In today’s episode, we’re not just going to give you English tips-we’re going to equip you with the ultimate set of questions you should be asking your English teacher. Whether you're in a group class, a one-on-one session, or engaging with your teacher on an online platform, these questions are crucial for clarifying doubts, deepening your understanding, and accelerating your progress.
    👩‍🏫 If you’ve ever been puzzled during your English classes, wondering how to articulate your confusion or eager to extract more value from your lessons, we’ve got you covered. With over 20 years of combined teaching experience, Kat and I have identified key questions that significantly improve a student’s grasp of the language. These are the questions that make the difference between just following along and truly mastering English.
    🌐 And guess what? We’ve teamed up with italki, an incredible online language platform with thousands of native English teachers ready to help you enhance your skills. Já assisti a todos os seus vídeos solo, acredito, porque meu intuito é o inglês americano.
    Se fugir do seu projeto é, se possível , gostaria que gravasse mais vídeos sozinha. Se tem um melhor aproveitamento pois foca no objetivo de quem estuda inglês americano. Obrigado.

    For me, was a little bit difficult to learn the difference between " wonder" and "Ask" is funny to remember my mistake at that moment when I needed to use "wonder" instead of "ask"

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  2 місяці тому

    "Can I say", or "May I say", or "Could I say"? Which is the difference between them? Thank you

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  15 днів тому

      Can is the ability to do something
      Could is a more polite version and also the version we use for the future
      May is asking permission but we don’t use it as often in casual speaking since it feels like we’re at school when we say “may I”
      Hope that helps!

    When will I stop being obsessed of ENGLISH ?
    The answer is NEVER .
    Speaking of which ,
    Is my question grammatically correct ?

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  2 місяці тому +1

      Almost! The correct grammar would be: "When will I stop being obsessed with English?"
      We hope it's never too! 🙏

    Can you explain to me ""what do you mean by went over to my friend's house?" not ""what do you mean by going over to my friend's house?"

    • @highlevellistening
      @highlevellistening  Місяць тому +1

      The idea is to repeat or quote exactly what someone / your teacher just said.
      If your teacher said: "So yesterday I went over to my friend's house.."
      You could say: "Sorry, what do you mean by 'went over'?"
      It's not necessary to change the grammar to make the question. Hope that helps!
