Congratulations on Hitting 200 K… It’s been a great journey. Keep up the hard work.
Thanks John!
Love you guy's & your vids! I'm an Old Welder, & learned some things along the way that you may well find valuable. Different metals will always rot each other, even Stainless & Aluminium, especially in a salt water/air environment. Will cause things to break as they get weakened by process, even though you can't necessarily see that they are that worn or rotty. Hardish Plastic Bushings, Washers & such are your best bet to prevent direct contact between dissimilar metals or at least minimize it.
Awesome. Thanks for that!
My family and I had a chance to meet Nick at an expo/seminar he was at in Charleston. He is just as nice of a guy in person as he is in all his videos. Hope he makes it to a million subs. He puts the work in.
Thank you! Good meeting you and thanks for coming to the expo. We are happy to hit 200k subs and maybe one day we will make it to 1 million

I love the Freeman … Actually when I toured the plant I just couldn’t believe just how big they are out of the water. Massive
U need to keep that guy around really. He seems like a hard worker and would do anything you ask to support ur youtube channel
He’s a good person for sure. Always helps out when needed and fun to fish with

Congrats on 200K 👏🏻👏🏻
Thank you!!
As for the hoses rubbing on the hill. Cut afresh foot long hose run a blade down the side. Open and wrap the hose and secure with tie wraps. Go around and look for rubbing lines and cables.
👍🏻
Cant wait to see the Water Damage with new motors on it! Hope you can vlog the repower, love your videos.
Thanks! We will definitely get some of the repower recorded
Love the show...marshall islands
Thanks!
You should go to Maine for skiing when they have several Nort Eastern snow ❄️ storms! A North Easter has to have a minimum of 30 inches of snow in 24 hours or less!
That's yachting!
Lived on Emerald Island NC for a time, & my guitar strings seemed to need replacing about once a week - just from the salt air & the difference between the strings & the frets. Course I didn't, just deal with the half dead sound - too expensive & pain de ass to change.
You have such a beautiful/great boat, & I have half a clue how much it cost - & understand you want to save money wherever you can. But, as hoping to be a good friend, I must offer 1 more caution. The radius on any cut to the boat, wheather to the fiberglass or steel are very important - & engineered into the design so things do not crack out or break. You understand everything vibrates on a boat, & most if not all parts get a pretty good beating over time. The smooth circle of the radius is critical to make sure trouble does not start. Any break will create a stress point, & eventually a crack.
Fingers crossed everything holds together. With the hulls, caps, and liners being vacuum infused they are strong. That is a custom hard top from down here from the tower builder, but I assume the tower would need replacing before the outrigger bases go bad again on the hard top
Great video as always love your channel
Thanks so much!
Go to Dixie Aluminum Daniel will hook you up!
Come on dude new riggers new hardware!
I'm not a pro or anything. I had a aluminum boat, bay boat, it was a riveted hull. I found out from an old metal worker and was told to stop aluminum corrosion when fitting together aluminum to aluminum or aluminum to steel use stainless steel hardware(nuts, bolts, and screws. This prevents corrosion in fresh and salt water. Hope this helps help you. Love your channel have watched everyone of your videos and Sara's videos.
Thanks! I know dissimilar metals can be an issue. That’s all stainless hardware , some is just a little worn from the weather
Nice boats you have in your fleet.
Very interesting video. Not sure whether I like that hairstyle, though--I'll have to mullet over. 🙂
😁
Yea Boy
this cool
You didn't seal the core after you drilled the new hole😳. You're gonna leave those super long . Cleaned up nice
What do you expect for under a mil..
BOAT = Break Out Another Thousand 😎
For sure
B O A T. (Bust Out Another Thousand)
Cut the longer bolts with the saw like you mentioned and polish cut edge with a fine file the run a die set to clean it up. Good to go
100% 🙌🏻
Time for a haircut dude!!
Soon!
Hopefully you have bushings thru the mounting bolt holes so that when you tighten the bolts they don’t compress the fiberglass and gives stability. I just put some tacos on my gamefish and that’s what the directions said to do.
Bushings would definitely be nice but they weren’t in hard top before and after 7 years it’s still in good shape around the outrigger bases. I assume the tower will need to be replaced before the hardtop rots/fails
@@StanzFam good deal nick. I’ve been watching you since you were a much younger man fishing with poveromo. Keep up the great videos!
Great job Nick any old 31 Bertram sport fish in your backyard for sale at a good prices
Are those curls in that mullet ???
My daughter would get ran over by some crazy driver running it on the road like that in my area you guys got it hood in that nice rich area
I’m still not over all the holes I had to drill and cut into my boat to install a 96 inch Rhodan
The hard top is tapered
Congratulations on 200k...FYI. you might want to blurry out your fl numbers...people can be pretty sketchy and find out where you live. Just be safe buddy
BURRRRRR 3 YEARS OF 25 BELOW IN BUFFALO CURED ME OF THE SNOW. LOL
i was thinking, why not fill the holes with your caulk? if alittle is good, more is better.😆
Are those carbon riggers interwoven with copper or another material for lightning protection?
I'd rather have a meet-n-greet than the 500, but that's just me
Keep grinding bud great job hope I win the $500 I want one of your spinning rods!!!😅
Good luck!l
@@StanzFam thanks for the reply brother love your content you truly are a great captain
Stan, don’t build your own house. Boats are a pain in the a**, but I wouldn’t want it any other way. Great show!
🙌🏻
Hey Stan what's up with Jamaica Mike
We have a new episode coming out soon with Mike making a cameo
Boat, bust out another thousand.
You got that right
So what are outriggers? What are they used for? Sorry for the dumb question.
They are used for trolling. Help spread the lines out so they are not all straight behind the boat
@@StanzFam thank you I'm digging everything you put out there man. Keep grinding.
You can use bolt cutters to nip off those long bolts. Edit: never mind 😂😂😂
🙂👊🏻
With the threads up! Those will never come out! Salt with melt the bolt to the nut!!
Cut the bolts off after you tighten the nuts
100% 🙌🏻
Yes, this video was different but I didn't mind...
Thanks Aaron 👍🏻
Did y’all use stainless screws and nuts??
Of course. Washers and locknuts just a little worn from being on the boat
How many hours you have on that Freeman 37 now?
Over 10,000 on the hull . Those motors have 4400
@@StanzFam Wow! Zero issues on the hull I bet...
The foam needs to be removed and then filled with thicken epoxy, to stop water and to make the layers incompressible, next issue will be cracking of the fibreglass, should have been done when boat was built.
7 years on the boat now. I assume tower will need major rebuild before foam in hard top is shot.
🖤🍻🍺
Nice jump Olympics in your future who was this guy new meat
Dawson 🙌🏻
You have 2 freeman’s?
Just one technically. My friend bought that 37 from me in 2019 but I still help book it and manage it
Nick, your so mechanically inclined on your hardwear choices ,,,he,he,, next time get 316 marine stainless steel bolts, nuts and washers to match the outriggers' base''they are shiny and brite' like the base...i though he was going to whip out a chain saw to open up the hole for the gas cap....ha,ha
Those are stainless bolts
@@StanzFam but not shiny 316 marine stainless to match base,,,they look just a little worn from prior use,,did you get them from salvage yard...he,he come on man,,it's a freeman
Those nuts and bolts did not look like stainless steel
They’re all stainless. Washers and lock nuts just a little worn from prior use
😘😘😍😍😘😘😘😍
Lightning will hit your new riggers. I been hit 3 times. Twice on hobie cat 16 and once on a fishing boat.
😬
@@StanzFam The bases on your new outrig holder look really nice and a great imprivement over your old ones. Nothing worse to be in rough sea standing on the gunnel trying to get your riggers up or down. i have not been tova oyster roast in a blue moon. I went to the German heritage oyster roast last night and ate 2 dozen, boy they were real tasty.
@@StanzFam Oh I have never scene you using out riggers on your videos
😘😘😍😘😘😘😘😍😍😘😘
two grown men and you cant figure out that you bought 4 long bolts and 4 shorter bolts and you put long bolts towards the front on the first one that you did and the second one you put longer bolts towards the inside the deck is the same thickness all around
They were all the same length bolts, pulled them all out to double check. Hard top is very uneven
did the hairdresser die?
🙃
@@StanzFam hahaha
I had to stop watching
🤔
Wow can’t watch anymore terrible install
🚬
Man you a lucky to live in florida eat all the fish
Man where’s Jamaican mike tell him I said what sup
Screw guns?? Up here in Canada we call those drills eh???? Lol wow 👌
I wonder 🤔 i there any diesel electric hybrid boats there kinda like train locomotives because that will be cool imagine you got a diesel generator powering a set of electric engines nothing compares with the power and torque of a electric engine not mention it more quite and fuel consumption will be a joke !
Why not stainless steel nuts and bolts
They are stainless. Been on there for 7 years already. Had to get new longer bolts, washer and lock nuts still same
