I really like the focus adjustment tool but one thing to note on that - you don't need it for live view or mirrorless cameras. These focus off the sensor directly so it should always be right. Instead, this is needed for DSLR's where the phase detect system is separate from the sensor and can be off - but again, only for the viewfinder! If your mirrorless camera or live view focus is off, something else is to blame and microadjustments will not help it.
Well dang I didn’t know that. I assumed because the camera had that feature there was some sort of need for it on my Z6. Why is that adjustment setting on it?
@@connormccaskill I really couldn't tell you and my brief google searching just now can't either. You could try setting it to an extreme value to see if it even does anything. I suppose it's possible some people could want their camera to front or back focus for a particular shot, but none I can think of off-hand.

I still regularly use my Spyder5 Elite. I appreciate how DataColor continues to update the software and the latest version has shortened the monthly ReCal time down to under 5 minutes.
Such a great point. Something I haven't paid any attention to till now. Now to color balance my display.

Hey Dave, I'm so glad I saw this video, as I just bought a Spyder Pro 5 but haven't opened it yet. I'll be returning the 5 and getting this instead. I love ll the color charts and that spider cube. :) Thanks man!

Well first off... congrats on 500 that’s not easy! I would start looking at people like think media tv or deral eves to help you with how to get started. It’s all about consistency and understanding what people want to see and delivering that.
