Spock can be kind of clumsy. In the episode where they are playing silent running with the Romulan ship (where Mark Lenard stars) he is so clumsy getting up he sets off a noisy circuit. Odd for a Vulcan.
What Kirk fails to realize is that Spock yelled "JIM!" and THEN shoved him out of the way when Kirk didn't move. I love this episode because Spock takes such a beating and it's absolutely amazing XDD
I just love how Spock explains his "clumsiness" of not moving out of the way. Face the facts, Spock, you care about Captain Kirk and you would risk your very life for the man! Can't you ignore logic for just this once and listen to your human half?
When McCoy says 'if your blood were red instead of green you wouldn't have an upset stomach' Spock just kind of looks away like 'McCoy you moronic old quack'
It's tough for McCoy to correctly heal Spock. His hybrid biology neither reacts completely like a Vulcan's or a Human's, sooo it must make his job even harder than it is
Jim just trying to use logic instead of emotional arguments to hide the fact he doesn't like Spock to sacrifice himself for him. Hell, maybe his macho-side just can't stand being looked after all the time :p :D
I feel bad for Spock in this episode. He gets poisoned by a plant, shocked by a force field, struck by lightning, and mocked by the locals because of his name. Beam me up please.
I love the way Kirk has a go at Spock for taking the thorns for him, because he had just scared him to death in the fact that he damn near lost his soulmate!

You sound just like McCoy
When McCoy says 'if your blood were red instead of green you wouldn't have an upset stomach' Spock just kind of looks away like 'McCoy you moronic old quack'
This always bothered me but then I realized that with Vulcan biology completely under wraps, he's essentially shooting in the dark all the time
McCoy seems to enjoy practising trial and error on his Vulcan colleague.

People can be close friends without being gay. Not every relationship is sexual. People can be deeper than their libido.
