Why didn't the warehouse crew stack the leaning pallet off to another pallet? The hyster driver caused the pallet to spill. It's hard to get good help.

This load was nothing but straight road. They didn’t wrapped right.

Those corona/Heineken pallets are the worse. The way the beer packages are made to, once the bottom boxes get damage it’s a wrap lol. I did beer for 8 years. This gave me memories 😂

Well, maybe to help a little. So, I started with Landstar and my first orientation was on February 26 in Mesa. I just bought a truck, I have driven it 100 miles (to and from the shop to have it fixed twice). I left for Mesa on the 24th (900 miles to Mesa), made it 3 miles out of town, and the truck broke down. So, I missed orientation. Rescheduled for the next week, March 3rd. On the bobtail to Mesa, I got a check engine light, and the transmission (automatic) was shifting oddly. However, I made it to Mesa orientation, and finished orientation on Tuesday afternoon. I immediately took the truck to the Peterbilt shop to have it looked at since I only had 2 weeks left on my manufacturers warranty and wanted to make sure the tranny was fixed. Well, that was 7 days ago today. I have been sitting at a motel for 6, soon to be 7 days. I haven't even got an empty trailer yet. Life can be a trip.

Yes it can. Thats why we decided to take a break and regroup boss. Sometimes we think it’s a bad thing but in reality could be preventing us from getting in a deeper trouble. I try to think this way so it make it look better 😂

FYI; Calif the same 40' rule.
Heads up if you come out to Calif, stay on the right 2 lanes. Alot of out of state drivers aren't used that rule. CHP will write a ticket for that violation
    Careful out there

You prefer to sit over the weekend over hauling bad freight? At my company, I earn $1.16 per loaded long miles and $1.36 for short miles.

@@mrusatransportation Next month will be the end of my lease term which was 3 years. My goal was to own the truck, but I was not able to pay the $30000 balloon payment at the end of the lease. I had leased a used truck with the goal to own it, but the lease only went over 92 weeks whic h was not enough to pay off the truck.
The Swift Transportation lease purchase program seems like a never never plan. They assigned me a new truck to lease, because my truck is too old to trade (400000 mileage). This time, they assigned me a brand new truck and this is a standard lease. It is another 4 year lease. The balloon pay in 4 years will be about $80000.
I was not allowed to pay off my current truck faster. I have to wait until the end of lease term in order to pay off the balloon pay.
It seems to be a cycle that never ends.
Whenever, an owner decides to walk away. Yes, it is a walk away lease contract, but the driver must take the truck to the terminal they got the truck from, not the home terminal of the driver. This is at the driver's expense. My home terminal is in El Paso, but I have to take my current truck to Phoenix to trade it in. They will perform a trade inspection. If they find anything wrong I have to pay for the repairs.
Since April this year they have a load board. The load board is nice, but they invented rules that I don't agree with. Instead of making it easier for drivers, they make it more difficult.
Swift doesn't pay fuel surcharge for emply miles, only loaded miles. However, they pay $.85 per empty mile.
However, if I book a load through the load board and the pick up is too far, I don't get empty miles paid, it becomes unpaid work.
This situation forces me to look for other opportunities, because despite the bad experience, I still learned to survive by reducing my expenses as much as possible. My hometime was mostly every six or eight weeks. I skipped the 34h reset in order to run constantly.
Can you make a video about buying a truck and lease it on Landstar? Can you terminate your lease contract with Pride, it anything goes wrong with Landstar? Are you allowed to pay off your truck faster? Do you have to pay any interest right now?
