As an American, the UK university application process seems so much more simple and straightforward than ours bahahah
Yeah the extracurriculars don't make sense
@Blarie I wanted to apply to Harvard but after deep research I realised that it's all just crap shoot and you have to a super genius to get in if you're not American and I gave up. UK seems a bit better
as a brazilian, it does sound a way more complicated! here you just need to make a test to get in, and people complain that's hard. [not saying the test is easy, isn't! but come on, UK is harder, by far].
@@marihell4296 nah if you're competing for the ivy leagues, you need high test scores, aps (which you have to take year long classes and exams for), at least two 600 word essays, extracurriculars, teacher recommendations, and a lot of money. then if you apply for financial aid that's a whole other rabbit whole. the us makes everything complicated by far.
I'm American, too. I agree with this
Omg I remember watching Tucker last year and he’s starting to get an English accent
Those of you who don’t hear it don’t freak out on me
Getting into Human Sciences at oxford is a flex, good job!!
This was definitely useful ! Thank you !!☺️
What did you do for loans? They seem craazy for international students
UK schools are actually significantly cheaper so that may be of help in itself
right!! its stressing me out a lot because oxford provides such little support for international fee status people and they’re like £30000 per year
@@asra2441 yesss it's honestly so discouraging🙁

asra That’s actually insane. You have to be rich
As a student from the United States currently attending a public high school, when applying through UCAS, would I be a student applying independently or a student applying through a school/college? I am confused as to whether that question only applies to students from Europe who attend European schools or if it's students from all around the world.
Omg this is so helpful
Did you use any prep centres? What were your grades?
Thank you.
Do I have to enter the grades I have had in the past years into the UCAS form? And if so from which year on? Thanks in advance!
Thanks for the information. But what advice would you give to someone who is 7 yrs out of school and looking to start a whole new course? Who can I get a recommendation letter from?
Which other universities in the UK did you consider?
This was very helpful. I am a 9th grader in Denmark and my dream is to go to a fancy college somewhere in England. I really don't know where to start. I can't wait to go, but it seems like I have to go to a gymnasium in Denmark and score almost top scores before I can even think about applying. By the time I'd be done, I'd be 19! At what age is it normal to start at Oxford or the other big English schools?
Hej! Jeg tager mig lige frihed til at svare dig på dansk ;) Jeg er i gang med min ansøgning til Oxford lige nu (jeg går i 2.g), og mit indtryk er at de i England ofte begynder på universitetet når de er omkring 18-19 år.
18 or 19 is normal in the UK. Good luck!
SAME IM DANISH TOO
Agreed! Sophomore now, honestly a dream to go here!
I am in a levels , can you tell me when to apply
I mean after As before 15 october using my pridicted result or after getting my a levels result in August and then apply to Oxford in September
As an Asian, is there any tuition fees? If there is, how do you pay for it? And how much?
I've already visited Christ Church College of Oxford and I want to study here when I'll be older, it's one of my biggest dream! I'm from France :)
Mine too🤲
Hellooo, where can I contact you? I really would like to talk to you guys!! I need lot of help with my personal statement, actually with all my application.
is there an alternative to the SAT and the ACT?
Can i apply for oxford with SAT general & subject tests? i mean without hight school scores.
Please answer me
I used to apply a scholarship in oxford medical school, yes I got accepted. but sadly it's only 50% of the fee. so I have to pay like £60.000 per year and I can't afford it.
I'm looking for a sponsorship rn to get my master degree.
wish me luck :')
I am studying in turkey , i am going to be a senior in highschool and i take the american test systems but my highschool has not ap or ib option so my question is Are my act and my 6 sat subject test okay to get able into oxford
from the official oxford site's international qualifications page:
"Turkey
2019 entry is the last year that Oxford University will accept the Anadolu Lisesi (Anatolian High School Diploma). Candidates will be required to have Grade Point Averages of 5.0. Any other school leaving certificates are not sufficient for candidates to make a competitive application.
From 2020 entry onwards, all school leaving certificates, including the Anadolu Lisesi, Devlet Lise Diplomasi (State High School Diploma) or Lise Bitirme Diplomasi (Private High School Diploma), will not be sufficient to make a competitive application."
i got 7 from ielts is it enough for computer science?
Hi! I'm currently a Canadian high school student and I was wondering if there is any financial support for international students applying from Canada? And what might the cost of studying at Oxford be for Canadians? Thank you!
At Oxford, is it the same as American and Canadian universities when it comes to going to law school? Do you take whatever courses you want during your undergraduate years and then take the LSAT/LNAT to get into law school or are there required pre-requisites needed?
UK law degrees are undergrad
Does it make sense to attend an American university for one year and then go to Oxford? I just recently learned about the opportunities at Oxford as a senior in high school, and am interested in applying for the next admission cycle
Maya Federle some people definitely do this!
They don't accept transfer students.
"They don't accept transfer students" Actually, they explicitly accept Americans after one year of the US college education. Your GPA should be above 3.7, and you will have to follow usual UCAS application and Oxbridge requirements to apply. So you can think of one year of Community College or any other college as satisfying a basic US students' requirement.
@@PracticalBibleStudies I just watched a transfer student video
What happend to you? Did you go?
Is it ok if I apply early September or October 🤕
how about scholarships for international students
where are all the valuable websites they stated would be in the description
What is the lower grade i can get in high school to get into oxford?
Hi! I am Chilean, I plan to go to study in the UK but I am looking for a way not to do the foundation year, I have courses in chemistry and advanced biology, my average is 6.9 out of 7.0 but the medical career is long and I have not planned wasting a year on such basic things, is there any way to convince the universities to accept me? Or maybe give the sat, I don't know, I can do the processing of notes and change them to a different scale.
Study in a IB program
What was the website with the personal statements?
Salma Moutasim go to Studential.com. You should find an icon that leads to personal statements. If you want statements from a specific college you’ll have to add that to your search. Hope this helps :)
Did you get in?
what are the Qualifications for Dphil. As an international student
Hi - Yasmin here. Qualification requirements will vary from course to course. You can find more information here: www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/graduate/courses/courses-a-z-listing?wssl=1 and each course will show the appropriate foreign equivalents.
What happens to AP
Does oxford accept a- level resit students? I retook my AS.
Sally yes as long as you submit your resit results not your originals
Are the tests online?
How do you socialize with other students? ;-; (I don’t study in a international school ;-;)
you talk to them and dont sit in your room.
You say n word before meeting them. This helps a lot to socialize
Hey, thanks for the video! But I've got some more questions.
I am from Germany and want to apply this year. But when do I have to take the language test and how do I link it to my UCAS?
And I'm really worried about financing my life at Oxford and about the visa, because of the Brexit. There are a lot of scholarships for international students, but it is hard to find possibilities for students from the EU. Could you help me, please?
Yeah I have the exact same questions. Im from belgium and Im really scared.
Me too, I certainly now that I would not be able to pay tuition fees, after the new brexit regulations.
Hey! Please help me out. I’m from Bangladesh, I’m HSC( Higher secondary School certificate) candidate. Can I get into Oxford with Only IELTS/ or do I need any other Qualifications? Or ielts only?!!
You just need to go to the website and see how you can apply. Your school or college can help you with it. I'm from India
Do they need your final high school year results...oooorrr
is a course the same thing as a major?
Hello, I'm from Philippines and I want to study at oxford but I dont have the financial capability. What should I do? Get a loan or scholarship?
Yoooo so happy to find a fellow Filipino.I'm also interested in studying in another country in college but i don't think it's possible for me cuz of lack of financial capability :'C
This was 6 months ago, and same😭
It's easy. Pay international school fees which are 5x more than domestic fees! Universities are for profit organisations, so obviously they're more interested in international students because they make higher profit margins from you! You'd think you'd be smart enough to know that, given you're at Oxford!!
Hi, I would like to ask like to enter to Oxford. Is it okay or is it matter if my academic results is very good but my extra co-curricullum is very bad ?
UK unis couldn't care less about your extra curricular. You don't even really mention non-academic activities in your personal statement. Academics is what counts.
Should I pass admission test if I have score of SAT, SAT 2 tests?
You have a good chance then!
Hello. I am from Samarkand, Uzbekistan. Now I am 16. I am a student of lyceum. My assignments are excellent. If I continue this result, can I enter Oxford University, English language and Literature? I have got extra certificates from chess, acrobatics and English language olympiads. What should I do? I am planning to be a student at university in 2023, so What should I do? What should I write on my personal statement, essay and interview? I am looking forward to your answer
I really happy to hear that
they won't care about any of those extra certificates except the English language Olympiad, they care more about how well you know your subject and if your interested in it, so you should sound enthusiastic in your personal statement, I'd say do a little more subject related activities outside school curriculum. Everything else seems great so your all set.
What’s the deadline 2021 please help I can’t find it🥺
I am looking for that on Oxford University page and I can't find anything. Please someone tell us.
Is teacher recommendation is a must. And I had already graduated bachelor degree from faculty of archaeology, is this seem relevant enough to applying for language and literature or it's still requires other study qualification more relate. Thank you so much anywayfor sharing all these.
Yes it's a must!
I'm A Saudi student , not IB or AP , can i just take SAT and ielts ?

I think IELTS would be better
Excuse me....What are the exams or requirements that I need to fulfil to get into the University....(Plz tell the required score too)
Hi! That entirely depends on the course you're applying for and the specific conditions that would be stated in your conditional offer. Here's some info from the website: www.ox.ac.uk/admissions/undergraduate/courses/admission-requirements
Did you take IB? Did you take AP? And do you suggest taking AP or IB? Please respond!!!!!!!!!!
I suggest taking AP! - but I suggest doing it the year before you apply if possible!
How long should the personal statement have to be?
I got the answer by the way. It was in UCAS form around 4000 characters and 47 lines (maximum)
@@devdave4049 yes. Did you applied?
@@devikagopakumar8906 Sorry for the late reply... But I will be applying this year 2021 for the session of 2022 I am currently preparing for finals of class 11

@@devikagopakumar8906 And i guess that u are aspirant for this year or are already in the uni.
I looked up the SAT qualification and my score is 50 points lower than the listed score. Will Oxford's admissions actually look at my application?
Veronica Hess They look at your application thoroughly. In fact, they ask about it in the interviewing process.
Yes- unfortunately you'll have to retake the SAT or the ACT in order to achieve a score that meets Oxford's minimum requirements
Hi! You didn't mention any requirements for IELTS or TOEFL so I'm really curious if it's required or not?
U don't really need to pass the TOEFL, the teachers will check your English in those interviews
You need one.
