I ended up getting a new Rockshox Nude RL3 from a German seller on EBay. It was new stock dated 2024/05. It took me ages to track one down and it was a fair price. Westbrook are fine but can be expensive though helpful. They seem to have a monopoly on these frame parts. You are lucky with having the white Pro model because they do not advertise the swingarm for that model anymore but the later Team is the same colour and markings. Imagine getting one full of graphics and not being able to get a matching swingarm. Acros are good for headset parts.
Indeed, monopoly seems to be a good word to describe the offering. I got in touch with them about RC Pro - it was suppose to be back in stock late October, but I took a risk ordering Team version (which thankfully, turned out to be same color tone!)
Hey Tom! Looking forward for the next video. Just received replacement swingarm for my Scott Spark (ordered from Westbrook as well). Would be great to see how the bearings are installed while I wait for my swingarm to be painted. Keep up the great work! Cheers.
@@jurijsgrzibovskis9045 hey Jurijs, thanks! I was lucky to get white one, and that white is actually same color - lucky, ha! There is a separate video on the bearings replacement in case you need it sooner! 🫶🏼
Hi, i have the same issues as long as I had Cannondale bike, some parts was hard to get here in Poland, i can of course get it from EU but it was not cheap at all. My rule of thumb if u are not a full time racer for known bike brands, get a bike which is more genuine in terms of spare parts - avoid custom solutions for most expensive bike parts like shocks, frames, wheels. U will not have a greater chance that u can repair your bike by any bike service and in good price - it is like the same with staying with 26" wheels. I know u like your bike, but if u like to have less pain change to something different and u will sleep better, especially that switching frame should be fairly easy most of the time and most of other parts could be applied to whatever u change to.
Well, unfortunately some absolutely ridiculous custom solutions really makes it hard to find spares, but that more often is applicable in road bikes. On the contrary, I would say it is inevitable to have some issues with spare parts, if you want to ride latest bike models. It is just the part of how industry is made up to be - consumption based:)
@tom10crafted of cours if u ride long enough brand new bike u will have eventually some issue with spare parts, i have my cannondale and I was very happy till i had to service some parts after season. We tend to buy this particular bike because we love how it looks but less we thought about how actually we will spend money on service - it depends really how many custom solutions is included. Of course it hard to predict is this custom new super exited solution will survive years but my idea is take more from car industry - simplier solutions are are cheaper and easier to maintain. I want to ride a bike more then service it, so yeah check your brand new bike before buying if u care about money.
@@Mariowerleman that surprises me even more - that they continue to have previous generations and does not get terminally out of stock ! Best wishes to Aruba! 🔥
Hi Tom, interesting video and cool content overall. I liked a lot your Catalunya Bike Race video series, I was there too, I hope to see you next year in the starting line again :)
Hey Miguel, thanks a lot! Which one did you liked- the vlog part, race analysis or the onboards? Maybe other races would be interesting too! Aaand, with that said - what races are you are planning next year?? Cheers!
@@TheAntoine191 I could have lived with it, and apparently fixed by carbon guys, but now I will have spare swingarm after it’s fixed and..well, the only downfall was paying for it, haha! But in regards to causes - I will cover few potential ones, but majority are on my end, IMO

You bearing issue was special but once I had a damage seatstay and carbon repair shop repaired it, it was endorsed by scott.
