Don't think I've ever been affected by the death of a musician as I have been by Scotts. I saw him when he was just starting out and now that night has more special memories. Godspeed Scott.

I’ve long loved this performance, but I find I come here more and more often to remember him when he was visibly happy. This KEXP presenter managed to bring out a more unguarded and joyful Scott than anyone else in an interview that I can recall. This is the Scott I want to remember dearly going forward.

I discovered FR a little over a year ago and was devastated to hear Scott was no longer with us. I listen to them daily and am still discovering songs. I love Scott and hope he found the peace he so desperately needed. RIP Scott. You will forever live in our hearts 💕

I found frightened rabbit from a song that was on a playlist where I worked. Just found out Scott died in 2018. Seemed like such a lovely guy. Very sad. RIP Scott

OMG - at the 15.00 minute mark he starts to talk about the pressures of being a performer, and it's so sad that his management and the others who's job it was to help him didn't properly understand the vulnerable talent he had.

People with very high anxiety, that have learned to hide it socially, are always tense and will constantly read the other person to affirm that they're doing OK in the exchange. He's making sure that he isn't acting too wierd. 1 on 1 is easier. Many people at once is extremely difficult. ... I heard this..from a friend...sorry if my comment is wierd..

He explains in the interview why he needed to record this album with a bit more space, rather than a massive departure from Frightened Rabbit.

No I understand where you are coming from. But in his defence he's an artist and he's free to create music that he sees fit. He doesn't necessarily have to make music that's a huge departure just because people expect him to or because that is the norm for a solo project. He can make whatever kind of music he chooses to. But that's my opinion on the matter.
