    1. Situational Awareness (5 see, 4 listen, 3 touch, 2 smell , 1 taste)
    2. Build counter belief against debilitating belief, using supporting evidences
    3. Worry Postponement, i.e. acknowledging worry to refocus on productivity

Stress and anxiety are one of those things that can't really be cured, but managed. This is a great book for stress and anxiety management.

I wish I was able to internalize this, like I had a person with me at all times to remind me to follow the techniques when I am feeling anxiety

@@karlbman7912 as i am a mindfulness teacher I can only agree with @karl Bman. Focus on your breath and feel your body sensations. You should try Meditation, Vipassana f. e.

Our brains easily become overly stressed trying to figure out problems, usually imaginary and self created. This book goes great with the mindfulness workbook called 30 Days to Reduce Stress by Harper Daniels. Both together are powerful.

That’s impressive how the Bible teaches these things since a long long time ago. You can find these three methods only in one passage (Matthew 6:25-34). God is amazing

Can I just remove my brain? I overthink so much & anxiety is horrendous. It destroys me. Annoy me to death and probably every one else. I hate being me. Thank you so incredibly much for sharing the book. I need to read everything to combat overthinking, yet if feels impossible to stop

so whenever i'm overthinking I do this :
look at the nearest object which I can find I snap my fingers and start thinking about it eg: Headphones let's say, I'll think "what is the engineering behind them? , what is the material used for making those ?" doing a couple of questions helps me forget what I was originally overthinking about. And moreover it makes me curious and helps me learn. Win-Win situation

That is actually a very useful technique
There is a known technique very similar to yours that refocus your attention to the present it goes like this :
Look at any object say a phone and start describing it as best as you can , the colors, dimensions, screen and textures... etc.
This way you can retain your focus in the moment

Good stuff! If you struggle with overthinking, author Jon Acuff has a great book on the topic too: Soundtracks. Some overlap, but very different in some ways. I found it very practical. These tips here are good too.

This was much needed. I feel methods 1 & 3 are helpful. Method 2 however, requires some thinking so its seems counter-productive.

This was probably the worst book you've reviewed. The advice is cookie cutter and ineffective. Tried the first one, absolutely no effect. It sounds correct but in reality it's just make believe based on limited research. The other 2 are useless too.
This book is an example of how to make money from self help by rehashing make believe stuff with no real insight or strong scientific backing
