Blues super fan Laila has emotional reunion with players on the ice after Stanley Cup win

- Blues fan Laila Anderson kisses the Stanley Cup with player Colton Parayko. Fox 2 viewers first met Laila Anderson in October 2018. She’d been diagnosed with a life-threatening immune disease disorder called HLH.
The team brought her to Boston for Game 7. She had been an inspiration for the team and a guiding light for fans. After the team's historic win Wednesday night, she had an emotional reunion with her best friend Parayko on the ice. She was then introduced to the Stanley Cup.
Parayko lowered the Stanley Cup for Laila to give it a kiss. Not too many fans get that honor.
"I can't thank the team enough for the love and support," said Laila Anderson.
With the help of Be the Match, Laila found a donor and had a bone marrow transplant in January. She was able to ring the bell at St. Louis Children's Hospital, signifying 100 days since her transplant.
Through her journey, one thing has kept her motivated, and that is her love of the St. Louis Blues.
Parayko is a true class act. He gave this kid the best moment in her life.
Second best. Her doctors gave her the best moment😉
Way to represent Alberta Colton.
We couldn't agree more! 💙💚-Sydney
I'm so happy for this young lady that her team won! Prayers for you, Laila, and Congrats for getting to hold and kiss that beautiful Cup! Go Blues!
@user name taken I'm just giving props to the amazing medical team that helped her. I guess that makes me an idiot though 🙄
THIS. This is why I was only upset for about 10 minutes after the game. Once I saw Laila holding the cup I was like “yeah, that’s magical.” Just awesome to see.
Justin, your genuine words of kindness speak volumes. Thank you for being such an incredible supporter of patients like Laila. 💙💚-Sydney
As a Bruins fan what's your thoughts on marchys defense fuck up at the line ?
Good for you man. That's good shit.
You guys will probably win the cup next year anyways lol
Memestiff Idk. Hockey is maybe toughest sport to win year in and year out. I’m sure they’ll be competitive regardless. I’m very happy for the Blues fans though. Especially Laila. That kid went through hell and the team was sort of her saving grace. Awesome that she got to witness it in person and join them on the ice. Very happy for her and all St. Louis. Great job.
I've never seen an athlete act so genuine with a child/fan. God bless these two warriors.
As a Bruins fan, this is what made the loss perfectly fine by me.
Im a bruins fan and I can't help but smile and be so happy for Laila. Any pain from losing the cup in 7 is replaced by knowing that Laila had the best moment of her life. Much love. Congrats St. Louis great series.
Phoenix
She was only allowed to be home or at the hospital, Phoenix. She got special permission to travel and go to the games. This kid was ‘The Blues’ inspiration. Gloria!
I'm not crying, you're crying.
Amazing story Blues. Amazing story Laila.
What a story of redemption. Congrats!
Damn onions!!!
I love my hometown team
I stubbed my toe

It's also fighting, swearing and taking pucks to the face.
I’m a bruins fan and I really upset we lost but seeing her this happy makes me feel better. She deserved to see the blues win.
WOW much love to the St Louis BLUES, what a truly wonderful thing to do for that lil girl, and congrats to them for winning the STANLEY CUP

@@easportssucks4347 Marchand is actually a real good guy OFF THE ICE. Go Bruins!
@@easportssucks4347Brad is actually a great guy off the ice. Very involved in the community.
@Jesse Wainwright the players are Canadian .... %75 of the league are Canadians
The Blues are the lucky ones to have this young lady in their lives. I’m sure they’d agree. Keep fighting baby girl ❤️
Wait... it's a girl?!?!
@@h0pesfall What does that mean?
If this doesnt hit your heart, you dont have one
Antonio DG doesn’t seem like you have a brain in your head either. What irrelevant topic are you on about? Go save the world
I prefer to do both
It’s not an either or option
Now enough with your Virtue Signaling and go do something to actually help people in the world too 😉
Thanks for telling me and some others that they don't have a heart.
Antonio DG you typing this from the FRONT LINES? Or in a SAFE PLACE?
Only someone with a heart would say such thing eh lol!
Avs fan here, I gotta love Colton Parayko for his class though. He about damn near made me cry.
SRT480HP yup gotta loves this guy, also go avs
Don't lie, you're crying just like the rest of us!!! No shame in my game as a die hard blues fan and hockey player. I was crying like a little bitch when they won.
Not just a great moment for the Blues, but for that sweet young girl Laila. That was truly awesome. Parayko just earned a lot more respect from me, what a class act.

@@mikedoyle5852 back at ya brother
You guys didn't hand it to us and you fought hard.. What an amazing series and fight for both teams.
Thank you for not making it easy and making us earn it. As a die hard blues fan and hockey player myself I was hurt to see the looks on Boston's players faces after the game so well played.
Both fan bases are amazing, thanks again for making us earn it.
Philly Flyers fan here good job Blues I was rooting for you..... GLORIAaaaaa!!!
I’m a Boston fan... and absolutely love this. Well done, Blues, for including her.
Incredible. Some real class from St. Louis. Congrats from a Caps fan. God is good

L.A Kings fan--Way to go, St. Louis Blues, fellow members of the Second Six. Welcome to the Stanley Cup Champions Club. Your support of Laila is one reason why I love hockey. American college kids and Canadian farm boys sure do provide top notch entertainment. Thanks also to the Boston Bruins.

Lots of love from Philly. So happy for you all. What a series and Laila is a beautiful soul!
Thank You Alex I have been a Blues Fan for 49 years but I really liked those Philly Bullies from the 70s and early 80s Sanderson Clarke etc This Blues team is so deep with talent it could happen again

This is exactly why I adopted St. Louis in this year's playoffs. The team as a whole has class and humility. God bless Colton Parayko. He's a stud on and off the ice.
Im a shattered Bruins fan and this made it all ok for me.
Robby (Ace) Mills
You’re a good man, Robby. Thank you.
I’m downtown at the Blues parade. A half million strong came out in the rain to celebrate our heroes. The biggest party in the world. LGB!

I’m not a hockey fan till now, and i think the blues are my team. What a story. Hope you can all welcome me !! Laila is so strong and beautiful
Love from winnipeg, congrats to the blues... awesome dude... awesome little girl.
Laila is the only reason that I am not sad as a Sharks and Bruins fan for losing to the Blues. I cried like a baby seeing this and could only feel joy for Laila.
SoySauce HairDye I’m a sharks and bruins fan and I agree with you!
A real fan chooses 1 team to root for, not 2, that's borderline bandwagon
Smokin Jay Cutler kinda hard when you’re brought up a fan of one team and then can make decisions for yourself to like another, but still like the team you were raised on 🤷🏻♀️
Smokin Jay Cutler You're being an idiot. One can definitely have more than one team they really like, they'll probably like one team more than the others, but you can still be dedicated to more than one. I tend to attach to the players more than the teams, eg I was raised a Toronto fan, but they turn over their players so quickly, I followed Vancouver's (where I live) team 2000-2009 era, then they traded a lot of players and my fav player to Washington in 07 and I've been a diehard fan of theirs ever since. The important thing is appreciating and supporting good hockey, and good players.
@@ChyloeReece I appreciate the essay u wrote to me, it's clearly I made u butt hurt, and u Writing that long ass essay for me I didnt even read except for the first sentence is truly something u regret writing.
Congrats from Detroit and Philadelphia. St. Louis, you deserve to win the Stanley Cup.
