a fav, on a fav lp, love the beauty & energy of this infectious piece. akkerman's layered, texture stuff gives my brain meaty data to absorb. the lush guitar, & soaring string arrangement make me feel like i'm having a york peppermint pattie. LOL.... could listen anytime: great on a spring morning, w/ my coffee. works for a weekend drive, & perfect for a winter evening by the fireplace. just love this man's work.
Jan. If you gave lessons...I would give you my soul to be where you are. A HUGE thanks for all that you are & have done. Also nice to know ur happy now.
Jan Akkerman - guitars, Joachim Kühn - keyboards, Cees van der Laarse - bass, Bruno Castelucci - drums, Pierre van der Linden - drums on 'Floatin'', Neppie Noya - percussion.
Have almost finished building time machine to introduce Jan Akkerman to Jaco Pastorius and record all the masters they jam together on. When done, I'll bring the masters to 2014, re-open and play them, and our brains will explode.
Wow so its real. This guy is a dutch homeless guy. Who recently diedt. Afther they found this guys backstory. He seems to be a famous boxer and later makeing music before becomeing addict and losed it all later inlife he called himzelf jacky pakuta
never gets old. it was too ahead of its time in 1977. everybody was into more commercial sounding George Benson back then
PhuckHue2 so agree.. 1977....ahead of its time...never gets old..but ...listening now...it's still ahead of anything else even today...totally awesome
This album is so good. Words can't describe it. Thanks

I talked with Jan when Jaco's first record came out. "I don't find him very melodic", he said... I was astounded.
