I am amazed at how Ducati manage to continuously and miraculously pull ever more power out of an already absolutely savage 998cc engine, all while cutting more weight and even meeting Euro5 compliance. Complimenti Ducati, sei fantastica!!
The question is: How reliable and endurable is it?
Well in euro 5 street form it's only put out 207 hp, roughly the same as other superbikes nowadays. Probably with a lot of flat spot mapping to comply as well. But that 240 hp uncorked figure is pretty impressive that mass produced bikes with widely available fuel making same figure as early motogp bikes.

So which one is better? This v4r or v4 sp2?
I think the r is a bit better. With the race configuration the r makes 240 while the sp makes 235 (not exactly sure but it's less than 240) and the r is a bit lighter because it has a smaller engine. 998cc compared to 1103cc
Depends on what you want at the end of the day. Literally no normal every day person who's a motorcycle enthusiast will ever need a Ducati super bike of any kind. Buy both if you can afford it. They're both simply machines to flex how much money you have.
@@PRSer these are not flexing machines yet many treat them like that. The v4r is just a street legal street bike. It's almost exactly the same as the sbk ducati bike. If you think like that then any flagship motorcycle from any manufacturer is a flexing machine
@@NuSuntRaresh yes every top superbike from every manufacturer is a flexing machine. I said no normal motorcycle enthusiast actually needs the top of the line sport bike model from any manufacturer. They're almost all racing machines that can truly only come alive on the track. Do I want a R1M or a Fireblade? Yes of course but do I really NEED them? Nope. I can do just fine with an R7 or Ninja 400. I'm just a normal guy who loves motorcycles. And YES. If I had the money. I'd buy a V4R.

my panidale v4s blew up last june after 12k kilometers of stretuse . not only ducati thought they should not pay for it , they even dont send the parts because 'they out of stock ' my bike is still in 10000 pieces waiting for parts after the 45th time ducati promised to send them . think what you buy people , they all good and they are your friend untill it breaks down .
