Thanks for taking us through your journey. As an owner of a BB58,I can attest at how great the watch looks and wears. Enjoy it for many years in good health!
I once owned a BB black ETA smiley face. When i sold it i didn't know they had discontinued it and i let it go cheap. I since saw them sell for nearly double what i got, Do'h 🤦♂️
I tried the 54 and it’s definitely not too small on my 6.5 wrist. I think as a 1 watch collection the 54 is perfect. However, if you have a multiple watch collection, you may want something with a little more spice because for all its goodness, the 54 is a very boring looking watch at least when compared to the 58. Unlike the 54, the 58 is not an exact replica of back catalog Tudor, it is its own thing. The gilted bezel adds a nice warmth and harmony with the gold on the dial, the red triangle harkens back to the Rolex Big Crown and serves to break up the monotony of the watch. I also find the more refined coin edge bezel and matching crown very elegant. It is a very special watch that isn’t an exact replica.
Your video is very high quality. Keep up it up :) I bought a Rolex the minute I could afford one, I almost wish I would’ve waited longer, it might’ve made it more special
What are the exact watch straps (red and green) we see in the video? I saw from your earlier comment that they are from watchgecko but was wondering the exact strap / model name?
The 58 is so well made and perfectly proportioned for a sports watch. It borrows from classic Tudors and Rolex without being a slave to an exact copy . It really is it’s own thing. The gilt bezel gives the 58 a warm feel, the red triangle offers a pop of color paying homage to the Rolex Big Crown, the chunky coin edge crown is so satisfying to wind with a refined matching coin edge bezel and I love the snow flake seconds hand. It’s different from the more traditional lollipop style. By the way, 39 mm is on the smaller side for a modern sized sports watch. I think anything smaller is playing vintage territory.

The 54 on its own is a great watch, no doubt. But next to the 58, it does look a bit plain.

Thank you for the feedback. Enjoy wearing the Rolex.
It's taken me 44 years to try and buy a Rolex. I started thinking about it on my birthday on 1979 and finally have the money to do so.
Wow! That's a long time, my friend. Which Rolex?

The straps are the Ridge Military Nylon Watch Straps. They're available in many colors.

Thank you for the comment, Michael.
