Hi Thank you for your aptly explanation on English usage. I was wondering if I can say " what does it mean by "a word"?" as well.
You're very welcome!
In regards to your question, the phrase I would use is: "What do [you] mean by [x]?"
This is a great question to get the definition of a word from your teacher, or anyone! Hope that helps!
Great
Thanks for watching!
If I had watched this most useful video before I could have been a nice student.
It's never too late! These questions can help you at all levels of English, from beginner to advanced!
Thanks
Kat, gosto muito dos seus vídeos e seu método de ensino.
Já assisti a todos os seus vídeos solo, acredito, porque meu intuito é o inglês americano.
Se fugir do seu projeto é, se possível , gostaria que gravasse mais vídeos sozinha. Se tem um melhor aproveitamento pois foca no objetivo de quem estuda inglês americano. Obrigado.
We have lots of American videos in the intermediate section! I hope you enjoy them :)
I loved the last part of your video the Q n A,,hope more pls,,,thank you
Sounds good! We'll hope to have more Q&A in the future thanks for joining us in class today!

Thank you for the lesson...btw, epitome is a Greek word, 'επιτομή'....

good evening.GOD bless you both for all you're doing for us. Can i say that ?
Yes you can! Thanks for joining us in class today 😌
Amazing question tips. I am often used to say mistakenly that Can you say that again and Could you say that again.
We're really glad it helped! Once you get confident with these questions, you will be asking them all the time ;)
I am always waiting for your new episode waht happened ma’am and sir i hopefully and your gives us as soon possible I am big of yours 🥺
Hello! We'll be back to with a new episode this week!
I could have learned a lot from this vedio if had enough time to study or watched. Im a little busy from work.
Even if you watch in just 5 minute chunks, it will still be great for your English!
Could you give me more sentences structured? My sentences usually start with I don't, I can.
For me, was a little bit difficult to learn the difference between " wonder" and "Ask" is funny to remember my mistake at that moment when I needed to use "wonder" instead of "ask"
That's a good example! You could definitely ask your teacher: "What's the difference between 'wonder' and 'ask'? Is it the same thing?"
Ilike yu good mind love yu
Thanks for watching!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thanks for watching!
Is pdf file free for everyone
Yes! You can get it in the description and here: www.highlevellistening.com/wp-content/uploads/2024/04/English-Questions-Cheat-Sheet-2.pdf
"Can I say", or "May I say", or "Could I say"? Which is the difference between them? Thank you
Can is the ability to do something
Could is a more polite version and also the version we use for the future
May is asking permission but we don’t use it as often in casual speaking since it feels like we’re at school when we say “may I”
Hope that helps!
🔝 😍 23:33
Thanks for joining us in class!
I love the way your teaching 😊😊 teacher
Thanks so much! We're glad you like it!"
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤😂
Thanks for watching!
or " could You write it down in the comments?" If you had an online teacher and wanted to ask about the spelling of a word.
Oo great suggestion and great question!
When will I stop being obsessed of ENGLISH ?
The answer is NEVER .
Speaking of which ,
Is my question grammatically correct ?
Almost! The correct grammar would be: "When will I stop being obsessed with English?"
We hope it's never too! 🙏
Can you explain to me ""what do you mean by went over to my friend's house?" not ""what do you mean by going over to my friend's house?"
The idea is to repeat or quote exactly what someone / your teacher just said.
If your teacher said: "So yesterday I went over to my friend's house.."
You could say: "Sorry, what do you mean by 'went over'?"
It's not necessary to change the grammar to make the question. Hope that helps!
@@highlevellistening Oh, I get it now, thanks.
