The Dritz Snag-nab-it is my favorite tool for pulling snags to the back! One end is a large tapered needle tip, and the back half is knurled like a rasp! You just insert at the base of the snag and push through, and the rasp pulls the snag. So quick and easy, especially on short snags that would be difficult to twist around the pin.

This is brilliant Catherine. I love the combination of colours and textures.
Would you consider doing a video about choosing fabrics? Do you have any colour guidelines for successful combinations? Or little golden rules when combining textures or fabrics. The kind of thing that you do intuitively but may need to be pointed out to a novice like me.

At this time in life, I'm not going to try this; but, I was thinking that knitted samples (that were made to test the yarns, needle sizes, and stitch patterns) could be used to make patchwork sweaters. I have seen them used to make blankets. Crochet block samples could be mixed in also. Your patchwork pull over sweater is cute on you. You might be able to make a matching head band out of the striped piece you were thinking of using for the neckband. You also might be able to make a cute matching hat out of the left over scraps. I love patchwork.

I am so enjoying this. Including your challenges, which you muster through. I do this (patchwork) type thing with t shirts...for various things, skirts, kimonos, scarves....etc. but I appreciate what you said in the beginning re: the costs because I've made skirts from t shirts in the past, 1 in particular which cost me GOD KNOWS WHAT (its just that I'd collected them over time) because t shirts aren't even that cheap any more and you have to think about how many you need for any given project so. I so appreciate this. (I also want to commend you on the video aspect of this. The amount of taping, positioning the camera, redoing, and splicing the entire thing together WHILE making a garment. I love it so much! When you turned up the hem, I wondered why you're not just adding a ribbing from one of the sweaters 😂. I'm in the other hemisphere, so want to try it with t-shirts.

You are so brave! I'd have been losing my mind on this one, largely because I'm always fighting my serger in not distorting the seams. But the way you press those seams makes a huge difference so I'll try that! Well done, it's really cute!
