It also explains why Geto is the only Special Grade with no domain. And why we don't see a single Domain in Volume 0. Gege just hadn't thought of the idea yet.
The thing about Toji and Geto is the bad match up. I believe Geto himself is stronger than Toji especially with the maximum Uzumaki and the overwhelming amount of cursed spirits, but one thing people don't really mention is how Geto can remember EVERY SINGLE cursed spirit and can use them in clever ways. This is most seen with Kenjaku (especially against choso in episode 22), not being able to be seen with Geto in JJK 0, due to him splitting his cursed spirits and underestimating Yuta. On the other hand, Toji has the perfect counters to Geto's fighting style and cursed technique (split soul katana and inverted spear of heaven) and his overall stats (especially speed). In my opinion, this fight can go both ways depending on the argument, which is why JJK power scaling is so good due to not being straight forward like most shows.

Agreed whole heartedly Adult Geto imo is easily more powerful than Toji or Maki however they're a great match up against him or against any shikigami like user. There's also the fact Geto and Gojo got physically far more powerful as adults probably because of how overwhelming physically greater Toji was.

Also Geto not having a domain or RCT fits well. Post Hidden Inventory, Gojo progressed in his abilities and mindset where Geto stagnated in abilities and deteriorated in mindset. He gave up as a sorcerer and now he isn't able to reach the bounds of progress that Kenjaku has clearly shown with his OWN technique. Mindset is everything, and it's more evident in Geto when you view it from this lense.

I didn't ignore it. I called Geto extremely strong multiple times throughout the video. so strong in fact I said he is in that upper echelon of sorcerers that are known as complete monsters. I think you might have left out one way that Mahito can be damanged: positive energy. (not sure if you've covered this in another vid) Like you alluded to, once you disrupt Mahito's ability to use his cursed technique, you should be able to damange him more conventionally...and considering the effect positive energy had on, say, Yorozu's technique, plus the fact that he's a curse made purely of cursed energy, positive energy output should be able to damage Mahito as well.
I think Geto is actually physically comparable to Toji. Lets not forget that Geto was fighting, blocking and parrying an enraged Yuta and fully manifested Rika. Even if Toji still has a slight edge in physical stats its not anything that some wit and cursed techniques from his curses couldn’t compensate for. Its not like Geto would just blindly send out curses head on for Toji to cut. While Geto and and Toji are melee’ing then Geto could summon curses or even use their techniques in battle. Versatility for the win here. I think Geto takes it, his bag of tricks is deep. Edit: The only reason that Kusakabe was able to block Maximum Uzumaki is because of Domain Amplification as we saw in recent chapters. Toji does not have DA to dampen that MU blow. If Yuta had to make such a severe binding vow with Rika to match MUs power then I don’t think Toji is tanking it..

I realized this a couple weeks ago online about this, and realized there are plenty of instances of ct's being used inside domains, and that's because the hit is spawned in thus bypassing ct's like infinity, which is why we still see red, birdstrike, reggie's receipts, etc being used in domains.
Nah, Toji is definitely below Geto. Adult Geto is stronger than Toji. Toji is legit the most overrated JJK character ever. The things Toji is capable of, all special grade sorcerers are also capable of plus they have cursed energy and cursed techniques. Toji's tools aren't enough to exorcise all of Geto's curses and Geto is fast enough to keep up by far against Toji. Without his tools, he gets mid diffed by Geto. Toji didn't beat Dagon in his domain because he could. He beat Dagon because dagon's domain lost its sure hit effect. He was able to reach Dagon and kill him when Dagon flew because Naobito (who's faster than Toji by the way) appeared above Dagon and brought him back down. If Toji didn't have these advantages, Dagon would be flying in the air and destroying Toji with sure hits. The shikigami are capable of chewing off his limbs (he won't just tank it like people think).
I am of the opinion that we downplay yuki alot. yuki very much could of black holed guruda rather than herself to absorb kenjaku domain expansion if she didnt listen to tegens plan and if she hadn't hava to use rct after tanking the domain expansion her hits would of rocked kenjaku and jt would of been ggs.
She would kill herself still if Garuda used the black hole. And kenjaku got rocked when as he said he was testing Yuki out because he didn't know what her CT is. Even if she didn't follow tengen plan the fight plays out the same. She lands 2 hits and then he lands 2 mini uzumaki on her killing her.
The in-verse explanation for Geto not using his DE could be that he can't separate people from his sure hit. This would make sense, as Dagon is shown to be the only one in the WHOLE series to be able to do this. It's shown that Geto can't absorb dead curses, as when he and Gojo rescue Utahime and Mei Mei, he tells his curse not to eat them so he can absorb them later (Ig you could argue it's cuz they would be eaten but I think it's more likely for it to be dead). So if Geto used domain he might've killed Rika. Combined with the fact that he's really confident Maximum Uzumaki will win, it makes sense for him not to use domain. Great video Mere

after yuta heals maki, panda, and inumaki he asks why geto didn't continue swinging. geto mentions that healing requires advanced rct and would need a distraction to give himself time

While I do generally agree with the rankings of the tier list, some of the logic you use seems more optioned and misconstrued, which to be fair can be something that has to be used when dealing with Gege’s wordplay in explaining jujutsu, rather than using exactly what we have from the manga 1 to 1. - Firstly, Domains, even with the sure hit active, do not negate or turn off cursed techniques of an opponent when they’re inside of it. Now this may seem contradictory to what Kenjaku said about domains in the Mechamaru fight but to much conflicting evidence says otherwise throughout the entire series. Here’s a list of these contradictions: Mei Mei being able to use Black Crow Manipulation inside of the Small Pox Curse’ Domain Reggie was still able to use Contract Reproduction inside Megumi’s Domain in their fight Sukuna could still use the 10 Shadows inside Yorozu’s Domain when he swapped places with Mahoraga Gojo was able to use Blue and Red inside Sukuna’s Domain after their first barrier clash Sukuna was able to use the 10 Shadows again inside of Gojo’s Domain even after taking the sure hit of Unlimited Void to summon Mahoraga again inside the Domain A simple answer I believe Gege had chosen to recon Kenjaku’s statement is that Domain’s BYPASS the opponent’s cursed technique rather then negating it. By that, I mean the sure hit of the Domain is able to bypass whatever cursed technique an opponent is using in order for the sure hit to still affect them within the domain. The best example being with Gojo and again, the Domain’s sure hit is able to bypass the limitless to make contact with Gojo but it doesn’t actually turn of his cursed technique. By this, someone like Mahito would still need to an opponent that can see the soul to deal lasting damage but the situation would be like Mechamru’s in Mahito needing to constantly use his technique to fix himself from the sure hit. - Secondly, Geto having RCT or a Domain Expansion is neither confirmed nor can it really be used in a power scaling discussion when nothing significant points to that conclusion: To me, I also believe of, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but only to an certain extent, however, that does not include characters in discussion that either dead or permanently removed from the current story with nothing more to add. Geto’s Special Grade ranking being a reason as to Geto definitely having a Domain, even if he were in the current story is something I believe can’t be used to justify in the addition on his repertoire. We’ve seen before with Kashimo or Yorozu that a very strong character does not need every available skill in order to gain thier standing. Kashimo has not shown any capability of using a Domain Expansion, as shown be considering his Cursed Technique is a one time use, and he’s shown relativity to Hakari in Jackpot. Not to mention Yorozu, someone that was noted to be, in no ways lacking behind the strongest of the Hein Era in either Cursed energy amount or output, has not shown any capabilities in being able to use RCT. Case in point, not very Special Grade NEEDS every skill available in order to meet the criteria of Special Grade, in fact we already know this from Kenjaku’s statements of the matter when fighting Choso in that Cursed Spirit Manipulation is what allows Geto the ability to ‘single-handedly over throw a county by themselves’. Also as I was looking back through Volume 0, the only instance of Geto implying he has RCT was when Inumaki used Cursed Speech to ‘Crush’ Geto’s head and while I can’t or won’t say otherwise to Geto being able to use RCT, I believe that saw simply Inumaki not being able to use Cursed Speech effectively as he could on Geto due to the massive difference in cursed energy quality and reinforcement and what happened with Geto was just simply visual as for the fact that Geto had his entire head, including brain, ‘crushed’ underneath Inumaki’s cursed speech. Geto should have died from the impact alone as we know destroying the brain is the easiest way to kill a sorcerer. Likely the same result as to what inumaki was trying to do against Hanami in Good Will, however this is something I won’t fight to hard too hard against. These two are really the only parts of your logic that I disagreed with but other than that, I’d say everything else is fine in terms of power scaling or discussion. Keep up the good work. 👍
Can't even call the disaster curses villains, just effects of a cause. By the same frame work, humanity would be the villain due to the negstive impacts on the planet, loss of animal species, degradation of biomes etc
I feel like you didn't touch enough on Mahito being able to use IT on himself, I mean, he can literally transform himself into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. We see this best when he fully evolves and he Senator Armstrong's Yuji, only losing cus he gets bait and switched by Todo. We also saw really early against Nanami where he turns his legs into horse legs and blitzes Nanami, so it's reasonable to say that he can improve his stats massively with IT, and this was all while Mahito was around 6 months old.
If geto had a domain yuta would get clapped as he didn’t have a domain back then since yuta potential was mostly carried by rika early on and what I mean by that is rika was his power system at that time and rika probably dosent have a domain
My one argument against Geto not having a Domain Expansion is a character on a similar level, Kashimo, has no DE and uses the lighting to attack like he’s in one at all times, Getos domain would most likely be similar to Dagons, Geto would have the sure hit but none of his special grade cursed spirits can use DE inside, let’s just say it does make Geto a lil stronger with DE but afterwards he’s exhausted, he’d seem more powerful and efficient using his maximum uzimaki, I’d say a maximum uzimaki has the chance to kill toji but a DE doesn’t, Geto remembers the Monkey

Geto would get dog walked we know maki is still Toji level. Kenjaku mentions maki as someone he’s actively avoiding before fighting takaba. Toji/maki can tussle with 15 finger sukuna in speed and physical strength. 15 finger sukuna being above kenjaku narratively (Kenny is scared of gojo, but Sukuna isn’t. Gojo even says he’s got some stuff he wants to do before fighting Sukuna. Then when he does fight him he says he did special training) Geto unlike gojo (who even with 6 eyes couldn’t track him) has absolutely no way to track this man. Even if he has a domain it’s not going to work, Toji can just say no and then sneak up and kill him like maki did naoya. Inverted spear stops ain’t curse geto has, soul split is a one shot.

Also when asked if he could beat gojo by his client worker Toji never actually says no he says good question. We even learn that he’s rusty. So both gojo and Toji weren’t full power. And as we learned from maki Toji was mentally nerfed because he started having pride. He starting feeling nervous and lost his way and at that point he says he already lost.

Nah, Toji is definitely below Geto. Adult Geto is stronger than Toji. Toji is legit the most overrated JJK character ever.
The things Toji is capable of, all special grade sorcerers are also capable of plus they have cursed energy and cursed techniques. Toji's tools aren't enough to exorcise all of Geto's curses and Geto is fast enough to keep up by far against Toji.
Without his tools, he gets mid diffed by Geto.
Toji didn't beat Dagon in his domain because he could. He beat Dagon because dagon's domain lost its sure hit effect. He was able to reach Dagon and kill him when Dagon flew because Naobito (who's faster than Toji by the way) appeared above Dagon and brought him back down.
If Toji didn't have these advantages, Dagon would be flying in the air and destroying Toji with sure hits. The shikigami are capable of chewing off his limbs (he won't just tank it like people think).
I am of the opinion that we downplay yuki alot. yuki very much could of black holed guruda rather than herself to absorb kenjaku domain expansion if she didnt listen to tegens plan and if she hadn't hava to use rct after tanking the domain expansion her hits would of rocked kenjaku and jt would of been ggs.
She would kill herself still if Garuda used the black hole. And kenjaku got rocked when as he said he was testing Yuki out because he didn't know what her CT is. Even if she didn't follow tengen plan the fight plays out the same. She lands 2 hits and then he lands 2 mini uzumaki on her killing her.

The in-verse explanation for Geto not using his DE could be that he can't separate people from his sure hit. This would make sense, as Dagon is shown to be the only one in the WHOLE series to be able to do this. It's shown that Geto can't absorb dead curses, as when he and Gojo rescue Utahime and Mei Mei, he tells his curse not to eat them so he can absorb them later (Ig you could argue it's cuz they would be eaten but I think it's more likely for it to be dead). So if Geto used domain he might've killed Rika. Combined with the fact that he's really confident Maximum Uzumaki will win, it makes sense for him not to use domain. Great video Mere

While I do generally agree with the rankings of the tier list, some of the logic you use seems more optioned and misconstrued, which to be fair can be something that has to be used when dealing with Gege’s wordplay in explaining jujutsu, rather than using exactly what we have from the manga 1 to 1.
- Firstly, Domains, even with the sure hit active, do not negate or turn off cursed techniques of an opponent when they’re inside of it. Now this may seem contradictory to what Kenjaku said about domains in the Mechamaru fight but to much conflicting evidence says otherwise throughout the entire series. Here’s a list of these contradictions:
Mei Mei being able to use Black Crow Manipulation inside of the Small Pox Curse’ Domain
Reggie was still able to use Contract Reproduction inside Megumi’s Domain in their fight
Sukuna could still use the 10 Shadows inside Yorozu’s Domain when he swapped places with Mahoraga
Gojo was able to use Blue and Red inside Sukuna’s Domain after their first barrier clash
Sukuna was able to use the 10 Shadows again inside of Gojo’s Domain even after taking the sure hit of Unlimited Void to summon Mahoraga again inside the Domain
A simple answer I believe Gege had chosen to recon Kenjaku’s statement is that Domain’s BYPASS the opponent’s cursed technique rather then negating it. By that, I mean the sure hit of the Domain is able to bypass whatever cursed technique an opponent is using in order for the sure hit to still affect them within the domain. The best example being with Gojo and again, the Domain’s sure hit is able to bypass the limitless to make contact with Gojo but it doesn’t actually turn of his cursed technique. By this, someone like Mahito would still need to an opponent that can see the soul to deal lasting damage but the situation would be like Mechamru’s in Mahito needing to constantly use his technique to fix himself from the sure hit.
- Secondly, Geto having RCT or a Domain Expansion is neither confirmed nor can it really be used in a power scaling discussion when nothing significant points to that conclusion:
To me, I also believe of, absence of evidence is not evidence of absence, but only to an certain extent, however, that does not include characters in discussion that either dead or permanently removed from the current story with nothing more to add. Geto’s Special Grade ranking being a reason as to Geto definitely having a Domain, even if he were in the current story is something I believe can’t be used to justify in the addition on his repertoire. We’ve seen before with Kashimo or Yorozu that a very strong character does not need every available skill in order to gain thier standing. Kashimo has not shown any capability of using a Domain Expansion, as shown be considering his Cursed Technique is a one time use, and he’s shown relativity to Hakari in Jackpot. Not to mention Yorozu, someone that was noted to be, in no ways lacking behind the strongest of the Hein Era in either Cursed energy amount or output, has not shown any capabilities in being able to use RCT. Case in point, not very Special Grade NEEDS every skill available in order to meet the criteria of Special Grade, in fact we already know this from Kenjaku’s statements of the matter when fighting Choso in that Cursed Spirit Manipulation is what allows Geto the ability to ‘single-handedly over throw a county by themselves’.
Also as I was looking back through Volume 0, the only instance of Geto implying he has RCT was when Inumaki used Cursed Speech to ‘Crush’ Geto’s head and while I can’t or won’t say otherwise to Geto being able to use RCT, I believe that saw simply Inumaki not being able to use Cursed Speech effectively as he could on Geto due to the massive difference in cursed energy quality and reinforcement and what happened with Geto was just simply visual as for the fact that Geto had his entire head, including brain, ‘crushed’ underneath Inumaki’s cursed speech. Geto should have died from the impact alone as we know destroying the brain is the easiest way to kill a sorcerer. Likely the same result as to what inumaki was trying to do against Hanami in Good Will, however this is something I won’t fight to hard too hard against.
These two are really the only parts of your logic that I disagreed with but other than that, I’d say everything else is fine in terms of power scaling or discussion. Keep up the good work. 👍

I feel like you didn't touch enough on Mahito being able to use IT on himself, I mean, he can literally transform himself into ANYTHING and EVERYTHING. We see this best when he fully evolves and he Senator Armstrong's Yuji, only losing cus he gets bait and switched by Todo. We also saw really early against Nanami where he turns his legs into horse legs and blitzes Nanami, so it's reasonable to say that he can improve his stats massively with IT, and this was all while Mahito was around 6 months old.

My one argument against Geto not having a Domain Expansion is a character on a similar level, Kashimo, has no DE and uses the lighting to attack like he’s in one at all times, Getos domain would most likely be similar to Dagons, Geto would have the sure hit but none of his special grade cursed spirits can use DE inside, let’s just say it does make Geto a lil stronger with DE but afterwards he’s exhausted, he’d seem more powerful and efficient using his maximum uzimaki, I’d say a maximum uzimaki has the chance to kill toji but a DE doesn’t, Geto remembers the Monkey

Also when asked if he could beat gojo by his client worker Toji never actually says no he says good question. We even learn that he’s rusty. So both gojo and Toji weren’t full power. And as we learned from maki Toji was mentally nerfed because he started having pride. He starting feeling nervous and lost his way and at that point he says he already lost.
