    Great video Jason, love the effort put into this. Best hop up installments of the Hyper sste on UA-cam. Yours looks fantastic.
    I want to upgrade everything to, running HW max8 and absolutely rips. The 2 downsides I find are the thin alloy arm braces in the front and only ok steering. Heavier shock fluid helps. Small niggles on a brilliant looking fun truggy to drive for the price.
    I have done diffs to centre 100k, rear 50k and front 20k, working well so far. And after market front and back bumpers. Alloy braces

    First thing I did when I got that Truggy, I changed all the Difffluids to oil. Bought mine 1 year ago. Front and rear diffs are also only filled with grease, so you should put oil in there too. With oil in them, the diffs will almost last forever.

    Great info on the chassis! That is gonna offer increased durability at the same weight 🤩 I gotta say, the orange springs are going to have to be replaced now, I couldn't stop seeing them clash with the pink/purple/black 😂

    I also upgraded to the 7075 chassis plate. It`s great, but to really be save and not bent the rear chassis brace anymore a custom strut is needed. Goes from the rear diff/spoiler attachment point to the center diffplate. Now you upgraded that center diff plate to aluminium, so the mounting point for the strut is no longer there. The stock difplate has that mounting point.

    • @restinpiecesrc5528
      @restinpiecesrc5528 2 роки тому

      I noticed that too, ive been wondering about those mounts designed into it also

    • @PaddyPatrone
      @PaddyPatrone 2 роки тому

      @@restinpiecesrc5528 If I remember correctly the Strut has to be 150mm from eye to eye. Makes a huge difference.

      @@PaddyPatrone yeah i might have one or 2 but havent tried it yet, i know zd racing 1/8 shocks are basically a clone of the hobao shocks but appear to be just a hint smaller, im using zd racing springs on mine currently but they are tight on the adjusters, but a little stiffer and longer springs so it drives a little better, im running 6s with a 4082 2000kv leopard hobby motor so its got a little extra weight and the rear

    6:35 looks like your rear chassis brace is bent!?!?

    • @JasonPerrinRCVlogs
      @JasonPerrinRCVlogs  2 роки тому

      No, not at all. A few weeks back I was working on my Kraton 6s exb and realized I had bent the chassis a little when I went to screw the chassis brace back in. It didn’t line up anymore. The screws dropped right in on the Hobao. You can also see later in the video that there is no stress marks on the brace at all.

    • @PaddyPatrone
      @PaddyPatrone 2 роки тому +1

      @@JasonPerrinRCVlogs Still it should be one smooth curve, but there is a small dent in that curve. I also run this aluminium chassis brace and I bent it too. Look at your footage 6:36. Thats clearly bent.

    • @JasonPerrinRCVlogs
      @JasonPerrinRCVlogs  2 роки тому

      You know. The more I look at old pix of the brace, the more I think maybe I did bend it a bit. It’s weird because it lined up perfect. I know it has an odd bend in it from stock. 🤔

    • @mbrad7674
      @mbrad7674 2 роки тому +1

      Yeah it’s definitely got a little bend to it. They shoulda made these braces a solid piece of metal instead of going for looks. I’ve bent a few of them they aren’t cheap either.

    • @hashimrahman51
      @hashimrahman51 9 місяців тому

      Honestly it is far cheaper to get the Vorza S truggy. It comes will 7075 parts everywhere including the arm carriers out of the box. Otherwise, you could go with a full blown race truggy from Mugen, Sworkz, Kyosho etc, but they will cost over $1000 with electronics. Vorza S is the best deal IMO. One thing I do like about the HOBAO is that the body covers the front and rear shock towers and helps protect them when you flip it, especially on pavement.

    HI , i was wondering if you could help. We have an SSTe and have bought bigger truggy wheels. However the car now wont turn the wheels when accelrating. THe Servo is a new 36kg servo and the servo saver is as tight as it can be. Any ideas what the issue may be please?

    • @PaddyPatrone
      @PaddyPatrone 2 роки тому

      Your frond CVD'S are probably worn out.
      To test this, lay the Truggy upside down on the ground, turn the steering wheel fully to one side and go full throttle. If your wheels straighten out your cvds are worn out and you have to replace them. Big wheels will kill the cvds on this truggy. It's not made for that.

      Thank you. To be fair the tyres are about the same size as the ones on this video
