This is better than trying to read the numbers on the protractor but what are you getting the measurements from to make the markings smaller? From what I can see you just move the compass down and are guesstimating it. That’s not working for me😢.
Yes, I reduce the distance between the needle and the pencil of the compass by eye, this distance is not important, it should be more than half of the distance between the two points where we stick the needle, so that somewhere outside the circle the two marks cross. The important thing when making all the markings is not to change the distance between the pencil and the needle. Thus all the marks will become the same, and you will find half the distance between the previously divided parts of the circle. You can set the compass to a long distance, it doesn't matter, it's just that the two marks will cross at a greater distance outside the circle, but they will cross right in the middle equidistant between the previous points.
