I’m 6ft tall 190lbs and have a 7inch wrist. I picked my BB54 up from my AD a few hours ago and am obsessed with the size. Compared it to the 58 and preferred the 54
I think Tudor have hit a home run with the BB54. Previously people with slimmer wrists were only offered the BB non diver line but now there is a whole new bunch of people who could now wear a diver that fitted them. The dial if I'm not mistaken also exhibits a mild sunray effect similar to the Pelagos 39 that might just give the watch that little more versatility. The T-Fit clasp is very well done and one of the best in my humble opinion as a Pelagos 39 owner with this clasp. A great overview Harrison of a great watch. I look forward to seeing this watch in the flesh at some point. Thanks for sharing.

Buys $3500 wristwatch, saves $200 to wear it on a rubber strap. Is that like buying a Ferrari on stamped steel wheels with plastic hubcaps? 😜 I think this BB54 is one of those watches that maybe has to be experienced in person because it does look a bit plain in photos and videos to me. I think its the bezel having silver markings rather than gilt like the BB58’s markings. This seems off to me given everything on the dial is gilt. Also the missing red triangle on the 54 loses some visual interest. I still hope Tudor does the following for me: Add an option to the BB58 for the t-fit clasp jubilee bracelet. That will be my perfect Tudor; who is with me? Imagine a BlackBay 58 with the jubilee bracelet from the new 41mm model!
Not needed, bb58 all day, perfect. Only thing better is extension, the Tudor black bay 31/36/39/41 on jubilee are the nicest watches from this year we need a GMT bb58
Contrary to your view... 37mm is actually the perfect size for your wrist. 41-42mm Sub is ideal for a mans man who works hard everyday. The dimensions of the larger watch gravitated towards the customer (back in the day) and the trends followed that cue....today, guys like you and Teddy Baldassarre buy them as fashion accessories not military men who need the functionality.
I dont think it's that small. Yes, it might be small per diver watch standards in a medium to big wrist, but it doesn't look that small if you see it as a small watch overall. It looks good, like a PRX.
I don’t know if the BB54 is too small but where were the complaints that the BB58 is too big? Just a few tiny tiny design differences. Looks like they’ve filled a non existent gap in their range.
I'm pretty sure the correct term is *Water Resistant and not *Waterproof. Seiko had to remove the wording waterproof from the caseback of their watches in like the 60s/70s
@@ChisholmHunterOfficial that is so weird because waterproof implies that the watch is impenetrable to water but no watch can guarantee being 100% waterproof.
I have a BB41 and a BB58. It’s unlikely I’ll be adding this, but I think they’ve done a lovely job. Also, I have what Hans Wilsdorf (I think it was him) referred to as ‘fat-bastard wrists’.
It's not "preference" - it is INCLUSION Average women wrist is 5.5 - 6.5. I'm right in the middle about 6.1-6.2 depending on the weather. A lug-to-lug of 47 is pushing it on my wrist and 44 fits a whole lot better. 50+ is a straight no go What did women buy like crazy when it launched? BB58. Tudor is being smart. They're making a slightly smaller watch both in the Pelagos (39 instead of 42) and a slightly smaller Black Bay. If it sells like I think it will, expect to see Blue, Green, Wine Red. Please don't call it preference. I don't prefer a size 7.5 shoe when an 11 doesn't fit my feet
I have the Tudor Ranger and size is okay for me at 39 mm. Watches are all unisex now anyways and 2 mms is not that much but would be better on a female wrist. Buys $3500 wristwatch, saves $200 to wear it on a rubber strap. Is that like buying a Ferrari on stamped steel wheels with plastic hubcaps? 😜
I think this BB54 is one of those watches that maybe has to be experienced in person because it does look a bit plain in photos and videos to me.
YES
Perfect size for everyday
Why do you wear it on your hand ?
Not needed, bb58 all day, perfect. Only thing better is extension, the Tudor black bay 31/36/39/41 on jubilee are the nicest watches from this year
we need a GMT bb58
Contrary to your view... 37mm is actually the perfect size for your wrist. 41-42mm Sub is ideal for a mans man who works hard everyday. The dimensions of the larger watch gravitated towards the customer (back in the day) and the trends followed that cue....today, guys like you and Teddy Baldassarre buy them as fashion accessories not military men who need the functionality.
Of course it is NOT too small! But whoever doesn’t like it, they can buy something else. A Panerai maybe.
This watch is just insane !
I dont think it's that small. Yes, it might be small per diver watch standards in a medium to big wrist, but it doesn't look that small if you see it as a small watch overall. It looks good, like a PRX.
Yes !
I don’t know if the BB54 is too small but where were the complaints that the BB58 is too big? Just a few tiny tiny design differences. Looks like they’ve filled a non existent gap in their range.
It’s perfect!!!
Shame the supply/demand is currently bonkers. Not even the boutique in Glasgow have one to try on - nowhere in Scotland has one to look at for now.
37mm....Asian market? Been thinking of Pelagos 39 for my daughter.
His wrists are 6.5in
He calls it "a small, dainty watch"
Is it too small for a normal sized person? Probably.
I'm pretty sure the correct term is *Water Resistant and not *Waterproof. Seiko had to remove the wording waterproof from the caseback of their watches in like the 60s/70s
No this isn’t correct. Tudors terminology is waterproof. Have a look on Tudors website and you’ll see it.
I’ll be waiting for the 41mm Black Bay on the jubilee bracelet but with a black bezel.
Same but with the blue bezel
If Tudor adds the T fit clasp to the 58, my black bay gmt will go on the sales block.
Its too small for my 6.75 inch wrist looks like a dainty ladies watch .I wish it was 41mm,I'm going to buy the red bb41 on jubilee cant wait
BB58 would be perfect size I would've thought. I just don't like the snowflake hands.
@@WH-hi5ew no I hate the 58 ugly ass rivits
The 41mm one with the 58’s case thickness 👍🏼 job done ✅ how hard can it be 🤔
It's not "preference" - it is INCLUSION
Average women wrist is 5.5 - 6.5. I'm right in the middle about 6.1-6.2 depending on the weather. A lug-to-lug of 47 is pushing it on my wrist and 44 fits a whole lot better. 50+ is a straight no go
What did women buy like crazy when it launched? BB58. Tudor is being smart. They're making a slightly smaller watch both in the Pelagos (39 instead of 42) and a slightly smaller Black Bay. If it sells like I think it will, expect to see Blue, Green, Wine Red.
Please don't call it preference. I don't prefer a size 7.5 shoe when an 11 doesn't fit my feet
for an 8" wrist like mine, "yes!". I tried it on and its puny, like a child's watch!
I wish they’d make a Black Bay 58 in 41mm….the Black Bay Heritage is not the same.
It's not small of course !!! 37 mm is a Perfect size.. I'll get it when it would be available
@xChisholmhunter0-hj8bf ~ OK, Ship oranges in barrels
YES!
something about the size of the bracelet and the dial seems not right. In the long run, the regular version will age more finely than this.
I have the Tudor Ranger and size is okay for me at 39 mm. Watches are all unisex now anyways and 2 mms is not that much but would be better on a female wrist. Excellent presentation Music intro the clear speaking with no back ground noise. Too many youtubers ruin videos with talking over music and my ear goes straight to music. I always miss the message.
It’s not too small for your wrist size. It’s just not your preference. You do you.
The weight is surprising considering that the BB58 weighs 145 grams... IMHO the BB58 actually looks nicer with the extra gilt and red triangle.
No need for discussion, if you have wider wrist, go and get 39 or 41mm
Yes it is
