In the small talk part, Are you American /British first meet will usually ask them what they work for. It's polite ? 😂

Yesss it is so common for Americans to ask each other what they do, it's part of our identity in American culture, since it's a really important part of our lives, it's quite common to ask "so what do you do? do you like it?" it's very easy small talk and to get to know someone.

Great question! The answer is yes. I often make my students repeat these 3 words to practice the correction pronunciation.
