I hope you are not offended by this question, but “Are you a true Christian?” Are you absolutely sure about your answer? And, if so, how do you know? How does the Bible define a Christian? Does it say there are requirements? And, if so, what are they? Is there more to it than repeating the “sinner’s prayer”?
Please be patient with me as I ask another personal question. Is it possible you could be deceived? After all, doesn’t the Bible say that Satan has deceived the whole world? But how can that be when the world’s largest religion is professing Christianity? And what about Jesus’ warning to beware lest we be deceived?
On today’s program I’ll be exploring, according to the Bible, what is a true Christian? Now stay with me as I’ll be right back to give you four signs of a true Christian and reveal the best one-verse description of what it means to be a Christian.
A warm welcome to all of you from all of us here at Tomorrow’s World, where we look to the Bible for answers to life’s most important questions. We also tell you not to believe us just because we say it, but believe what you see in your very own Bible. And, of course this advice applies to other ministers as well. Believe what you read in your own Bible!
On today’s Tomorrow’s World program, I’ll be giving you four signs of a true Christian, and I’ll also reveal the best one-verse description of what it means to be a Christian.
Most people have regrets over things they’ve done. They instinctively know that some things are wrong. Furthermore, they know that they are guilty of doing wrong. So how does one undo the wrongs he or she has committed?
Some turn to doing good works to erase their past-volunteering at a homeless shelter, giving money to feed the poor, or becoming a warrior against climate change. But does that make them a Christian? By that standard, secular humanists and atheists could be considered Christians. But are we saved by good works? Paul explained in Ephesians 2:8-9:
For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God, not of works, lest anyone should boast (Ephesians 2:8-9).
It takes more than good works to be a Christian, but is God against good works? Absolutely not! Notice the next verse:
For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them (Ephesians 2:10).
No, God expects good works from those who are saved through faith. Others think that they can be saved by observing ritualistic laws, such as vain repetition of memorized prayers. Again, what do the scriptures say? Breaking into a thought, Paul wrote in Galatians 2:16:
… knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified (Galatians 2:16).
There is only one name and one way that we can be saved, and that name is spelled out in Acts 4, beginning in verse 10:
… let it be known to you all… that by the name of Jesus Christ… this man [that had been healed] stands here before you whole…. Nor is there salvation in any other, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved (Acts 4:10, 12).
Salvation only comes through Jesus Christ. Therefore, Sign #1 is:
Sign #1: A true Christian recognizes Jesus as his Savior
This leads us to our second sign of a true Christian:
Sign #2: A true Christian keeps the law of God
A misunderstanding occurs as a result of not knowing the meaning of justification. While justification is needed for salvation, justification does not mean salvation. Justification means our past sins have been forgiven. But what is sin? Dust off your Bible and look it up in 1 John 3:4…
Whosoever committeth sin transgresseth also the law: for sin is the transgression of the law (1 John 3:4, King James Version).
Now let’s go back to the passage I quoted earlier in Paul’s letter to the Galatians, a verse that is often quoted by those who teach that everything has been done for us and that we no longer need to keep the law. As with other passages used to abrogate the law, this one is taken out of context. Galatians the second chapter, once again, and verse 16:
… a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified (Galatians 2:16).
Was Paul advocating the abolition of law because of grace? Not at all, as we read the verses that follow.

Did you know that Jesus was not referring to the Torah but to his new commandment’s given in his ministry such as ‘love one another as I have loved you’ and ‘love your enemies and even those who persecute you’ these are not in the Law.? Plus of course the Hebrew law was never given to the Gentiles anyway, we can be saved without it, but then live following the Spirit and not the Torah laws regarding lifestyle food sabbaths etc. blessings if you’re a Jew but I’m not but am a new creature and not of this world but tomorrow’s world with Jesus as king 🎉

Yes!° this is absolutely truth. The majority of the modern fellowship in churches some knowing truth but to speak it they would lose their congregation. LOve of money is the root of a evil. Speak truth lose your salvation. Pretenders are not true believers but have pride. Humble and judge yourselves so you will not be judged

Please teach us how to keep the Sabbath
You have a very good question. I am not a member of this particular church, but I have been keeping God's holy 7th Day Sabbath for over 50 years. You learn to practice keeping God Sabbath, just like you learned to play an instrument ...practice makes perfect. I have at times not kept God's Sabbath as I should have. Once Sundown arrives on a Friday night, we shut off TV programs and the internet. What I mean is all the secular programming. It is fine to watch sermons on TV or on UA-cam. Make sure that you watch programs that believe in obedience to GOD keeping his holy Commandments and keeping his Seventh-Day Sabbath. Find a good Sabbath observing Church in your area if you are able to. If not, try to find those who believe the same way you do and have fellowship with him. Try to have extra prayer and Bible study on God's holy Sabbath day Try your best to avoid all secular activities between Friday Sundown and explain to God that you want to put him first in your life. Read Isaiah Chapter 58 carefully where it talks about not even using your own words on God holy Sabbath day. This is a very challenging thing to do. I am still learning how to keep God's holy Sabbath day more properly. Find some good literature on Sabbath observance from a group that believes in the real Jesus Christ who kept his Father's Commandments. I wish that you have a blessed and holy Sabbath.

Most will find a reason to honor the Lord others days, but He only hallow and set apart the Sabbath. It's significant to Him for His creation. It's commanded. Amen 🙏
Christians are under the GRACE of God through sacrificial blood of Christ NOT anymore under the Law of Moses. That's why Jesus break the Ten in Two. (BTW not just 10 but 600+ commandments) Jesus said, 1. Honor and worship God with all your heart, soul and mind. 2. Love your neighbor as yourself.

@@darrelldipaling PS Context is key here. If you would keep reading, Jesus states that "On these two commandments 'hang' all the law and the prophets. [Emphasis mine]. Matthew 22:40. The 10 Commandments "hang" on those two principles. They are not 'superseded' by them.
Jesus is strengthening the 10 Commandments by imploring the reader to observe not just the letter of "the law," but also the spirit of it, by explicitly stating what the "spirit" of the law is.

God did not create anything on a Sabbath - the weekly Sabbath observance did not exist until after the Israelites were released out of captivity in Egypt and God made a covenant with the people using Moses as the mediator to pass on God's requirements, namely the Law - which included the 10 commandments, of which one was a weekly Sabbath observance. On this day, the Jews would not carry out any commercial business - it was a day to honour their God, Jehovah and give him praise for rescuing them out of slavery.
The Sabbath given to the Jews has nothing to do with God's creative days - after the 6 creative days, God ceased and 'rested' from his work - he ceased to create from the beginning of the 7th day. That 7th day continues until now - it has not ended.
God did not create on a Sabbath.

The identifying sign of true Christians is being obedient to Jesus' commands.

Being a Christian is the hardest thing in life to do or be. I just cannot manage it too well, try as I might.
..don't give up, it is those that overcome the world that will inherit the kingdom.
After almost five decades, I myself still wrestle,..the Holy spirit aids me everyday. You can not do it yourself, recognize that,..I am behind you.
Tony, as the apostle Paul states in Romans, it is impossible to overcome our sins until we have been baptized and received the Holy Spirit. If you have not gotten that far then now you know what you need to do. If you are baptized and have received the Holy Spirit, then you need the encouragement of a faithful congregation to attend with. I've been at this for almost 40 years and sometimes I am appalled at myself, too! Even Paul bemoaned his weaknesses, writing again in Romans, "Oh wretched man that I am! Who will save me from this body of death?" Then he testified to his gratitude for Jesus and His love and intervention to help us overcome our sins. Take up Tom Ference's offer of support. And hopefully you can attend a Sabbath keeping and commandment keeping church of God. People there _will_ help you, so don't fear anything! 👌💖😉

God not only forgive last sin . True Christian God forgive all their sin . God comment us to keep the sabbath because God justified us , that’s why God comment us to keep the sabbath day. God don’t want us to do anything in order for us to become save . Because God jealous with His work , because all the glory belongs to God .Regarding Galatian 2:16 on the King James Bible more correct translation . By the faith of Jesus Christ not in Jesus Christ. i. One might say that everything that the Father said came from the Scriptures.
· In Psalm 2:7, the Father says to the Son: You are my Son.
· In Isaiah 42:1, the Father says to the Son that He is One in whom My soul delights. Or as Matthew 12:18 quotes the passage: in whom My soul is well pleased!
· In Deuteronomy 18:15, God the Father says through Moses the prophet about the coming Jesus, Him you shall hear.
ii. “The occasion was most august, yet no better words are needed by the Lord himself concerning his own Son than those recorded in former ages in the pages of Holy Writ…So that this voice of the Lord utters three Bible words, and surely if the Lord speaks in the language of Scripture, how much more should his servants? iii. This is another development of the significant theme in Matthew of the conflict between Jesus and the religious leaders. With these words from heaven, God the Father clearly set Jesus above the Law and the Prophets. He is not merely another or even a better lawgiver or prophet. Jesus is the only begotten Son.
iv. “If the Father says, ‘This is my Son,’ observe the graciousness of our adoption! With such a Son the Lord had no need of children. He did not make us his children because he needed sons, but because we needed a father.” (Spurgeon)

The wages of sin is death...so it makes sense that the wages of righteousness is life, but more abundantly. You see...hidden in righteousness is a science of genetic repair starting with blood repair and sympathy with those who point out this repair method is the mechanism that triggers the repair process.
My honest question though is. Given we want everyone to turn to Jesus and follow in his footsteps. If everyone did - who would take care of people in hospitals, elderly homes, children’s homes on the sabbath?
Is it not much more meant that we should work/serve for six days and rest on one day? Is that not how the sabbath is meant?
No way would Jesus want us to leave all those vulnerable people mentioned above without care for 24 hours each week.
Please could someone give me a real answer or at least their thoughts. I’d really like to see this answered by someone from this Church.

Stephanie, you are right. Jesus does not want nurses and doctors and essential workers to leave their jobs to keep the Sabbath. So the churches of God do not demand this of them. There are two medical doctors in the United Church of God in Edmonton, Alberta, for instance. At other times the church has made exceptions for people in the African country of Ghana, when they were compelled to work on government projects back in the 1970s. Even in ancient Israel and Judea exceptions had to be made for the army and other people. So worry not. If you absolutely cannot get every Sabbath off to attend church because you work in an essential service, the church understands. Talk to your local pastor about it and he can explain these things for you.

Well, first of all, the Biblical "Sabbath day" is not the same as "The Lord's day" (Sunday)....(Ref. Revelation 1:10) when all Christians conventionally assemble to worship GOD as a CHURCH✝️
And Sunday is very Biblically significant b'coz, it's the first day of the week when Christ was RESURRECTED (as in Matthew 28:1) Therefore, the very first "Church Assembly" (before the outpouring of the Holy Spirit) was indeed held at Jerusalem, with the presence of our resurrected Lord Jesus✝️ HalleluYAH 🙌 Praise the Lord 👏
And btw, you'll notice there's no mention of any "Sabbath day" in the Book of Revelation at all. 🤔

Under the Old Covenant, the most Holy day of the year was 10th day of the 7th month, day of Atonement. The Most Holy day in the New Covenant is the 4th commandment, God's Holy Sabbath. That is the day we should commemorate the death of Jesus every week, which removes the obstacle of sin between the sinner and God, which Jesus Atone'd for, and that was an act of MERCY by God.
Your Church teaches that the seven annual feast days are still required for God's people. We know that the ten commandments have not been done away with; so what requirements have been nailed to the cross ? In Colossians 2: 13-17, we find the answer. Verse 16 tells us " let no one judge you in food or in drink, or regarding a festival or a new moon or sabbaths, which are a shadow of things to come." Notice here that the word "sabbaths" begins with a small "s". So we know that it's not referring to the 7th day ; and we also know that the feast day sabbaths could fall on any day of the week . When Jesus died, on Passover, the curtain in the temple was torn miraculously from top to bottom , bringing to an end all of these feast day sacrifices. That's because Jesus became our sacrifice , once for all. 1John 5 : 3 tells us that God's commandments are not burdensome and I wholeheartedly agree. However, it seems to me that trying to keep all the annual feast days, every year, could be quite burdensome.

Oh Lord Help me! You know we live in a time that building we go worship God in, where the true gospel of your truth is not preached. She(my Aunt) cannot drive and she’s deeply desire to live in Christ Jesus to serve him. In what she hearing in this video fears she won’t make it to live in Christ Jesus present. She tries her upmost best to keep the laws of God, but none of us or perfect. Are you saying she’s hell bound?
I'm pretty sure that they have videos that address this question, the basis of which is Revelation 20 (discusses the first, second, and third 'physical' resurrections). as well as other scriptures. And some booklets as well, which go into greater detail.
May I suggest you search their website for them? Then you can get the answer directly.
The short answer, though, is 'no.' What the Bible actually says on this is quite comforting when compared to what I was always taught!

I watched a young mother of four going through an asthmatic attack. She wanted to be Anointed. I went to get someone and when they came they just stod there til she passed out and then said her name and said they would Anointed her. No mercy no forgiveness. No love no caring. This is what ministers in god's church did because she had talked about what she went through in her marriage. How can you all be so mean. Jesus call you right a bunch of snakes

b. Arise, and do not be afraid: The disciples were once again uniquely in awe of Jesus. This helps explain the purpose of the Transfiguration: to reassure the disciples that Jesus was the Messiah, even if He would indeed be crucified as He had so surprisingly revealed.
i. Note the context: Jesus just revealed His humiliation and sufferings to them. It makes sense that they receive another divine testimony to Jesus’ status as the Son of God at this time.
c. When they had lifted up their eyes, they saw no one but Jesus only: It is significant that their entire focus was forced upon Jesus once again. The cloud was gone; Moses had left, and Elijah had disappeared.
i. It might have been that after the events of the transfiguration, no one remained for the disciples. Theoretically, when the experience was over, there would have been no Moses, no Elijah, and no Jesus. This is exactly the experience of many. They have some spiritual experience, or receive some ministry from the Holy Spirit of God; but when it is over, it is over - done and gone. Nothing remains.
ii. It might have been that after the events of the transfiguration, only Moses remained for the disciples. Theoretically, when the experience was over, there would have been only Moses. Though Moses was a great man, compared to Jesus he was like the moon is to the sun. It would be sad to exchange the grace and truth that came by Jesus for the law that came by Moses; but there are those sad ones who see Moses and his law only.
iii. It might have been that after the events of the transfiguration, only Elijah remained for the disciples. Theoretically, when the experience was over, there would have been only Elijah. Elijah was a man great for the power of his word and the boldness of his national reforms. Yet all this doesn’t compare to the person and work of Jesus only.
iv. It might have been that after the events of the transfiguration, all three remained. At first, this might have seemed to be the best - why not all three? Yet now that Jesus has come, Moses and Elijah can fade into their supportive roles, and never be put on the same level as Jesus.
v. “Though the apostles saw ‘Jesus only,’ they saw quite sufficient, for Jesus is enough for time and eternity, enough to live by and enough to die by…O look to him, and though it be Jesus only, though Moses should condemn you, and Elias should alarm you, yet ‘Jesus only’ shall be enough to comfort and enough to save you.” (Spurgeon)
vi. “At this day, my brethren, we have no Master but Christ; we submit ourselves to no vicar of God; we bow down ourselves before no great leader of a sect, neither to Calvin, nor to Arminius, to Wesley, or Whitfield. ‘One is our Master,’ and that one is enough, for we have learned to see the wisdom of God and the power of God in Jesus only.” (Spurgeon)

When you say we must keep the Law, a lot of believers will think you only mean the 10 Commandments as you do not mention other Laws such as the food Laws. You should be clearer on this point as the other Laws are also GOD's Laws and worthy of being kept.

The law was given to the Jews to control sin.
The Tôrah, plus the 10-Commands were given to Jews to rule
their society for a time, that is from the time of their acceptance
of the Sinaitic Code till the coming of Jesus. The 10 commands

Saturday and Sunday are called The weekend....Sunday being the end of the week's end. Is Sunday part of the week end or the beginning of the week? It never made sense to calling these days the weekend, but claiming next, Sunday is the beginning of the week. About as crazy as claiming Christ was crucified on Friday and rose 3 days and 3 nights later. Nope. He was crucified at 3 pm Wednesday.

As to whether we should work on Sabbath if everyone kept the Sabbath. Keeping the Sabbath holy doesn't have any exceptions in scripture. If everyone kept God's laws, there wouldn't be a need for hospitals, children's homes, etc. You don't understand what pure Christianity is. God also has health laws, financial laws, charity laws. When you know these things, you would realize that it would be a very different world than it is today.

It is a shame for everyone who say 'I am a Christian ' to put his denomination "believes" upon the Word of God!
There are commandments for ALL people.
There are commandments for Jews specifically.
There are commandments for all others who believe and accept and decide to follow Jesus Christ!
And there is Father's commandment "not to have idols"!

On separated churches and true Christians, Our Lord says (excerpts from Maria Valtorta's Notebooks 1945-1950, pp. 579 and 581): "Separated churches gave themselves a human constitution, preserving as regards the True Church only what they liked to preserve to call themselves 'Christian.' But to be Christians does not mean just to pray to Christ and preach Him in some way or other; it does not mean to be even more rigorist than true Catholics in certain matters. Yet that did not make them -- aside from rare exceptions -- 'Christians' but, on the contrary, made them 'Anti-Christians.'
To be Christians means to form part of the Mystical Body (Eph 5:23) by belonging to the Church of Rome as Catholics and belonging to Christ by truly living as He taught and commanded to live (Matt 28:20). Otherwise, one is not a Christian in reality, not even if one is Catholic. Otherwise, people will be called Christians, but not be shoots nourished by Him (John 15:1-5). They will be detached shoots (John 15:6) which, even if they are not completely dry because a natural tendency towards Goodness make them act as just ones, are nevertheless branches that have replanted themselves on their own, in a PROUD way, and have produced a plant standing apart which yields fox-grapes and not good ones. To bear abundant and holy fruit, they must be grafted onto the True Vine. This is valid for both the individual shoots and those forming a life apart, the separated churches which have given their own constitution, conceived by their founder -- a man and not the God-Man -- cannot have that totality of spiritual life which only belonging to the Mystical Body maintains and protects against ever-greater separations, not only from the Body itself, but from the Truth and Light which render secure the way leading from the earthly Church to the Heavenly One."
Why Our Lord said "Anti-Christians"? Our Lord said, "Whoever listens to you listens to Me. Whoever rejects you rejects Me and rejects the One who sent Me (Luke 10:16, John 13:20, Matt 10:40), and Whoever is not with Me, is against Me (Matt 12:30)." Our Lord is the Head of His Church, Mystical Body (Eph 5:23). Therefore, whoever rejects the Catholic Church rejects Our Lord and becomes Anti-Christian, rebelling against His Will that all, who believe in Him, be One (John 17:20-23) and follow His teachings which are taught by His Church integrally (Matt 28:20). Our Lord's words in Matt 7:21-23 -- "I never knew you. Depart from Me you evil doers" -- apply to whoever rejects His Church. Protestant churches separated themselves in a PROUD way as taught by their master, the source of Pride and Deceit.
Friend, the sin of denominationalism has caused many problems between Christians, nevertheless, God has a remnant within each denominations whom have not forgotten their first love, and that first love is Christ. I’m not a Roman Catholic, nevertheless, I’m a Christian who loves the Lord far above anything or anyone, I love the Lord even far more than my own life or any of my loved ones. Now, it’s true that many denominations have some differences in doctrine, but to say that one denomination, like the Roman Catholic Church, has the only truth and it was founded by Christ Himself is dead wrong. To be honest, when you compare what the Bible teaches (66 books only) and what Roman Catholics teach, they are not the same! When we compare Catholicism teachings from the Bible we can clearly see that Catholicism is mixed with paganism, thus, Catholicism is 50% Christianity and 50% paganism. Praying to Mary, Rosary, confession to a priest, having statues made by hand that represent divine beings,…etc are all against the Holy Scriptures. Blessings.

@@wazzzappening4848 The trouble is that the scriptures nowhere tell us _how_ to observe a new moon. So the churches of God do not attempt to observe them. In ancient times Israel did keep them and it must have been something they knew about. However, it is not in the scriptures. And Colossians 2:16 is not speaking of keeping these things. Should New Moons be kept as Sabbaths?
It has been argued that it is not for one to disprove that the New Moons are Sabbaths, but to find sufficient evidence to prove that they are. The New Moons were kept as Sabbaths in ancient Israel.
The New Moons are all significant and important days. They are days of sacrifice, and of worship. Acknowledgment of them is vital for keeping them. But does this mean that they are Sabbaths? We have seen above that the first New Moon of the year is a Solemn Feast Day. Thus one of them is a Sabbath at the very least. The New Moon of the Seventh Month is also the Day of Trumpets and hence also a Solemn Feast Day.
We will see in the other texts that the New Moons were days of assembly and God dealt with Israel and the world on these New Moon days. He spoke through His servants the Prophets on these days.
Where can it be shown that the New Moon is a Sabbath - that no trade or heavy labour can be done on this day?
The clearest texts we have are in Exodus at the Sanctification of the Temple as a Day of Solemn Assembly and also in Amos 8:5. Amos castigates Israel for wanting the Sabbath and New Moon to be ended so that they could commence trading. They were keeping them, but God was unhappy that they were not keeping them with a whole heart and they wanted them to end to begin trading.
Amos 8:5 saying, "When will the new moon be over, that we may sell grain? And the sabbath, that we may offer wheat for sale, that we may make the ephah small and the shekel great, and deal deceitfully with false balances, (RSV)
Amos 8:5 which is the only other place which talks of trade and a New Moon is ambiguous. Is it a general reference to all new moons or could it relate to Trumpets only, or could it even be a reference to a seasonal requirement as with new and old harvest restrictions marked by the offering of the wave sheaf?
There is nothing in this verse to indicate that it is dealing with any specific harvest or Trumpets. Therefore, the text should be read as it is written, as a general statement in relation to New Moons and Sabbaths. Taking the verse in context, the chapter is dealing with God’s displeasure with His people. He is angry that the Sabbaths, New Moons and Feasts are not being kept correctly and that the people are not dealing justly with each other.
Numbers 10:10 states that the trumpets should be blown at all New Moons.

Yes. They do need to be kept as Sabbaths and Messiah will reintroduce and enforce them with the Sabbath when he returns (Isa. 66:20-23) together with the other feasts of God (see Zech. 14:16-19).

Why is salvation not a free gift if we must live sinless like Jesus to be saved than no one can be truly saved unless they never sin after praying for forgiveness of there sin must live the perfect sinless life that Jesus lived.
Jesus is divine, which means, Jesus is fully god and fully human, the answer to your question, is in John 3:6, flesh gives birth to flesh, but the spirit gives birth to spirit, 1 John 1:8, if we claim to be without sin, we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us.
I am still wondering why the new testament goes out of its way to e enforce 9 commandments but not the Sabbath. I voluntarily celebrate the Sabbath, but, according to scripture, I cannot condemn any Christian for not honoring it.

Matthew 27:52-53 records the resurrection of the dead saints that slept. These are the dead out from which Christ was risen as prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15-17 and Luke 2:34. In Romans 1:9 Paul tells us we must confess this truth that they were saved and believe in our hearts that God raised Jesus from them (the dead) to be saved. This resurrection of the dead prophesied in Jeremiah 31:15 and repeated in Simeon's blessing of Jesus in Luke 2:34 is fulfilled in Matthew 2:16-18 (the slaughter of the innocents) and Matthew 27:51-53. A careful study of Jeremiah 31:15 reveals that these are God's Sons, Rachel's children. (Rachel weeping because they are NOT) Why are they NOT? Matthew 2:16-18 plainly tells us Herod butchered them. Next back to the original prophecy in Jeremiah 31:16, God promises Rachel that the children will "come again" from the land of the enemy. When did this happen in Israel? (More importantly, why have we not been taught this?) Simeon repeats Jeremiah when he blesses Jesus (Luke 2:34) and prophesies again that Jesus is set for the great crash and RESURRECTION (Gr anastasis) of the "many" in Israel.
This resurrection in Israel is the only way this prophecy from Jeremiah could be fulfilled. Where do we find this resurrection? Why is this not taught to Christians in the church world? Back to Luke 2:34, we see from Simeon that this resurrection of the many dead (polis= a great number) would be "spoken against" (denied, covered up, hidden) We have not been taught the truth about the Resurrection of Jesus Christ from the many dead saints. Matthew 27:51-53 reveals this resurrection (of many) but traditional teachings of heresy and false doctrine have denied and spoken against it. (Luke 2:34) They have preferred a doctrine of "Jesus Only" to the biblical truth revealed herein. Traditional pagan Easter has been incorporated into the truth of the word producing another Jesus and another gospel which isn't the gospel at all!
So few have even heard the plain and the whole truth. Going back to Jer 31:17 we see that these same children will COME AGAIN to their own borders where they were slaughtered. This is the BLESSED HOPE of ISRAEL and all who hear and believe the truth of the gospel. False teachers under the sway of the Prince of the Power of the air have imbued us with a false Christianity, a false Jesus, and a false gospel. Christ was sent by His Father to redeem Israel. This is His work, His First Love -- HOW He died for the sins of all according to the scriptures! (1 Cor 15:1-4) He took these to the Father then He sent His Holy Spirit so that all might believe His marvelous work of grace and be saved and fully converted to this truth. This is the Name / Authority we must call upon to be saved. They are the New Creation into which we must be grafted (the church, the Bride) and remain until they come.
Meanwhile apostate Christianity debates who the 144ooo are and when they will appear. The 144,ooo were redeemed from among men being His firstfruits we see in Rev chapters 7 and 14. They were redeemed with Christ at His resurrection.
They are His Body over which He is Head. We are added to them by faith, not our works, but His! We will be rewarded at His Coming for what we have done in His Body, whether that be Good or Evil (useless)! Study to show yourself approved, rightly dividing the Word /the Truth!

Im not a Christian! I am a follower of Jesus Christ! Christianity has moved so far away from Jesus and His word that most have become false Christians! They pray to Mary and the Saints, and they live progressive lives sinning everyday without repentance! There will be many disappointed people on that day!
A. Jesus is transfigured.
1. (1-2) The transformation of Jesus before His disciples.
Now after six days Jesus took Peter, James, and John his brother, led them up on a high mountain by themselves; and He was transfigured before them. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light.
a. Jesus took Peter, James, and John: Jesus did not invite all the disciples, but only these three. Perhaps Jesus did this to prevent the account of this amazing miracle being told of before the time was right (Matthew 17:9). Others have suggested that He did it because these three needed closer supervision than the others.
i. After six days: “Luke’s ‘about eight days after Jesus said this’ (Luke 9:28) is based on a Greek way of speaking and means ‘about a week later’.” (Carson)
b. Led them up on a high mountain: There have been several suggestions for the location of the Mount of Transfiguration.
· Mount Tabor (about 1,900 feet, 580 meters); but it isn’t high, and isn’t on the way from Caesearea Philippi to Capernaum.
· Mount Hermon (about 9,300 feet, 2,835 meters) is high; but perhaps too high and too cold on its summit, where they seem to have spent the night. It also would not be close to the Jewish crowds that met Jesus immediately on His descent from the mountain (Matthew 17:14, Luke 9:37).
· Mount Miron (about 3,900 feet, 1,190 meters) was the highest mountain in a Jewish area, and is on the way between Caesearea Philippi and Capernaum. Carson favors this location.
i. “The name of the ‘high mountain’ can never be known; for those who knew the locality have left no information. Tabor, if you please; Hermon, if you prefer it. No one can decide.” (Spurgeon)
c. He was transfigured before them: The word transfigured speaks of a transformation, not merely a change in outward appearance. The effect was extremely striking; Jesus became so bright in appearance that He was even difficult to look at (like the sun).
i. “The verb metamorphoo (‘transfigure,’ ‘transform,’ ‘change in form’) suggests a change of inmost nature that may be outwardly visible.” (Carson) It may be that this glory shone forth in the Garden of Gethsemane, when those who arrested Him fell back when Jesus said, “I am.” (John 18:6).
ii. Essentially this was not a new miracle, but the temporary cessation of an ongoing one. The real miracle was that Jesus, most of the time, could keep from displaying this glory. Yet John said, We beheld His glory. Peter wrote, We were eyewitnesses of His majesty.
iii. “For Christ to be glorious was almost a less matter than for him to restrain or hide his glory. It is forever his glory that he concealed his glory; and that, though he was rich, for our sakes he became poor.” (Spurgeon)
iv. This happened as a fulfillment of Jesus’ promise in Matthew 16:28. We should remember that chapter and verse divisions were certainly not in the original writings of the apostles, and did not come until the 16th Century.
d. His face shone like the sun, and His clothes became as white as the light: It was His face that did shine as the sun. He wasn’t transformed into another being with another body; it was His own face that shone.
i. Jesus has His disciples with Him when He shines in His glory. He is not glorified apart from them, because they share in His glory. Father, I desire that they also whom You gave Me may be with Me where I am, that they may behold My glory which You have given Me. (John 17:24)
ii. “Another thing which we may learn from our Lord Jesus Christ having shown himself to his apostles thus robed in brightness is, that we are scarcely aware of the glory of which the human body is capable.” (Spurgeon)
2. (3) Moses and Elijah appear with Jesus.
And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him.
a. Moses and Elijah: Remarkably, these two Old Testament persons appeared and spoke with the transfigured Jesus. Moses had lived some 1400 years before; Elijah some 900 years before; yet they were alive and in some sort of resurrected, glorified state.
i. It is fair to think that these two particular persons from the Old Testament appeared because they represent the Law (Moses) and the Prophets (Elijah). The sum of Old Testament revelation came to meet with Jesus at the Mount of Transfiguration.
ii. We can also say that Moses and Elijah represent those who are caught up to God (Moses at Jude 9 and Elijah at 2 Kings 2:11). More specifically, Moses represents those who die and go to glory, and Elijah represents those who are caught up to heaven without death (as in the rapture described in 1 Thessalonians 4:13-18).
iii. From this we see: “Saints long departed still alive; live in their personality; are known by their names; and enjoy near access to Christ.” (Spurgeon)
b. Talking with Him: Luke 9:31 tells us the theme of their conversation; they spoke of His decease which He was about to accomplish at Jerusalem. They spoke of the upcoming work of the cross, and presumably of the resurrection to follow.
i. “And where could there have been found greater subjects than this wondrous death, and his glorious resurrection?” (Meyer)
ii. “They ‘appeared unto them’ but they ‘talked with him’: the object of the two holy ones was not to converse with the apostles, but with their Master. Although saints are seen of men, their fellowship is with Jesus.” (Spurgeon)
There's nothing like True Christian because there's nothing like christian or Christian Religion in God's kingdom. Christ never formed any christian religion, but Satan did just as he formed the Jewish Religion that persecuted Christ while physically on earth. From the Old testament to the New testament, God called His people Saints and not Christians because there's nothing like christian religion before God, but Christ's Church called the New Jerusalem City Of God.
Perhaps you can explain to me why there are a 1000+ denominations in Christianity? Just by the way there is no such word in the entire Bible! Paul says "WE ARE ONE IN CHRIST" Galatians 3:26-28. The ONLY GOSPEL TO THE GENTILES is the Gospel of Grace as given to the Apostle Paul by the Crucified Jesus Christ Himself. Acts 28:25-28 (KJV). Why do these 1000+ denominations, as you are doing, continue to mix before the Cross with after the Cross? Grace cannot be commingled with Law! Under Law you are required to obey the Law & sacrifice once a year for the forgiveness of sins whereas under Grace Christ did it ALL on the Cross - His last words were "It is finished". Paul is very clear about us gentiles (Christians) preaching "ANY OTHER GOSPEL THAN THE ONE HE PREACHES" see Galatians 1:8-9! Before the Cross everything was external - God was known as God, the Holy Spirit was external & Jesus of Nazareth (Jesus in the flesh) was external but after the Cross God became "our Heavenly Father" & we Born Again Christians became His sons & daughters & His precious Son was placed "Spiritually speaking In us". Read Roman's 16:25 (The Mystery), Colossians 1:26-27, Galatians 2:20 & just as a matter of interest in Galatians 2:21 Paul says " if you are under LAW JESUS DIED IN VAIN" - that's plain enough. See also Ephesians 1:4. In my humble opinion the reason why there are a 1000+ plus denominations is because Preaches/Teachers commingle Law & Grace or what belongs to Israel with what belongs to Christians! Even Jesus of Nazareth told His Disciples in Matthew 10:5-6 "DO NOT GO TO THE GENTILES ETC" as He was sent "BUT TO THE LOST SHEEP OF THE HOUSE OF ISRAEL" & He repeats that in Matthew 15:24 & in Matthew 15:26 Jesus likens gentiles to dogs who eat the crumbs from the floor. I could go on as there plenty more I could say! All scriptures quoted are from the King James Version of the Bible!

To a "TRUTH SEEKER" this is disturbing to listen to!! "SALVATION FROM SIN" even as a child I saw the potential of "sin-pardon-sin" ad infinitum. For one, JESUS didn't die FOR our sins, but BECAUSE of the sinful ways of the people of HIS days, second HE was GOD'S SUN, not SON. More importantly, those that recognized HIS STATION was suppose to become "CHRIST-LIKE and thus "TRUTH SEEKERS", staying at mere "Believers" hindered their readiness to wanting to "IVESTIGATE" HIS UPDATED TEACHINGS of 1844 -1863 .

While I understood a video on a sermon (Born again), no mention was on "born again christians", some have no problem on worshiping on Sundays. remember what Jesus was like from the first 4 books of the new testament.
