    In this thought-provoking presentation, Mr. Smith invites viewers on a journey to explore the enduring relevance of the Ten Commandments, as elucidated in the Bible. With meticulous detail, he unravels the layers of wisdom encapsulated within these ancient directives, shedding light on their profound significance for contemporary life. Drawing from scriptural insights and real-world examples, Mr. Smith demonstrates how the commandments serve as a timeless moral compass, guiding individuals towards a life imbued with purpose, integrity, and compassion.
    Central to Mr. Smith's discourse is the theme of love - both divine and human. He illustrates how the commandments, far from being rigid decrees, are rooted in a deep and abiding love for God and for one another. Through the lens of King David's impassioned devotion to these laws, Mr. Smith showcases the transformative power of embracing the commandments not as burdensome restrictions, but as pathways to spiritual fulfillment and communion with the divine.
    Moreover, Mr. Smith confronts prevailing misconceptions regarding the relevance of the commandments in modern society. He critiques the tendency to relegate these principles to the annals of history, arguing that they remain as pertinent today as they were millennia ago. By examining contemporary attitudes towards morality and ethics, Mr. Smith underscores the urgent need for a revival of reverence towards the divine precepts outlined in the commandments.
    A key emphasis of Mr. Smith's presentation lies in the interconnectedness of the commandments and their role in shaping individual character and societal cohesion. He highlights the structured organization of the commandments, which, when viewed through the teachings of Jesus Christ, reveal a holistic framework for living a life rooted in love, righteousness, and empathy.
    Furthermore, Mr. Smith delves into the nuanced meanings embedded within each commandment, revealing profound insights that extend far beyond their surface interpretations. From the sanctity of human life to the integrity of speech and action, he unpacks the rich tapestry of moral imperatives encapsulated within these ancient directives.
    As Mr. Smith brings his presentation to a close, he paints a compelling vision of a world transformed by adherence to the principles of the Ten Commandments. In this utopian realm, individuals and communities thrive in harmony, guided by the timeless wisdom of these divine laws. Through his impassioned advocacy for the enduring relevance of the commandments, Mr. Smith inspires viewers to embark on a journey of rediscovery, where the beauty and depth of these ancient precepts illuminate the path towards a more virtuous and fulfilling existence.
    In summary, Mr. Smith's presentation serves as a poignant reminder of the profound relevance and transformative power of the Ten Commandments in shaping individual lives and societal values. With eloquence and conviction, he advocates for a return to these timeless moral principles, urging viewers to embrace them as guides for living a life grounded in love, righteousness, and compassion.
    Questions that this video will answer.
    1. How does the video explain the relationship between the Ten Commandments and expressions of love, such as King David's passionate devotion to them?
    2. In what ways does the video argue that modern interpretations of Christianity often fail to uphold the principles of the Ten Commandments?
    3. What significance does the video attribute to the structure and organization of the Ten Commandments, particularly in relation to Jesus Christ's teachings on love?
    4. How does the video highlight the deeper meanings and implications behind individual commandments, such as the prohibition against murder and the sanctity of human life?
    5. What vision of a transformed world does the video present, one where the principles of the Ten Commandments are universally upheld, and how does it connect this vision to the teachings of Jesus Christ?

    This is one of the most beautiful telecasts produced by Tomorrow's World. It should have thousands or even millions of views. But sadly, people are more interested in prophetic topics such as "Beast", "Mark of the Beast" instead of knowing how to live a proper Godly life.
    Excellent presentation.

    A wise pastor once said 3 million dollar question 1st If we are not to keep the law of God, then why does virtually every author of the scriptures, including James,John,,Paul and Yeshua tell us to keep the 10 commandments? 2nd If the law of God is done away with as we have been told through tradition. And the very definition of sin is breaking the law of God 1 John 3:4 then how can their be such a thing as sin? 3rd How can there possibly be such a thing as judgment day? If there is no standard of law to judge by? •how can anyone be thrown into the lake of fire for breaking of the law(sin) if they were not subject to being with?• Either the law still exists and condemns people for breaking it and the savior is needed to pay the death penalty or it doesn’t exist and we don’t need a savior. We can’t have it both ways.

      All through the Bible it says to "Keep the, God's Commandments". It does NOT say to keep Only the 10 commandments. I honestly don't know when or where the inception of only the 10 came to be over all of God's Commandments. Yes I know that Exodus explains the 10, but it also explains the whole other list of God's Commandments. This includes keeping God's Holy Days and the Feast Days and Holy Festivals. Yes the 10 commandments are vitality important, but so are the rest to teach us how to live a Godly life. ❤

      Just as "Love God" and "Love thy neighbor" summarize the law, the ten commandments seem to be bullet points to the rest of the law. Each of the ten being a different category that is explained in more detail elsewhere.
      For instance, Love thy neighbor and thou shalt not steal go hand in hand, and the commandments to not use false scales or to bring back your neighbor's lost ox are examples of not stealing and loving your neighbor.

    The Ten Commandments are written for our benefit. They give us structure and guidance...mentally, physically, and spiritually, knowing that the first law behind all these things is our nervous strength. If we waste it our structure comes under severe load, as if our structure is supporting all the force of gravity which weighs upon us according to our level of sin and, ultimately, in death, pinning our spirit to the ground to await the resurrection, and the Judgement.

      @@cindyledbetter2228 Well...let me explain it better. We each generate nervous strength. Every replication of every living cell generates it and the pool of all that energy is our nervous strength. We use it for every thought, action, and behaviour, both conscious and sub conscious. It is our energy supply for all our nervous system. If we use it wisely our emotional battery is fully charged, if we waste it and many do, wildly, then our emotional battery is continually flat...and this is where all depression, all ill health, and all lonliness stems from. Jesus Christ teaches us not just how to maintain a fully charged, battery within us...but how his Father, Almighty God loans us some of His living water to feed our nervous strength and support us for all eternity.

    Psalm 119th, aside from being known as the longest of all chapters in our Bible and memorable as an _acrostic_ psalm (all lines were designed to start with every Hebrew alphabet), is warrior-poet King David's ode to the greatness & majesty of God's Laws and Commandments.
    In glorifying God's Laws and Commandments, each and every one of its 176 verses (save perhaps one or two) contains the word _law_ or _commandment_ (or any of its variants such as _statutes, precepts, judgements_ etc.) and extols the Word of God in its many forms. Each verse is like a gemstone on a long string of 176 gems. As a psalm, the 119th must have been set to Temple music and sung with great beauty and reverence by the Temple choir and musicians during the holy day of the Feast of Weeks (commemorating the giving of the Ten Commandments on Mount Sinai; today's Pentecost).
    Imagine something like a 200-voice concert of Handel's _Messiah_ - it must be such a moving experience to sit in the audience of a concert of the original Temple choristers & musicians in their Temple finery singing the great Psalm 119th and other Psalms set to their original music.

    There's something to be said about how most of the Ten Commandments are worded in the negative (proscriptive), like 8 of the 10 are "Thou shall not's."
    If the Ten Commandments were worded in the positive (prescriptive), such as "Thou shall wear conservative garment" then imagine how that leaves not much room for options - think of the long-term societal repercussions of that (some _certain_ cultures or traditions of today are a stark example). Say what you will about Western art, speech, music, technology, literature, architecture, etc. but it's worth emphasizing that the strengths, beauty and virtues of the Judeo-Christian civilization are grounded on freedoms & liberties in much the same way that God grants His people a wide latitude of freedoms expressed in the Ten Commandments: "You are free to conduct yourselves, EXCEPT only such-and-such are forbidden."

    As we walk through the teachings of scriptures we find the Ten Commandments attached to the exodus of the Israelites coming out of Egypt and a number of righteous laws are given to them to assist them. These laws, when examined closely, all seem to relate to mold control. ie...circumcision, not touching dead bodies, adulterous behaviour...good food laws, not mixing with contaminated people, etc. etc. Their life in Egypt would have been very harsh...just as ours is today and suggests that mold could hve been amongst their greatest dangers...fortunately, Almighty God was on the scene, just as Jesus Christ is for us, today.

    For the follower of Christ, the avoidance of sin is to be accomplished out of love for God and love for others. Love is to be our motivation. When we recognize the value of Jesus’ sacrifice on our behalf, our response is to be love, gratitude, and obedience. When we understand the sacrifice Jesus made for us and others, our response is to be to follow His example in expressing love to others. Our motivation for overcoming sin should be love, not a desire to legalistically obey a series of commandments. We are to obey the law of Christ because we love Him, not so that we can check off a list of commands that we successfully obeyed. Galatians 6:2 Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. The 10 commandments promised life for obedience but gave no power to obey, and could only encourage obedience by fear of punishment. The law of Christ, on the other hand, is loving instruction for those who already have life. Believers who enabled to keep his law by the power of the indwelling Holy Spirit, and our motivation is our love for the Lord Jesus Christ.

    2:14 - So, going to the lake and relaxing is not permitted on the Sabbath? It's a violation of the 4th commandment? The way I understand it is the Sabbath is a day of rest from your work of the past 6 days. So, tell us Living Church of God and its members, what should we doing on the Sabbath after attending church? What in your eyes is permitted as far as rest goes?

    • @barbaramahan364
      @barbaramahan364 4 місяці тому +1

      You could start with the basics. Don't work, don't make anybody else work. Get some good food together on Friday and have enough for Saturday. Spend time with people you love. Read the Bible. Take a nap. If you can do that at the lake, be there before the sun sets Friday night. I live on a lake and when the sun goes down on Saturday night the lake is still there.

    • @RickOnTheDrums
      @RickOnTheDrums 4 місяці тому

      @barbaramahan364 don't make anybody else work? Okay what about Healthcare workers, policeman, firefighters are they breaking the fourth Commandment, and Wallace Smith just said going to the lake is breaking the fourth Commandment. He didn't say if you go by a certain time.

    • @barbaramahan364
      @barbaramahan364 4 місяці тому

      @@RickOnTheDrumsWallace is entitled to his opinion. The workers you mentioned. Jesus said it is lawful to do good on the Sabbath. I'm going to go with that. I still say if you plan for the night/day of the sabbath, you can be anywhere. Now, if you're going to be drinking and raising cain that's a whole different story and maybe that's what Wallace was thinking. Just try it. I wasn't born doing this stuff. I was a truck driver for 33 years. Obviously I didn't even think about sabbath day. I wouldn't change what I do now. It's not a burden and not meant to be. What's the worst that can happen? You try it with intention instead of resentment.

    • @RickOnTheDrums
      @RickOnTheDrums 4 місяці тому +1

      @@barbaramahan364 Your point is moot. There is nothing for me to try. I work 5 days a week and I'm off weekends. But I am on a rotating oncall because I'm a healthcare worker so that involves weekend work. The point is for me, if I want to go to a ball game, or hockey game, or the lake, or have friends over for a BBQ on a Saturday or a Sunday, that is my version of rest and relaxation that doesn't involve work. Am I somehow breaking the 4th commandment? If I have to get essentials for my family, I go to the store when I need them. And yes, Wallace is entitled to his opinions, but that being said, if LCG or any church for that matter is going to pay for airtime to spread their message, then personal opinions should be left out and focus on the message the Bible teaches. Many videos this channel puts out has the presenters tying their personal opinion and politics into bible verses to fit their narrative, but I don't want to get into that right now.

      "If you turn away your foot from the Sabbath, From doing your pleasure on My holy day, And call the Sabbath a delight, The holy day of the Lord honorable, And shall honor Him, not doing your own ways, Nor finding your own pleasure, Nor speaking your own words,
      14 Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, And feed you with the heritage of Jacob your father. The mouth of the Lord has spoken."

    Did he say going to the lake on sabbath is sin?

      It depends. If you go to the lake and cause someone to work by paying to get in, renting a boat, or buying dinner at the local restaurant - then yes. You've violated God's instructions about the Sabbath. Repent and turn back to God's ways -His laws.

    Amazing teaching of the truth of guarding the commands of YAH. May I exhort you to study deeper the meaning of the 3rd command concerning bringing the name of YHVH to naught? This is about removing this true name (though the pronunciation is debatable, whereby we call Him by the shortened poetic name "YAH", as it appears many times in scripture. If you study where "G-o-d and L-O-R-D" come from, you will see it is originates from false mighty ones (bringing His name to naught) as He commands us not to even speak their names Shemoth (Exodus) 23:13. Likewise, the transliteration of Yeshua to "Jesus" veers from the purity of His true name. Many blessings come forth from calling our Abba Father and His set apart Son by their correct names. Blessings!

    How can some ones say or tell others how to love God . And dose not even represent the truth God by his Name. or he dose not have the right to have a personal Name.one to know God name is also a command .John 17 v 1 to 3.and Jesus Christ teach out father who are in Heaven Hallo be thine Name . So what is his name. Jehovah our God. .or Jehovah God. Or Lord God ,or Father God. There are many masters who speaks like Angels But Hate Jehovah our God so much that they never mention his Holy Name . They also teach about 3 Gods in one which is a lie. So how can some ones teach the truth and teach Bout 3 Gods. And also reject to teach and mention God name in their teaching when Jehovah our God himself said know who your God is for their are Manny false Gods also New who your lord is for many call lord . That is where you lying that Jesus is God and all of those who tell lie for it's is one of the Commandment

    Jesus broke no less than 5 of the commandments.

      Jesus never broke any commandment.
      He fulfilled every single one of them.
      It's impossible to tell people to follow the commands if you're breaking them.
      It's impossible to die on the cross for everybody in the world and forgive their sins if you're breaking commands that you're dying for.
      Jesus is not a hypocrite He's a man of his word and he fulfilled every single commandment and over 360 prophecies.
      He also has the keys to heaven and hell.
      He is also the fulfillment of his father in heaven whose name is Abba father, who we cry out to !
