Thank you for sharing. Such a joy! Praise and all glory to God!
It's great to hear strong harmonies all throughout the congregation, not just from a special choir. God bless all in this house!
Blessings!
This style of worship is one thing I'd like to see us Southern Baptists borrow from our Presbyterian brothers and sisters.
I can't articulate why but I love the stomp. I want more songs where I can do that.
My heart cries to be part of this kind of community.
Yes! More of these please. Keep ‘em coming. Love learning how to sing psalms, hymns, and spiritual songs with you all.
Wonderful! Wish I was there!
Love. This.
4 weeks and I still listen w joy.
Glorious.
I love this congregational harmonious joy bringing singing - thank yoi.
Praise the Lord!
Glorious!
This is awesome love it
Really inspiring and I love this
Is it likely that Christ Kirk will release a worship "album" for purchase?
No plans for that, but Dr David Erb does have an album of his psalms available on here and Spotify. Search 'Cantica Sanctorum.'
Wow . . . . wow . .
A wild Sean Bonhet appeared!
This congregation sounds professional 😅
We've been working hard at learning psalms and hymns for 25 years now - it's pretty great! As far as I know, no one but the music minister could sing harmony when we started.
@@communitychristianministries that's quite impressive
What is the meaning or purpose of the stomp?
Sort of has a war drum marching effect
@@philipmurray9796 One stomp in the entire song, just to mark a rest? I don't think so! 🤔
It was just for fun that day. Normally we don't stomp if we sing that song on Sunday.
@@D-meist Apparently, we do now, ha! The kids' enthusiasm for it has taken over; there was definitely a lot of stomping at Christ Church when we sang it this morning.
Is there a special time to teach the parts to the congregation? Usually the harmonies aren’t sung by this many congregants.
Once or twice a month we have a lesson before we begin our worship service. We also have the benefit of having many congregants trained somewhat in singing from school.
In my experience (3 CRE congregations since 1999), regular practice at musical excellence causes a core group (the regular attendees of said practices) to become skilled, which has the effect of splashing over into the rest of the congregation during regular weekly worship.
