He said "this is the kinda shit you have to do to sound interesting as a guitar player when there is already 70 years of people being good at that" and I subscribed.
sold. someone at strymon give this man a commission. or more pedals
full disclosure, it's probably gonna be more pedals. thanks for checking out the video dude
this is the only demo I've seen of the nightsky that focuses on the musicality instead of just sounds, it's just great!
thank you. as much as I love pedals, I feel like they're pointless unless you're using them to do something bigger, and i try to make these videos in that spirit
@@CyberattackWorld Mate you got some Western Swing down... great playing.
Reverb in the key of god was one of the most beautiful things I’ve ever heard.
Well done. Thank you for taking the time. "Reverb in the key of God" sounds like the hallowed "hallelujah" jeff B tone. Really dig all of the tips and a special thanks for putting illustrations of the knobs and buttons so that those of us who might like to recreate these tones can do so readily.
Best Demo of the NightSky so far.
thanks. i went back and forth about whether i should ignore the "sequencer" part of the pedal, but in the end i decided the other stuff was cooler
Great job, love the video style. Keep up the good work man!
You're an instant legend man! Not only is the contents epic, but the visuals are the best I've seen since Jexus insane synth demos.
"When the World is Running Down" = Impressive. You did a Fantastic job with this. Enjoyed it. Rhett Shull brought me here. oNe LovE from NYC
Just got this pedal. Thank you for your contribution
Want one now! Sounds lush & would add a whole new dimension to home recording! THANX for content dude ; )
First vid of a night sky that made me want a night sky. Amazing demo. Love your work, and also you’re a wicked good guitar player to boot 👏
thanks man. having had the NightSky for however long it's been since this video came out, I can tell ya that I've really come to appreciate how good it sounds doing "normal" reverb on top of everything else. Like if you ignore the pitch stuff entirely, it still sounds amazing. Just FWIW.
Thanks man! I already knew my nightsky was powerful and weird, but you took it a (big) step beyond!
Just want to say I dialed in reverb in the key of god this morning on my night sky from your settings. Very inspiring tone, hard to sound bad really. So thanks a lot
The pitch shift thing is awesome dude... subscribed. I love how you describe your mindset when going after these settings
love coming back to these, super usefull stuff
Finally got one of these, and was very excited to see you'd made a video on them. I feel like I'm never being sold on a pedal, and rather like I'm chilling with a friend talking about their creative process. It's what I want out of the YT music community.
Amazing sounds, thanks!
Dude!! Killed it yet again !! Congrats! Can t wait for those mobious pro tips too!! Also u a f*** master on guitar 🤟🏻🤟🏻
That is the best Digital Audio Workstation I have ever seen! >> Killer video!!!
thank you for recognizing the digital audio workstation, without it i am nothing
Absolutely the best video demonstrating the capabilities of this pedal. Well done!
I think you might have nailed the Jeff Buckley Hallelujah reverb there.
Seriously dank video editing. Loved it.
thanks, a lot of the crazy visuals are lifted from my music videos, which are also on this channel if you want a narcotic-level dose of dank editing
Watched this once last week and then Rhett Shull sent me back for another visit. Even better the second time through. Your visuals are awesome too. Probably not my last time watching this.
Wow, great demonstration of the pedal, and you picked just the right song for the "Reverb in the key of God". Had chills when I realized it was just what I was hoping for... as that song always gives me the chills! Great video!
The fact you add animated action figures into your videos makes somone like me (Marvel Legends collector) relate even more to your videos. I love it!
Thanks dude. Welcome to this weird little world I’m trying to create
dude i just bought this pedal and you are a f*****ng genius
Great demo... nice re-harm on the "Last Train Home". Put a big smile on my face.
Loved the pedal. Loved the playing.
This channel kicks ass.
Your videos are fucking awesome and critically underrated. The habit pro tips video is one of the only useful vids about the habit on this site.
Cool! Love the Metheny at the end
The best pedal channel on the internet. Thank you, Cyberattack 🙏 My wallet won’t thank you, but screw that guy.
Wow man! Artistic review! Briliant
The sounds are incredible, but dude, the video editing. HOW?! It’s perfect
thanks dude. a lot of the video tricks are actually assets I'm reusing from my music videos. I have a short video about how I do a lot of that stuff (on the music-video side) if you want to begin the deep dive: ua-cam.com/video/-fCn7xeRoa8/v-deo.html thanks for the sub
Amazing video, thanks.
So great!
Excellent, and super helpful, stuff! Thanks a lot! I am getting closer to start seriously thinking of getting this. (Strymon should hire you if they want to show that one can use their pedals creatively :-) )
That was excellent.
The playing clips are exquisite...love it. Going to get one of these spicy little bastards tomorrow.
What a great video
Love the dancing action figure. It made me laugh. Nice video!
really impressive!
Came here because of Rhett, stayed because of you, bought a NightSky soon as the video ended. Subscribed.
Amazing!!! Love!!!!!
Random clicked this video and found very pleasant ear with "Last train home" on last pro tip 😊
AMAZING!!
This made the decision between a big sky and a night sky a lot easier
Just got my Night Sky and this video was a huge help in getting sounds. I just spent an hour trying to learn the tune to your resampled setting, i would buy it if you released it!!! So catchy!
thanks dude, the song actually has been released! It's called Invincible. Arrangement is different but check it out: cyberattack.bandcamp.com/track/invincible
@@CyberattackWorld is that live stream where you sent funny emails to people on UA-cam? I wanted to rewatch it ^^
@@Nicholas-Santiago oh man, that's amazing. To answer your question, I take those videos down to edit out people's email addresses, and then I repost them over here: ua-cam.com/channels/JXuKecsnYyKrgMchrUOexA.html
@@Nicholas-Santiago you may also want to spend some time over here: emailpro.email/
Holy crap dude. I came for the Strymon but stayed for the awesome video and examples you’ve put together. Don’t know how you have a NightSky, don’t care. Looking forward to checking out your other videos. Well done.
thanks man, i have a very similar video for the TimeLine, you might wanna start with that: ua-cam.com/video/ilB3VxDd_5c/v-deo.html
If I was on the fence about buying this pedal, I certainly am not now 😂Great video!
Great cinematography! Takes me back pre-pandemic! Demo is superb. More please...phaser?
thanks man. i have more coming, but in the meantime don't miss my video about the Strymon Timeline, very similar tricks (and visuals): ua-cam.com/video/ilB3VxDd_5c/v-deo.html
Holy shit, that slapback tone is gorgeous.
thanks i feel like the slapback tone is an underrated feature of this pedal
pure class
Randy Rhoads 😊 Great video ✌
Key of God - that was super sweet
I would advocate yes, that shit is worth it to sound interesting. Great demo
Such a cool video
Good Playing😎👍
Would love to hear this pedal on some synths ... but dude ... you killed it on guitar!
thanks. to be honest, when i think about using this with synths, it's almost too much
Came here ‘cuz of Shull - wow …. Finally got some great tips on my sky pedal which I can actually use.
Man, I just got this pedal and I will likely try and use everyone of these patches you created. Incredible job. Do you think you’ll make a video about the sequencer?
To be honest, the sequencer part of it is something I haven't been able to get into so far. I might be wrong, but my hunch is that using the NS sequencer sounds bonkers and cool, but it also sounds very much like you're using the NS sequencer-the type of sound that will live in everyone's mind as being associated with a specific product. I have similar feelings about the EQD Rainbow Machine, for instance: very cool, but very recognizable as this one particular pedal. So part of why I didn't get into the sequencer in this video is that I felt like I couldn't really top Strymon's demonstration of it, and also because what I'm trying to do with these videos, generally, is to find sounds that are not instantly recognizable as belonging to the pedal I'm talking about. However, all of this is still my first impression of the NS, and I may be underestimating the versatility and range of its sequencer stuff. It's totally possible that people will find ways to use it that sound unique and different-to be honest, I didn't spend as much time as I could have searching for that. Early on, I got swept up in other uses for this pedal, and that became what the video was about.
This new synthverb idea is breaking new ground and space without a doubt. I scrimped and saved so hard for my Volante'- and Strymon does it again. Glad to buy the best from an American company.
Nice Metheny cover at the end.
You absolutely killed this. Amazing job on these sounds.
whoa thanks man
Do a collab. He deserves the bump. I’ve written two songs off these and the Timeline tips.
@@livefromthepsy-op1170 obviously i would be all for this
See rhett, you can use it musically
Thanks for the link Rhett
