A “mistake” is putting sugar on your chips or salt in your coffee not Violating a beautiful innocent 8 year old baby after snatching her from the security and safety of her home and leaving her for dead.
People like that should be put to death after spending 80 years in prison
Perfectly worded, exactly this
That vile POS. After what he did to her….
Yes! As soon as he said My whole life has been fucked up bc of “my mistake”, I went all the way off! She isn’t YOUR anything, and that was not a mistake, it was a horrendous crime against an innocent, beautiful CHILD!!
Yeah, exactly!!!
Imagine being 8 years old and having the instinct to play dead. What she went through is incomprehensible. She is a survivor and a warrior.
What a strong girl, you are amazing!!!
I used to box, and I would say that certain people have better fighting instincts than others, and it shows in daily life. I'm not saying this is an individual who should take up boxing, but she clearly, at a young age, had a presence of mind to think clearly under unimaginable stress. That's something than can help in any walk of life.
@@ccali327 it’s a good quality in a solder too
I get defensive about the do not comply, but only because I played dead too, and I lived. I learned that from my experience with domestic violence as a lil kid. But no matter what advice, someone will have a reaction that may result in life or death...
i swear to god this girl is a hero. hero in my eyes. i was 31 and i didn't fight back. i was weak, i still am. but i hope she turned her life into helping other people to rise and develop similar instincts... in my country domestic abuse is so big that domestic homoside is bigger than anywhere in europe. keep in mind we barely have 2 mil of people in the country. i am alive and i try to rise up awareness on this matter. but we r so so far away from other countries.
The sketch next to Dennis' driving licence blew my mind! Jennifer's recollection of what his face looked like, and the sketch artists skill to create a face from description alone is incredible
I agree on how Jennifer’s recollection is cool. But the sketch artist nah all sketch artists for crime are that good at drawing.
yeah, if you look at a lot of sketches... they aren't very good, and this was a child working on obstructed views and a memory and voice damaged by a vicious assault. He was young when he was caught too (39). He could have kept this up for decades. Who knows how many people she saved.
a pure miracle wow what a dreadful story this girl grew in to a true hero love from Adelaide australia
@@ionknowbru8373 sorry but, that’s 100% NOT true!! There are some pretty crappy sketch artists out there. I’ve seen cases (more than 1) on TV where victims say thy told the artist things were drawn wrong & such!! Not ALL are great.
@@virginiamonroe5360 oh I’m sorry
You're so right, Emma. When he broke down during his confession, all I could think was, "If you really felt guilt and remorse about what you had done, why didn't you turn yourself in and take your punishment?" He was a deeply flawed person and when I saw that his gravestone had the word "Son" on it, I wondered how much that parent had contributed to his lack of character and deviant nature...and recognized his flaws and did nothing. It is thrilling to learn about a truly heroic survivor like Jennifer! May she have nothing but blessings beyond her wildest expectations for the rest of her long life.
Yeah, if you look at feral humans, you realize they take on the characteristics of the animals that raise them. Humans will walk on all fours and bark if raised by a dog. Although genetic predispositions can push things one way or the other, much of human development is learned. People don't healthily choose to behave this way, so who knows what horror he faced growing up. I'm not saying he should get any sort of pass. He should be held completely accountable for everything, but true empathy extends to all types. While not definite, I would say it's pretty likely this person had a horrible upbringing and much of this negativity was sown during a period he had little agency.
Poor, neglectful parenting can ruin many lives. Aside from his, you have to think every victim, their family and friends who were negatively affected by losing the person or having to deal with the negative consequences of the assault. That has a compounding effect that can easily ruin the lives of a hundred or more people. This is why I hate when people take a cavalier attitude toward parenting or have kids for more selfish reasons... there is no telling what sort of societal harm can be done.
@@ccali327 I agree with you. Many parents are clueless as to how their ineptitude, lack of insight, myopia, emotionalism, and selfish inability to put their child's needs ahead of their own can cause so much developmental and emotional harm. Raising a child is a life-altering lifelong commitment replete with sacrifice and joy if you care enough to do it right.
Jennifer talking when she’s refused a chocolate bar is such a mood, what a little legend
I appreciate this update and to learn that she's thriving despite him. I feel like the universe did so many things to save her, she's obviously a special soul
You are honestly, THE BEST on YT for investigating and discussing True Crime. 👏🏼 I have watched nearly all of these UA-camrs (some great, some not so good< my opinion) and you are genuinely amazing at your job‼️. On top of that you carry out your work with such professionalism, empathy and compassion. Having recently 'found you', I am working my way through your older videos. Your video about Susan Kuhnhausen, was just wow, the way you tell a story, share all the facts, the way your eyes connect through the screen, its like you are talking directly at me!!!! NO one does this job the way you do it, its most certainly your USP! Thats why I only choose to support ONLY you on patreon ❤️💯🥰
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻 she does appreciate a good ass licking. Well done Helen 👍🏼
I couldn't Agree more
Yes! Well said. Totally agree
The Disturbing Truth is another great channel that goes above & beyond
I agree & she's gorgeous aswell 😍 ❤
She provided his name, helps them create a drawing that looks almost exactly like his drivers license, the color of his car, what kind of beer he drinks, what kind of cigarettes he smokes. How did nobody on the news recognize him, how did the police not find him sooner? Bless you Jennifer!!!
I've never heard of this case. So upsetting and inspiring. Thank you Emma for the amazing and caring delivery ❤️ you are the best True Crime UA-camr!
That very kind of you to say Steph xx
I couldn't contain my tears while listening to this horrific story of Jennifer Schuett, but I also couldn't contain my shouts of joy that she survived. She not only survived, but she did it fighting and becoming a strong and lovely young woman who was able to have a wonderful life with a husband and children - Jennifer, you are my HERO!!! Thank you Emma for sharing this sad but also inspiring story of courage and the will to conquer.
I’m literally bawling from this case. She is SO STRONG.
Thank you for sharing this case. Your intro so makes sense now. As a consistent viewer and consumer of true crime, a person can't help but be left with a sadness after hearing many stories. It is really nice to hear a survivor story, and SUCH a strong survivor. Thank you. What an amazing woman!
I had never heard of this case. What a warrior! I hate that she didn’t get her ultimate moment in front of him as a living, breathing monster, but I’m so amazed by her strength. ♥️
This broke my heart. I was left unfirtle, but adopted the most beautiful 2 girls. Still it hurts so much. She is a hero! If she can be successful after that horrible attack, then there's hope for all survivors. Thank you Emma xxx
Emma I simply love the way you tell these people's stories. You have so much empathy and compassion and this is what sets you apart from others. Yet again a very emotional story but what an absolute hero Jennifer is. Wow. So glad she is living a good life she deserves every second. ❤️
I’ve never heard about Jennifer’s Case. Thank you Emma for telling her story in such a beautiful, respectful, & loving way. I’m getting choked up 😭. You’re one of my favorite channels. I absolutely LOVE how you treat each case & the victim’s story with respect, with care, & love. You put a lot of hours into researching & making each video.
This is the most heartwarming case I have ever heard of! It brought me to tears a few times. And your words are so compassionate, it makes it so much more impactful.
Thank you so much for your dedication and commitment to researching and retelling these incredible cases!!
Omg that poor child, but as you say what a Warrior. Thank you for bringing all of the stories to us the public. You are a truly brilliant story teller. Keep going and bringing fabulous content 🙌
Bless Jennifer, and those who saved her life, and brought her a measure of justice. Thank you for bringing her story to us, in depth. May Jennifer continue to help others find their voice, and justice.
I had heard her story before, but your telling wad, ad always, excellent. She was such an amazing child, it blows my mind how she was able to not only survive this traumatic event but give such incredible detail via writing. I doubt I could do that as an adult!! I had no sympathy for him, crying like the pathetic weasel he was and only able to succeed in suicide when his life was pretty much over. If he was that sorry he'd have faced his punishment and done his time.
Jennifer is amazing and such an inspiration, I can't think of a better ending to such a horrid event than her doing so well in spite of what happened.
Thanks Emma for doing this. I heard her tell her story on episode of “I survived”. You seem to go into greater detail and I really like that. Thanks again Emma.
She actually went to his grave and gave her impact statement there.
This woman is an absolute inspiration, I also had icsi/ivf to conceive my son so I can empathise how difficult that alone is, we need more women like her she’s living proof to never give up..what a special soul Thankyou em for covering this 💕
How she describes everything that happened to her is absolutely amazing. I hope her life is beautiful
Omg her poor, poor mum! Can you imagine the guilt from that one off normal decision.
WOW! What a kid! So glad she survived! I'm only half way through but I really hope she went on to have the best life! Such a fighter and inspiration
You kept repeating “she was 8” and I needed to be reminded each and every time you said it. You think that things like this don’t happen to children but they do. What a warrior! Thank you!
Emma you truly did this case justice. I love your empathy towards the victims and can feel that you truly feel humbled with this one. Well done!
Hooray for that policeman and what an incredible little girl, she certainly was brilliant and definitely meant to survive. Thanks Emma
I watch every single one of your videos but your cases where they survive absolutely have me on the edge of my seat
I was so happy when I found your channel always enjoyed watching you on TV on Britain's darkest taboos ect this is even better because of the time and research you do for the cases you cover is amazing and the in depth coverage you give us is second to none. Although I enjoy other true crime youtubers, you are by far my favourite xxx
You really did her justice, Emma, what and incredible person Jennifer is. You are looking fabulous .
Powerful stuff, Emma!
What an extraordinary young lady Jennifer was, and is. This time I was driven to tears of joy....and relief.
Thank god for this little girls strength! This was a tough one to watch, I cried listening to what that little angel went through. Amazingly done Emma as always 🥰
Have not heard this story before but wow what an amazing little girl and then growing into an amazing woman, devastating that she didn't get the justice she deserved but glad she was able to go on and have children and is now doing so much good in her life, thanks so much Emma another great dive into this case
Tragic and beautiful! Your portrayal, honesty and encouragement to victims is outstanding as always. Never miss you Emma x
Janette Althouse
I literally just watched her on I Survived... And I actually wanted to know more about her case. So, I am so glad you are covering this case.
What a brave strong little girl, I’m so glad she survived it’s a really sad but nice case because she lived to find her attacker , thank you Emma see you on Sunday 😘😘
I’m going back to uni in October, changed my degree from law to psychology, I plan to eventually do my masters in forensic psychology!
I plan to work within prisons.
Emma, I hope one day I can be as great as you I really do you are my absolute inspiration x
Truly the best true crime UA-camr. You need your own show on Netflix…can we get a petition onto Netflix or something??
Never say never 😉 xx
who said never?! that's rude.
Its just an expression,jeez 🙄🙄@@hellaSwankkyToo
Goosebumps, Emma. This woman is a true warrior ❤️
Incredible story, incredible little girl. I'm so glad you did a story with a happy ending! More stories like this, please!
Looking forward to this one - seen it covered elsewhere, but Emma covers everything so well - had previously wondered if there was a connection to the Amber Hagerman case, but wow! Looking at that thumbnail, they could have been sisters! What are the chances of two similar crimes occurring in the same state involving two young girls of similar age who were strikingly similar & it not being one single individual?
You're right! They could be sisters!
Anyone who hurts a child should be on death row, That precious little girl is a fighter. Bless her heart. Such a inspirational story of survival. Jennifer is a hero in my eyes.
As always Emma the level of compassion and the ability to tell their story is phenomenal thank you
i love deep dive true crime content, and you are the gal for it deffo, thankyou for uploading the vids, and please take care of yourself while recovering from surgery xx lots of love to you xx
You are very lovely Anne xx
@@EmmaKennyTV you are too :) xx i got loads to get through your videos xx
Thanks so much for this, Emma!!! Really inspiring story, how she overcame it all and has used her experience for good. Love your channel!!!!
What an amazing case, thanks Emma you did justice but also gave us all courage to never give up no matter what age 🙏❤️💯
Excellent covering of this amazing woman's journey Emma. I have been listening to you for ages now, but this case was the most emotional for me. Thank you for your heart and compassion 🙌
Never had so many goosebumps watching a true crime story before! Wow Jennifer is one strong girl/woman!
Hi Emma! I just recently found your content and I'm addicted. Though I don't always agree with you on everything, I absolutely adore you. Thank you for your in depth research and dedication, but most of all for your compassion.
Could you please cover the case of Colleen Stan? She's another incredible survivor.
Colleen Stan is on in the next couple of weeks. Already filmed and it’s sitting ready on my UA-cam studio backend 😉🎥 xx
8 is such an emotional age, that’s the extent of my memory when I became semi aware of the world
Every now and a gain a gift of a little girl with a shing light makes our world a better place by giving us hope and the courage to carry on .I love this girl . Don't want to stain her life again by mentioning that freaks name . Thankyou Emma your amazing ❤
She reminds me of the girl, Sayeh, that I just watched you cover recently. She also showed such amazing strength and cool-headed thinking that saved her from a perverted predator and helped bring him to justice. Thank you for shining light on these dark places. Victims need a voice (which you so graciously and eloquently provide for them) Your insights and commentaries bring empathy and compassion to your stories, yet you also show how they affect you emotionally. That authenticity and, sometimes, rawness are what make you such a compelling host. Admittedly, I can't get through some of these videos; they're just too brutal. That said, it's really nice to see when some are able to thrive in defiance of the horrors someone inflicted upon them. So thank you again for doing this hard work. You bring the most well-rounded content I've watched on YT true crime, and it's much appreciated.
Jennifer is another shero. Stay strong, beautiful girl!
What an incredible girl and the amazing woman she's become. What a powerful story & Em you told her story beautiful and empowering 💜
Imagine living through such a horrific ordeal and surviving and giving police every possible detail of what happened to catch the person that did it to you and it still takes 19 years to catch him and then for him to end up hangin himself before he could be held accountable. If he was that remorseful about what he done to that little girl, he would have turned himself in or done away with himself a long time ago. This man lived 19 years of his life thinking he got away with this brutality.
I am blown away by this woman. As a survivor myself, of probably less than 1/10th of what she went through, Jennifer is my new hero. A survivor, a warrior, a mother, an advocate, a speaker. She is so, so incredible, such a beautiful person, a beautiful soul.
Me too! I consider myself a b@d@ss that takes care of business but I'm blown away!
WOW! Emma I love the way you tell a story, honestly I've cried my eyelashes off at every one of them but the hope and warriorship in this one is expertly portrayed by your unique skills and your obvious depth of feeling and empathy and is incredible, skills girl, BRAVO!
The stranger donating to her IVF, so, sooooo wonderful, there are some good people out there, truly. It sounds like she was able to have children on her own though? I didn't follow that part well..... either way, I'm SOOOOO happy for her 🫂💜🫂
I love hearing a story that doesn't end in death 💜
Honestly best true crime UA-camr. I've been watching true crime documentaries and podcasts for decades but this is the best channel by far
Thanks K Trap !! Such a lovely thing to hear. Em x
I am SO INCREDIBLY PROUD OF JENNIFER!!! She's overcome so much due to her strong, fighting spirit.
WOW... WHAT A LADY!!! Have to say Emma, I don't think I've missed one of your crime stories... You are exceptional!!!
What you said at the end of this story, really hit home to me. Thank you Emma, for your kindness and voice to all those who find themselves faced with these monsters. Huge respect and love to Jennifer in this story and what an inspiration to everyone. X
Hey Emma! This woman is so incredibly strong. This story has stuck w me since I first heard it. Hope you heal super fast ❤️
I'm so happy for her and her mother that she was able to have kids of her own! What an awesome redemption story ❤❤❤
Oh Emma, this story brought me to tears at the end , the way you bring such emotion to your story telling is so powerful. I was so moved. I absolutely love your channel, what you do is incredible ❤️
Jennifer’s memory is amazing. She recalled so many details that most adults would miss. I know I deal with memories of abuse on a daily basis. I am so impressed that this young lady, little girl at the time, has led such a positive life. I have used many substances to try and not remember. I wish I was more like her….
Thank you for your amazing work! All the stories you're telling are incredibly tragic but so important to hear.
An absolutely incredible, strong and beautiful woman is Jennifer! Emma I love how you tell these stories, I had to keep pausing to wipe the tears away xx
Another amazing video emma xx
Thanks Em, missed your vids for a few weeks and I'm binge watching today. x
I’ve just discovered your channel the other day and I am thoroughly enjoying your content. Your videos are very well researched and produced. Please keep up the good work.👍👍😊
This is an incredible incredible story. Thank you Emma for telling it so eloquently. And for the snoring husband comment
Wow! This is just an amazing case, looking forward a lot to Emma's version!
Been missing live chat for a while. Always enjoy your work Emma ✌🙂❤
I've never heard a story being told the way you tell it, a true gem
Thank You Emma 💕 for covering this case 💕
This is my favourite one Emma, I was literally bubbling my eyes out.❤❤❤
I didn't know you had this channel! I'm here for it! I've seen you for years! This case is so incredible...I just watched it on another channel and you were in it☺️
So powerful. Thanks em. Stay safe everyone.
Emma, don’t fret. You look amazing, as always. Thanks for keeping up content, even when down. Many blessings sent your way.
Thank you so much for sharing Jennifer’s story. This was truly moving. What an amazing child who grew into an even more amazing woman.
A mistake is not shutting the freezer properly. A mistake is bumping into someone in the street accidentally. Not what he did that innocent baby. 😭
Your end comments ring so true. After listening to 2 horrific true crimes, both involving the tragic murder of a young child, around Jennifer’s age, I was close to tears. Then your video came up. I was tempted to listen another day but when hubby decided to watch automotive shows all evening, I plugged in to your video. At least I ended the day on a more uplifting story, if that can even be a word to describe this horror.
Thanks so much for your insightful videos - love them all even though the subjects are so macabre. You do the victims great justice.
Fantastic and sensitive coverage of a difficult case 👏
I’m awestruck with the way you have told Jennifer’s story!
Well done Emma. 👏👏👏
Thank you so much for continuing with your investigations even though you've had surgery,,, You're a trooper, much appreciated
Jennifer you are a true warrior. Your courage is astounding. Emma this was a really informative and touching story of courage and justice.
New subscriber here! You are very good at taking us on a journey of discovery. What a horrible case! I had never heard of it. God bless her! What a strong woman.
I have always loved your videos (watched you for years on tv also!) but I am currently in bed with covid and I am so bored I can’t explain how grateful I am for a new upload 👏🏻👏🏻
Sending love x
My first daytime off I get to take you on a hike! Thanks for everything! 🤘🤘⚡
Thanks Em - another great episode xxx
Having to go back to the house where she was snatched from must been utterly traumatic.
Wow!! What an incredible story with a remarkable heroine! And as usual told in a such a vivid , engrossing, detailed and empathic way that only Emma could pull off. ❤
Amazing powerful woman is Jennifer. I'm so happy she has lived a strong, inspiring life and put her horror out there for others to feel like going forward is possible ❤
I love this channel Emma always give you that bit extra that others don’t.
Would love for you to consider doing either the port Arthur killer or the hungerford massacre
This was a great video. I'm used to (hopefully) some form of justice in true crime videos, but this story is so miraculous and Jennifer is such a hero that, even though the crime was horrendous, the culmination of the story is really heart warming. Excellent video!❤❤❤
Looking forward to Emma's insights on this case - such a courageous and determined little girl who is now a strong and caring victim advocate.
Wow. That was absolutely chilling, both good and bad. You are a talented storyteller, what a beautiful job you've done shining light on Jennifer's story.
This is one of the most incredible true crime stories I've EVER heard of! It's just unbelievable, no words for that wonderful and powerful little girl.
