  • The chief fire officer (CFO) and assistant chief fire officer (ACFO) of Shropshire Fire and Rescue Service both sent messages suggesting they wanted to kill or harm female colleagues.
In the WhatsApp messages - which have been leaked to ITV News - the senior officers also use the words "lazy cow", "bint" and "useless" to refer to women in the service.
Several of the messages target Area Manager Jan Morris, who resigned from the service this year after reading what had been said about her.

What is it with women claiming 'misogyny' for men taking a disliking to individual women based on their behaviour? Surely a woman can dislike one man and not be a misandrist so why not the other way?
PS Paul Slimeball Brand and ITV spend a lot of money and time on these investigations, do you really think they're going to return empty handed? Don't take the findings too seriously

@@jamietherooster Taking a dislike to an individual is normal. Taking issue with someone's performance on the job is also normal. What isn't normal is the immature, unprofessional, unnecessary name calling, insults and threats made by these two senior officers. There is absolutely no need whatsoever for the turn of phrase used in these messages. These two senior male fire officers have acted inappropriately with gross unprofessional conduct at best and with incredible prejudice at worst.

Men like this are taught by their fathers and peers that this is acceptable. That only men should do "men's work," that men lead and women are only good for certain roles. They get ever more defensive and scared as the world moves on without them and so they cling to what little they have. And of course it's everyone's fault but theirs.

@@user-wi1xw5sd1c Hmmm. So what about the person that creates the music, regardless of whether you deem it good? You would continue to buy their music, helping to continue to make them rich, even though they lacked integrity and a moral compass, and were possibly abusing children and women? Yet that is OK, because you enjoy listening to their music? Subliminal messages and a form of hypnotism, brainwashing, is more the reason you would enjoy the music of someone so corrupt. They would certainly have the financial backing and powerful contacts, to do such an endeavour, if 'scratching backs' to make big money, out of someone else's pursuits, is the carrot.

My daughter has worked for the fire service in Shropshire, dedicated, hard working and genuinely wanting to do her very best, above and beyond, only to be blasted by and targeted for, whatever reason, we cannot see why. Maybe the saying "stones get thrown at the ripest fruit" is true. There are some very evil and misogynistic little men out there, even in the fire service, sadly, feel very threatened by strong and honourable women

So she has evidence plus it’s on this program. It’s unfair dismissal, mobbing, harassment. The fire service need to answer. They must put those two on leave whilst they investigate or better yet get a independent investigator and that way it’s no conflict of interest or potential underhand answers saying “oh everything’s completely fine and there’s no wrong doing”.

The ugly words regarding my hair, 'need to wear makeup', bra size, natural beauty needs lipstick too, why do we have to take orders from 'that', must be a lesbian, etc etc. Even though my performance evaluations remarked favorably regarding my work ethic and being a team player, constant negative and degrading discussion about me not being worthy of my raise in pay, and ethnicity were the daily topics.
