    So, this was the all-black-cast variety show of the 50's, maybe not the most typical of that era, but I noticed there were no streotypes whatsoever. Uniquely African-American and universally themed at the same time. I particularly liked the singing duo Connie Carrol & "Hot lips" Page , they were great.

    A mambo was like a shaman when possed by the spirits orishas they would dance each orisha has their own dance styles and instruments they like best. REST IN POWER AUNTIE MADELINE ( THE QUEEN OF MAMBO)

    They are all black, and struggled as one people together. Having said that, I liked the highlighting of Afro-Cuban/Afro-Latino culture.
