Cultural yes, but christian community ? No. There is not even a single bible verse that talks about female circumcision. I have never seen or heard of a Christian girl being circumcised. Why should have circumcised a girl? We have lots of issues to settle in this country but our Imams ignore them and be talking about unnecessary things.

Gambian men please take your responsibilities towards your daughters and save them from these sufferings. Gambian mothers and fathers have a duty and responsibility to put their daughters health and wellbeing first before old traditions that are very harmful for our girls. A child can have a sin for disrespecting their parents but the biggest sin is a parent who imposes traditions that harmful to their children do please parent your child and prioritise your daughters wellbeing.
