Thanks to Eventide for sending me this pedal to make some noises with. You'll notice the "paid promotion" icon on this video for this reason. I was not paid to make this video.
Thanks again for watching and supporting my channel.
Eventide is just amazing. Fantastic and very flexible. Single tap, ewww...yeah! Kept waiting for the lead into some gain after the delay intro to The World You Gave Us! Had to go to Spotify and fix my craving!👍
This is cool! While I have rackmount Eventide gear, I can see the beauty in these "stand alone" units for the guy who just wants that ONE cool sound that he/she really digs. It's really no different that the HUGE 80's racks, where the player used a rack piece for just ONE effect.....the racks were really just big rackmounted "pedalboards" in a lot of cases! Thanks for posting this stuff Leon, these are really cool an informative..... :)
Love that work around the 12 minute mark with the quasi-swells. Reminds me of something Steve Howe would have worked into a classic Yes album.
Leon that track you played at 6:33 was one of the most inspirational and momentous tracks I've ever heard you compose. The tone was epic and note selection was heartfelt. I really think if you ever put together an instrumental album, you should definitely elaborate on this track and put it on such an album.
Thanks man! I appreciate that, and it was fun to put some music I was working on into a demo about a great pedal.
I know im asking the wrong place but does someone know a trick to get back into an instagram account..?
I was dumb forgot the password. I appreciate any tips you can offer me!
@Theodore Omar instablaster :)
Great demo with killer playing, Thanks!
Aargghhh, and slowly I become a collector of Eventide pedals... 😄
Great video! After watching your videos, its come to light in what makes your videos interesting and a sub in my opinion. A) the chops are there B) Charisma is off the charts C) You seem honest in your opinions D) You UNDERSTAND how to use effects and show people how. That last bit about showing people how to use them is why I always return. I would see a preset or option, play it and be like...meh i dont know how I would use that specific parameter. You go in use it correctly and it then makes sense. Thank you for everything Leon, youre awesome dood!
I appreciate thaat, and point D) is exactly what i'm aiming to do!
Great demo as always Leon!
Thanks again!
Eventide's pedal game is strong!
Yeah, I prefer these pedals over the H9. And hey, you can choose. If you've got an awesome ambient reverb already somehow, but need an ambient delay like this, you can get exactly what you need for much less.
Good morning from Florida - perfect start to the day; hearing some killer tones!
🤘😎🤘
Warming up down there?
@@LeonTodd beautiful time of year - no complaints!
Good morning Leon! Nice pedal, I like it! Well done Brother and thanks for sharing! Due to current events
Another fabulous job with this video. It seems to me the addition of the feedback control on this version leaves the H9 version in the dust.
Thanks so much for all the Info and different yet amazing perspectives
Glad you enjoyed it!
Pretty cool pedal! (You have a new furry little companion)!
There are some crazy delays in that box just like the H-3000's have
Good video, thanks for posting!
Wicked tones indeed, nice demo and thanks for sharing,.. appreciate your videos.. Love your killer solos thank you!
Thanks for taking the time to check it out mate!
Master of your craft! Thanks for the video!!
My pleasure!
Leon, love the video's brother! If money is no object and I want to get crazy in the rack game do I just go Eventide Eclipse?
Great demo.
I understand that these pedals are ideal for another more ambient style, but how does it work for playing metal? That is, play with Distortion and use this pedal for solos? it is convenient?
Sounds like YES at 12:00.
Due to current events, Sevendust
" Black" is on my playlist! Be Well All!
Sorry to hear that mate. GREAT song nonetheless.
I love your reviews and 5 minute tones format! It led me to finding a delay I really like - the NUX Atlantic (based on your review of the Duotime). That made me wonder something though. Outside of demos, when you are recording tracks, like for Ragdoll, do you record your tracks with effects like delay in stereo, or do you record them more dry and add the effects in post?
Glad you like them!
I normally cut most stuff dry BUT if I do record effected stereo tracks I'll also record a dry version as well "just in case"
For texture and sound quality: Strymon dig or this guy?
Also great playing and great presentation!
If you need a bunch of tasty "standard" delays, DIG. If you want really wild stuff, this.
@@LeonTodd Thanks for the reply!
Hey Boss. How 'bout a "whats on my pedalboard/and why" video? Cat in background! Best Regards
It should be noted that this is not a multi tap delay in the truest or traditional definition. This is just a bunch of delays that can be manipulated in new ways but a multi tap sounds much smoother and richer than this design. With a traditional multi tap set up you have true control over each delays
volume, time, tone and mix.
These do not perform the main trick one would expect if they’ve had any prior experience with a multi tap delay.

Hi,
You had also demoed the eventide rose. I was wondering if you can only have 1 delay for lead guitar which will be the one you choose? Between eventide ultratap and eventide rose.
In a stereo rig - Ultratap. In a mono rig, or if I wanted to do sound on sound/looping stuff - Rose.
Isn't multi-tapping something that all advanced delay pedals and racks can do?
Im also watching futurama right now lol!
Slurm!!
5 Killa toanz. 1 Killa kitteh
Can the Eclipse do everything this pedal can, or does the pedal have extended Ultratap functionality?
This has feedback which IIRC the eclipse and H9 lack on the uktratap algo
@@LeonToddRight you are.. thanks for setting me straight!
I want to buy it but I have some doubts about how to connect it perfectly I have 6505 and t headrush for the effect loop, how could I connect them? Thanks
Is that the best digital delay pedal?
Why is this better for some that the H9?
This or Dig? Argh!!
DIG is more tame... UltraTap seems to offer more... Sound is different, though. Which sentiment you like more. I have a DIG and I find myself wanting this UltraTap, too... Then again, I'm sick. I even have a Red Panda Particle 2. I just think UltraTap can cover the ground Particle 2 + DIG cover.
@@oldnikix am I right in saying the Dig is proper dual delay and the ultratap isn't?
@@Danthehorse DIG is a unique dual delay. UltraTap and other multi-head/tap delays such as Maxon AD-999 Pro can do that sort of thing, but are executed differently... They're all just tools. It's how you use them. UltraTap has a different enough sound to justify owning it and the DIG. They really do have very different sonic characteristics.
