we have to apply in the final year of our school and deadline is 15 October That means we have to submit the application before giving our class 12 exams. How will they select us and how will we give other tests then? I am so confused. Can you please clear this confusion? ( I want to pursue my career in literature)
Yes that's right, you apply for college before your final exams. Your teachers give you 'predicted grades', then Cambridge will review your application and may invite you for interview. If you are successful at the interview, they will give you an 'offer', which means you gain admission provided you meet the grade requirements in your 12th grade exams. I hope this makes sense?
Rohan, in our school here I took 5 alevels. Got 2 astars and A but I have a c and b also. Am I qualified to apply or not? I got A*’s in physics and chemistry. Got A in maths, B in further mathematics, and c in English General paper,
Hi, I’m not 100% sure but I think you are. They usually look at your best 3 or 4 a levels, and your grades in those should be sufficient. You could always email their admissions department if you want further clarification. Hope this helps!
hey!! im from Singapore and my biggest concern is predicted grades! I'd be taking my mid years and mock exams in some time and I'm not too sure if i can meet the predicted grades requirements and i did hear that they look at results from the previous year and i didn't really do well enough last year! My question would be that if i take a gap year before applying to Cambridge, would they still look at predicted grades or school exams or would they look at just the a level results?

one thing i'm unsure about is whether cambridge/oxford require you to submit academic grades prior to O level?

Thanks for your question - they would look at any achieved grades over your predicted grades
That's great - congratulations! As long as it's the top grade bracket they will still consider it like they would an A* for UK students
