    This video is a reason I decided to buy this pedal. I prefer this kind of in-depth walkthroughs than youtubers/influencers videos. I'm using ultratap with bass guitar for creating rhytmic and ambient sounds. It works great with my other delays and envelope filters. Thanks!

    My pedal arrived this afternoon and I played with it for a few hours. Made some sweet sounds and some bad noise. Found your video very helpful as I've never had these kinds options in any of my other delays. So thanks. Plan to use as studio FX in the AUX loop of my mixer. But after watching this, it will also migrate to my guitar rig. Rock on.

    Really clear and well-planned tutorial and run through of the pedal. It's really informative and has helped me better understand how to approach the Ultratap preset on the H9 as well. Thanks!

    Joe That was an incredibly thorough yet practical in depth look at ultra tap. I’ve used the algorithm in the h9 for few years but never had this level of understanding. I just bought the ultra tap pedal because of this video thx!

    Joe, you're great. This tutorial was extremely helpful, and now I feel like I'm ready to use the pedal. I'd like to buy you and the whole team responsible for creation of this video a beverage of your choice.

    Thank you so much for the tutorial! Those 3 new pedals are fantastic and build quality is heavenly (better than high end competitors'). I have all of them and would love to see more, like something for extensive harmonization for example. :)

    It's possible do something similar like "bandtaps algorithm" from Eventide Eclipse ?

    Is there a way to 'preview' the effects of the 46 presets in the Eventide Device Manager so that you know which 5 you want to move to the pedal presets?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  7 місяців тому

      When you have UltraTap connected to your computer and you’re running the Eventide Device Manager you simply select presets from the list to load them on the pedal. When you find your favorites you can move them into position in the first five slots. You will be able to recall them from the front panel of UltraTap when it’s not connected to your computer.

      @@EventideAudio Thank you for the quick response, but is there a way to hear what the presets sound like before I load them into the pedal?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  7 місяців тому

      @@worldwide1376 The easiest way is using the software. Users can click through sounds fairly quickly without even moving anything. On the pedal itself, it would require a MIDI controller to cycle through the internal presets. Otherwise, we only have access to the first 5.

    Is there a way to "hold" the delay (whatever is currently audible), and just have it repeat without it changing? (not freeze, just continuing whatever is in the current program material)

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  7 місяців тому

      With Feedback set to 100% UltraTap will loop the delay path. On board control will still be able to influence the loop, however. If you wish to play atop the loop, you could bypass UltraTap as the loop is going and the audio will not continue to layer. Bypass mode needs to be set to DSP+FX for that to work.

      @@EventideAudio Appreciate you responding... the trouble with 100% is that it is somewhat difficult to "get a nice loop going'... it's "too much" ... in other words, there's probably a sweeter spot between 60-80% where you can "play with the program" until you "find it", then BOP, press a button and just hold the really nice delays that are currently playing back at you. This was possible in early '80s with the Deltalab 1024. It was not a "looper". It was exactly as described. Whatever was in the delay line just continued to play indefinitely once "The Red Button" was pressed. Of course, I have one of those units, and it is noisy as heck (old electronics), and it also has an output issue that is distorting. So, I have been looking for this "Red Button" now, for a little over 40 years. I talk it up at NAMM every time I am there, but alas, to date - no go. Quite amazing. It was done over 40 years ago, and has never been seen since (I've looked, high and low)... Maybe our day will come. Thanks for listening. Peace

      @@PeacelandMusic It’s possible to get the nice loop going at the ratios you’ve described but then sweep an expression pedal up to 100% when you’re happy with the delay. Just a thought.

      @@EventideAudio Worth a try, but would still have to navigate out of the loop to continue playing over it... appreciate the tips! Thank you! Peace

      @PeacelandMusic 7 місяців тому

      @@EventideAudio My experience with "turning up the feedback" has not typically been positive, as the compounding effect of increasing seems to add further "distortion" of varying types into what I had originally "programmed"... (typically not ideal)

    Does the tremolo side also sync to midi clock?

  • @rsover

    Does the pedal have the same features as the ios app?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  3 роки тому +1

      This is based on the same algorithm as the plug-in/app but the UltraTap dot9 pedal also features a feedback knob.

    The honest and real question
    How often will I truly use all these futures?

    • @EventideAudio
      @EventideAudio  2 роки тому +1

      It comes down to your desire for experimentation. UltraTap is an effect that can blur the line between delay and reverb. Like most Eventide effects, this algorithm is meant to take you in novel directions.

    Exemplary instructional video! Speaking voice is clear & evenly paced (nottalkingtoofast!). Well lit pedal components are manipulated clearly in step by step manner. All companies need to do their best to follow this example. Yeah, I bought one after watching this video. Boom.
