Preserving passion fruit to use throughout the year

Ever wonder what to do with all that extra passion fruit to preserve throughout the year? The main process I use is freezing it. Then you can use it in recipes for months to come!!

Wow! I wish I had this many! Can't grow the edulis outdoors where I am so am confined to pots. I have incarnata in the ground but it is not anywhere near as good as the edulis :)

Is there no other way to preserve without a freezer?

You may be able to dehydrate it. I haven’t tried that before, but when i get my next harvest of passion fruit I may give it a try

@@homesteadpatch8663 Thank you for your reply. I am from South Africa and we cannot rely on our electricity suppliers so looking for other alternatives to store our foods. Maybe a wine would be the best option😁

How long it will be preserved in freezer and how long in chiller?
Does ot need a proper sealing to last long?

​@@glynissauerman1652I am in South Africa too. I cook the passion fruit up and add half fruit to half vodka and you can store it for years. Just add to soda water or tonic water. Enjoy
