Yes Sir, I use these types of drills in my own training and teaching as well, but i love to look at things from other martial artists and coaches perspectives to gain new insight, ideas, and just good old fashion inspiration! LOL. Again, thank you Sir for the quality vids!
Hey, you are more than welcome, glad you enjoyed them! I agree completely, it is always great to see other people's perspectives and drills, exactly why I do what I do with this channel!!
Thanks so much, I'm gonna incorporate these drills with my teammate who has a kickboxing fight in the next 6 weeks! He likes using his boxing a lot, so these drills are perfect for him!
Awesome to hear, I hope he wins!! If he doesn't make sure you pretend you were using drills from someone else's video ha ha!! Great to hear you are enjoying the content though, always appreciate it when people take the time to comment!!
I love the Dutch style but I’ve realized watching people and the pros etc out of every style the Dutch style leaves themselves more open than any other style just like the Chute boxeo style
Nice video. We like to use a lot of feints and liver punches. It's about getting a reaction before you flow into combination with your hands. Lot of ring craft to it. Great video.
Love it. Trained with Owen Comrie when I was 16 so a lot of this he taught me...been out of it for a while, but big up bro, keep it up, it's encouraging me
First of all have to say thank you very much for putting does combos tougher they are really awesome ! I've Been practicing Muay Thai -kickboxing for 2 years & when I'm thinking about to quit I see this kinda videos they inspire me to continuing training & now I Hopefully I'll be fighting in March ! Question. Can I practice this combos on the heavy bag?
Hey, thank you for taking the time to watch and comment, it genuinely means a lot! I am really glad to hear you draw inspiration and motivation from them!! You can of course practise these combinations on a bag, they just made a little tweaking to ensure they flow (because unless the bag is fixed in some way, it will swing when contact is made from each shot). There are a couple of other great Muay Thai videos on this channel that deal specifically with bag work, you might want to check them out!
Thinking VS Doing. Face to face with your opponent, under pressure, you're in the pocket. Do you think your way to the best combos and look for openings or do you rely on your instincts. I find myself going into autopilot but I question if I should be thinking before doing, surely there is going to be a delayed reaction.
Ha ha, I am so bad with that, I say it all the time, I really need to stop. It is too much hanging around with Thai's and other Muay Thai instructors, it rubs off :-(

Please don't drop your hands while kicking... even when it is technique training. This is elemental and you'll be surprised just how few people do this.
Yeah in the dutch style you tend to keep the arms up or dab with your arm paralel to the leg you kick with (right arm with a right kick) extending into the oppenent's face. The reason you do this is because in dutch kickboxing you tend to block bodykicks with your arms and thus your opponent would be in a beneficial position to counter if you drop your hands.
They bought Japanese Kickboxing to the world lol, you do realise most striking styles look similar to Muay Thai including Kyokushin, because there's only a few ways of our body can move, don't be so closed minded. Martial weren't made in vacuum, there's several martial art that are practically kickboxing, but have a different twists to them, from Savate, Sanda, Yaw yan, Seidokaikan Karate, and etc.
MMABeijing I feel the same. It’s very mechanical. I like Dutch KB’s focus on powerful strikes and the low kicks are fantastic, but stylistically I gravitate more to Muay Thai’s overall system.
This is great we need more high level of dutch kickboxing like this on UA-cam. Keep up the good work mate !!!!
absolutely
Absolutely some of the best instructionals ive seen anywhere! Keep 'em coming please Sir!!
You flatter me ha ha, really glad to hear you continue to think so highly of them!! I use this kind of training a lot in my own coaching/training!!
Yes Sir, I use these types of drills in my own training and teaching as well, but i love to look at things from other martial artists and coaches perspectives to gain new insight, ideas, and just good old fashion inspiration! LOL. Again, thank you Sir for the quality vids!

Great stuff. Great combinations! I adopted some of these combos for the Kyokushin ruleset and they worked suprisingly well.

Isn't knees forbidden in kickboxing? Why do you practice it?
No that's only American kickboxing.

This drills are Thai , let's keep it real , the Dutch were one of the first to bring it to Europe
Joel Thomas actually know they clearly state that “Dutch kickboxing” is taking out bits and pieces from all stand up games and putting it as one
They bought Japanese Kickboxing to the world lol, you do realise most striking styles look similar to Muay Thai including Kyokushin, because there's only a few ways of our body can move, don't be so closed minded. Don't misunderstand me ,i love this style ,but let's not forget where it's from ,let's not erase History like for other matters
@joelthomas9 , Dutch Kickboxing comes from Kyokushin Karate, not Muay Thai.
Your knee is going mad high😂

i know dutch kboxers are amazing, but their combos feel too rehearsed for my liking, culturally i can not accept them
MMABeijing I feel the same. It’s very mechanical. I like Dutch KB’s focus on powerful strikes and the low kicks are fantastic, but stylistically I gravitate more to Muay Thai’s overall system.
This aint the way, sorry guys, looks nice do
Terrible left hook, he is hitting his oponent a straight right counter opportunity.b
Dude you got some skinny legs
Never liked the idea of « blocking » a body kick with your arms...
Awesome!
