not so much DPF but i am very interested in diagnostics, training courses cost a real fortune, so i would like to say thank you for the knowledge you have imparted to me. anyone can buy a expensive scan tool but unless you know what you are looking for its just a waste.... thanks mate
The question is, has this owner had good value for money? Answer is NO. This sounds like the kind of van that could bring a tradesman to his knees. Down time and expense. Shame on the Renault dealer.
@ORileysAutos Hi Jimmy I wonder if you could answer a question for an old Scouse Git 😂😊. On a Toyota Auris 2013 1.4d is there anyway of getting it to do a Regen ? without a very expensive Scan Tool. I've never ever seen the Regen light come on in over 5 years and 130,000 miles. Makes me wonder if it actually works although I do make sure it has a good blast up the Motorway at least once a week.
My van is identical. Same model, year colour etc. it’s currently in JCB Rainham a Renault garage. Where it’s been for weeks. It has about 20 miles left on the “check antipollution” on the dashboard. They literally have no clue what they’re doing. They was supposed to open a case with Renault technical over a week ago. Still haven’t done that. I explained to them a year ago it had the same fault. And eventually they replaced to adblue module. But because of my complaint. They have just left it and done nothing. And my protestations are falling on deaf ears. Now it’s a war of attrition. As a sole trader who fits bathrooms. I’ve had no van for 3 weeks now
Love your work Jimmy. I bought a 2014 Delica D5 a year ago. Your channel has helped me understand how the pollution gear works 🙏🏼 Does oil specs / mid saps / low saps play a part in DPF blocking ?? My engine is 4N14. No issues yet at 125 K. Just trying put appropriate oil in ... 🥴🙏🏼
If these engines were already pushed to the limits using turbos and restricted emissions systems, now imagine throwing to the mix wet belts, especially in large commercial vans.
I spent £500+ on fuel additives & cleaning fluids. New DPF was only £750 on a Renault Master 2019, £80 fitting. Driven for 2 weeks, 1.56% oil dilution after 2400 miles. 0.56 this week. You can’t turn back time.
Does getting soot on the SCR catalyst mean it has to be replaced (as you said at the end). Is cleaning not sufficient, or does the soot permanently damage the SCR catalyst? If the latter is true doesn't that mean that you have to replace the SCR every time you need a new DPF, or does it depend how long it's been letting soot through?
They surely had more than enough time, at the dealership, to completely screw the DPF, catalyst and urea system, on a low mileage vehycle. The level of incompetence is staggering!
If those that are deemed to be experts that you have paid to rectify a fault but cannot do so and what they've done doesn't cure that fault you are then entitled to your money back, pay on credit cards and any issues with getting a refund then claim back via a section 75 👍
@@Mr4fksake Problem with that is many people have no clue about cars and go by what's said by the garages and as we know they tend to stretch the truth
Hi sir Another great job. Need help. Mazda 5 2.0 diesel. I have DTC 2459-ff. On idle differential pressure is around 10-12 mbar and et 3500rpm is over 95 mbar?
Hi matey. I used to own a mazda 5 mini van . 7 seater 2.0 diesel. I had dpf issues all the time. It used to struggle to move anywhere! I got rid in the end. Underneth its a focus im sure. So you might be able to cross refrence info with the ford cmax
Hello, my Renault espace 2015 1.6 twin turbo has error code DF569 Boost pressure circuit, turbocharging pressure is too high. I have already been to several workshops where the turbos, the exhaust gas pressure sensor and the pipe were cleaned, but the car still has no power. Can you give any advice on what else should be checked?
i used to have a garage, if i did a job, replaced parts etc and it didnt cure the problem, i had to swallow it. i cant see how a main dealer can charge the customer loads of money and not cure the fault ?
Its a good day when the doctor of DPF's posts a video.

Frightening service prices, thanks to your video, I plucked up the courage & did an oil & filter change on my 2018 Belingo,
Thanks !
Glad it helped

That poor guy has spent a fortune at a Renault dealership, really feel for him.
That was one expensive wash and oil change though 🤔

Absolutely brilliant video! Thanks buddy. Cleared up some previous questions I had.
Great video Jimmy. Wonder where trading standards are with all these main dealers.
Always give your vehicle a good thrash through the gears every now and then, cleans the whole system and helps it to run better ! 👍😀
Tea belly like me keep up the good work 👍🏾
Thank you, I will
Great job 👍
Thanks 👍

Sold my car. I'll never buy a diesel ever again. Just using my bike now. No point owning a car if one lives in left-wing Cambridge.
Cambridge is so anti-car it's ridiculous 😢
As an armchair expert my guess is multiple forced re gens have killed the DPF 😅
Holy moly! Those prices

Another main dealer balls up, when will people learn. Now get all that shit cut out and mapped out, trouble free motoring for years 👌
Until it gets detected 😉

Contamination of the oil from forced regeneration stopped prematurely, unburnt diesel dumped into the oil ?
All in the name of the bankster's to save the planet.

I've seen vids of dpf and cat cleaning, does that actually work?
Hi Jimmy, please could you tell me if I block the EGR valve, it will help the DPF filter not get dirty so fast?

Stop doing forced regens people, especially when the soot load is high!!!!
